BBU BANTAMWEIGHT GRUDGE SESSIONS PPV

(from Wembley Arena, London, UK)

BEFORE: Brooke Vincent's BBU career remains stillborn due to a miserable 1-7 record to date but the Mancunian brunette vows to thrive on the Grudge Sessions call-up that was triggered by some pretty obscene twitter comments regarding Hannah Ware's debut victory over Marion Cotillard back in August.

"People say I'm too cute to make it big in this league", Brooke tells Kate Abdo before the fight, "Well, they're obviously WRONG!!! If that stupid split decision loss to Helen Flanagan went the other way, I'd be right up with the bantamweight's best! But I'm still a hot prospect, I'm just 24 and some ugly slugheads haven't even heard of BBU at this age! Count Hannah Ware for example! That's one useless addition to the league I'd like to take care of! Yeah, she couldn't handle my bragging on twitter and here we are! I'm ready to punch her goofy ass into a bloody mess! Does this sound grudge enough for ya?"

Meanwhile Hannah keeps riding the Bruce Willis personal experience that got her the big Hollywood break back in the day and didmisses Brooke's foul pre-fight attitude: "She's obviously desperate at this stage. It's never easy to shake off that jobber image and well, a single win in eight bouts tells me ALL about her I need to know! (laughs). Yeah, my personal goal is to beat Helen George up sooner rather than later but since Brooke was so keen on twitter to have a crack at me, well, be my guest! But I've told her management they'd need to increase their medical insurance policy because she's not gonna even be able to CRAWL out of the ring tonight!"

Brooke Vincent wears a navy blue basque top with white trim, matching knickers and white gloves. Long light brown hair straight. Hannah Ware wears a red basque top with black trim, black knickers and red gloves. Long brown hair tied in a loose bun at the back of her head. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.

Round 1:
Since we're in London, the older brunette has the entire Wembley Arena behind her and it clearly affects Brooke's early performance. It's much straight-forward to score easy points on twitter than to face the real-life adversity especially that Hannah means business quickly tonight. She squares up to the Coronation Street stalwart and buries her behind a point-blank range assault that Vincent seemingly never anticipated. That's a cardinal mistake which allows the older actress to pick her off at will and reel back towards the ropes thereafter. Brooke swings plenty of shots over the top in chaotic response but lacks precision and succumbs to the London-backed heat as she slumps on the ropes underneath Ware's onslaught and fails to cover up for a late jabbing flurry that swivels her head back & forth at the bell.

Round 2:
That was a terrible start from the younger brunette and things improve only slightly in the second. Vincent avoids getting trapped early but she doesn't have the legs to escape Ware's swarming efforts and is forced to duke it out in close range - a classic grudge bout scenario. She thumps a couple of solid hooks into Hannah's face but eats twice as many in response and wobbles onto her heels while looking for a way out to the left. Ware clobbers her to the body and slumps into a standstill before mounting an uppercut rally that dissects the high guard and sends the Corrie babe tripping into the ropes. Brooke only covers up in survival mode and truly shows nothing to justify her pre-fight twitter bragging which results in a deafening ovation from the London audience. Hannah shakes her glove in delight at the bell and she has every reason to celebrate such a great start to this bout.

Round 3:
Brooke tries to slow things down a little and manages to lure the older brunette into a hectic yet ineffective jabbing rush before dishing out a nice counterpunching combo over the top. She smacks Hannah's lips from both flanks and signs off her best action of the night with a hook to the solar plexus. Ware gets stuffed on her heels against the odds and keeps misfiring instead of thinking better of it. Thankfully for her, Vincent gets carried away too much and fails to steer her shots spot on target which leads into a lenghty scuffle that bears more resemblance to a wrestling show than actual boxing and allows Ware to see out the otherwise difficult period in a late clinch.

Round 4:
Vincent tries to disrupt the fellow brunette's rhythm by working short half-uppercuts from the inside but Ware catches her on the fly with a solid hook on the temple and takes off with a jabbing rush that sticks deep into the cleavage and reels the Corrie babe backwards. A wild swing from the back foot actually smacks Hannah on the nose but she rushes in with more point-blank range hooks and sends Vincent into the turnbuckle where she finally cashes in with some crisp body shots. Brooke delays the action by clinching the older actress who then gets called for an invisible headbutt. The break is short-lived though and Vincent fails to escape the dangerous position so applies another crowd-annoying clinch but Hannah still ravages the midsection to run away with the scorecards.

Round 5:
The lack of a big punch from Vincent is visible and it encourages Ware into more offensive heroics that would have been punished by a more experienced opponent. However the execution level drops badly in the fifth and Brooke is able to deke out of danger until the second minute when she clubs a couple of hooks on the nose to truly take the sting out of Hannah's drive. In fact, the older actress gets stacked up in the center of the ring and soaks up a solid jabbing series on the rack herself before Brooke lands a quick uppercut on the jaw and forces her opponent butt-in-ropes for the very first time tonight. She tries to add more damage but gets wrapped up in a clock-exhausting clinch and the Hammersmith girl looks clearly upset after the bell despite loud chants of support from the Wembley Arena audience.

Round 6:
Both women rip into each other from the opening bell as Hannah dwarfs the Corrie babe's wandering route and digs into her midriff before tackling the boobs up high. Vincent leans onto her trying to carry more momentum from the previous round but quickly finds the gut-checking drive too hot to handle and steps aside while looping a left hook over the top. However Ware ducks underneath that and blows a monster left uppercut on the rack herself before blasting Brooke on the lips with a follow up from the other side. Ugh! Vincent wobbles to her heels and drops her arms just low enough for Ware to HAMMER in a right cross on the nose that sinks the younger brunette on her knees. Brooke tries to find her balance but slumps forward and meets a crunching uppercut to the jaw THAT WHIPS HER FLAT ON HER BACK moments later... A sudden upgrade in power punching breaks the Mancunian defense and raises the roof off Wembley Arena. Hannah looks a little stunned by that knockdown and Brooke desperately wants to get back onto her feet. She rushes her revival at six but is left stranded in the center of the ring and Ware picks her off from point-blank range again... she hoofs Brooke's mitts aside and sticks in a bruising series on both cheeks that simply trembles the Corrie actress forward and leaves her at the Hammersmith faithful's mercy... and there's no mercy shown here on Grudge Night as Hannah tears the skin under Brooke's left eye and renders her numb just in time to warrant the ref's decision to step in... Vincent's arms collapse by her side and she gets punched into the ropes which makes the stoppage a very popular result in London! The man in charge grabs a handful of Brooke's bumpers and wraps her back to the corner just as the older actress was ready to knock her unconscious! TKO6 Hannah Ware!!!

AFTER: The Wembley Arena celebrates a massive Hammersmith victory and Hannah herself is just pumped over the vicious injrection that put Brooke Vincent's challenge to rest in the sixth. It wasn't as clear-cut performance as the rapid start indicated and Vincent shows enough flashes of skill to believe she's got what it takes to avoid being laughed off as a complete jobber in the foreseeable future. However she ends up choking on tears and pounds the turnbuckle in frustration when she realizes it's all over here on the Grudge Sessions. Guess she can enjoy the twitter backlash now as the social media should have a field day mocking her ill-fated pre-fight bravado.

Meanwhile Hannah still wants a piece of Helen George next and tells Kate Abdo that she doesn't care if tonight's performance wasn't perhaps as impressive as the debut scalp she took off Marion Cotillard. A win is a win and that's the original truth in this results-driven universe. She made a solid start to her BBU career and has nothing to be ashamed of - even without Bruce Willis' personal approval of her boxing portfolio.

Final result: Hannah Ware def. Brooke Vincent TKO6.
