Is Debby a flyweight or a bantam? She fights at bantam again tonight , but word has it that the 23 year old struggles to take the bigger girls’ punches, which makes her vulnerable. 20 year old Sasha is also fluctuating between the two categories, and seems to have a similar problem. Either way, this fight is unlikely to last the distance.

Sasha is in the ring first, wearing a black bikini, gloves and boots, with Debby in a blue one piece, gloves and boots, and they’re staring hard at each other.



Round 1



Neither girl looks in a hurry as the fight begins, each looking to find some rhythm in the opening round, and keen not to be hit too early. Although Sasha’s looking a little keener than Debby as she unloads a couple of jabs, only to get popped back by Debby’s response, and the girls stand off, Debby this time coming forwards first, then Sasha rebuffs her, and then punishes her with some neat jabs, Debby drifting backwards, but recovering, hitting Sasha with a right and a left, probing with a solid jab, taking a shot to her ribs, then getting caught over the top of her guard, before recovering and she’s on top as the round closes – nothing to choose between these two yet.



Round 2



The round starts quietly again, before Sasha lands to Debby’s rack, and that’s annoyed the redhead, who swiftly moves up a gear, and gives Sasha a sharp one-two, driving her backwards to the ropes, where she can punish her. But Sasha has other ideas, covers at first, then fights back, Debby’s head jerking backwards, and then blonde gives her a couple of digs to her midriff, bends her over, and tries for an uppercut, Debby blocking, swatting Sasha with a couple of right hooks in response, and Sasha’s on the back foot, gets popped again with a right hook, and looks a little troubled, before using some nippy footwork to get out of trouble, then striking back with a right hook of her own before Debby closes the round out by keeping her pinned on the ropes, and she’s just about done enough to win the round.



Round 3



Debby looks more confident now, and she knows she’s got the punches to hurt Sasha, slotting her right jab into the blonde girl’s face now, and making her back away, covering her face with her gloves, as Debby goes for her body instead, Sasha managing to clinch now, and frustrate Debby, who’s trying to hit her, but not succeeding at this stage. The referee breaks and resets the girls, and now Debby lands a couple of good punches on Sasha, who again backs away, doesn’t want to trade with the redhead, it seems, and Debby rocks her with a right hook, and with a solid left to follow, Sasha on her heels, and she sways clear of Debby’s next pair of punches, lands an uppercut in defiant retaliation, but Debby swats her face with another right hook, and Sasha took punishment in that round.



Round 4



The girls are back to being cagey and defensive, but Debby is the one who starts throwing punches, although she’s not landing because Sasha’s being really mobile, staying clear, but also hitting Debby on the counter, and her punches are actually causing the redhead some problems, and as the round wears on, it’s Sasha gaining control, and she’s hitting a tiring Debby with her left and her right, the punches sending Debby back to the ropes looking shaky, and she can’t keep the blonde girl off her, Sasha’s right glove smacking into Debby’s face, and Debby’s not doing well now, staggers backwards, with Sasha trying her out with a pair of clumping uppercuts, and maybe Debby’s eyes look a little glazed now, the bell ending a horrid round for the busty redhead.



Round 5



Debby seems to be in better shape again now, and she moves after Sasha, who’s back on her bike, with Debby chasing after her, and the redhead walks into a sharp one-two, staggers again, then Sasha hits her with a solid right hook, and puts Debby on the canvas! She gets up at 7, but she’s really not in a good place now, as Sasha hits her again, pins her to the ropes, and looks set to finish her off, the referee in close attendance, and he steps in! It all over!



Result: Sasha Pieterse stopped Debby Ryan in round 5.



That’s a big disappointment for Debby, who’s face looks very sore as she sits on her stool, tears streaming over bruised and swollen cheeks. Meanwhile Sasha’s dancing in triumph, celebrating a win she’ll savour for a long time.
