Before: Liu carrying 110 well on the scales, but drops back to 105 on fight night - Langton a solid 118, maybe a little more in the ring. Langton the most successful boxer against Liu, sending Lucy into a brief tailspin a while back, but the bigger brunette enters the underdog on reputation alone. Liu in slick ponytail, black push up, leopard print boy cut trunks - Brooke in violet sports bra, grey high cut aerobics bottoms, messy ponytail. Small gloves for both.

R1: You train for weeks, you watch miles of tape, you prepare for every eventuality - and then you get hit by Lucy Liu. Liu nearly tearing Brooke's head off with the first punch of the fight - a leaping left uppercut off a feint that puts Langton wobbly butt seconds in. 3 minutes of hellish punishment follow - Liu coming at her wrecked opponent from all angles, targeting each body part for destruction with a series of crashing power punches while Langton just tries to survive. At one point, Liu backs a groggy Langton to the ropes, takes her by the waistband of her trunks and pushes her weight into the brunette, then tugs her forward, clouting her hard across the face, putting her shoulder back in to repeat the process. Ref breaks up the nonsense, slapping Liu's hand away from the there - but Brooke is dazed, helpless to prevent it. At another point, Liu presses up on Langton, shielding the brunette from the ref and stuffs meanspirited left hands into Brooke's crotch - senselessly fouling the already dazed opponent who slumps forward with breathless whimpers as Liu works. Final minute sees Liu break Brooke down with devastating uppercuts to the stomach, setting up a twisting left hook on the jaw that leaves Langton staring at the bell. Shattered Brooke doesn't go down, but she's helped to her corner - Meanwhile Liu intercepts the ring card girl, takes the sign away from her and struts the ring with it to the delight of the audience.

R2: Brooke not fully recovering, but operational, comes out with elbows in, gloves at her chin ready to work. Liu clowning, hands down, dancing and delighting in outrageous dodges to make the more orthodox brunette miss. Langton stays focused however, nicking Liu with the jab, dropping the straight right hand to the sternum and by the final minute she's hacked out the points while Lucy showboats.

R3: Brooke uptempoing, punching with Liu and both girls bounce fists hard off faces and bellies in a series of exchanges. Midway through, Liu gets caught midleap as Langton times the Asian uppercut, swiveling Liu's head with a short left hook and DOWN GOES LIU! Lucy dropped to her butt beats the count, all traces of clowning absent as she squares up hurt. Langton piles on to the bell, fitting her fists into Liu's sides, curling short punches across Lucy's abs and hacking down on the Asian's ears as Liu is pummelled to the ropes.

R4: Langton staying disciplined, letting an angry Lucy Liu come to her and punching with Lucy to disrupt the Asian's rhythm. Langton with marvelous discipline, nailing Lucy regularly and Liu looks a little ragged by the final minute, hands down, bending very low at the waist. Brooke shortening up her strokes, picks and pecks Liu to the ropes again and finishes up the stronger girl, putting combinations together to win her third straight round. Wear and tear starting to show on both girls - Lucy's Asian eyes swelling for the first time in a long time.

R5: Langton out with jolting straight right hands, doubling and tripling the punch straight down the pike and LIU GOES DOWN! Lucy unhurt, rolling to her back and jumping to her feet, but she's definitely disoriented. Liu rushing in to get the points back - Langton deftly walking her into tight little hooks or chopping right hands to bang the Asian up on the way in. Brooke touching up with her shoulder on Liu before cranking that tight left hook, bangs away at close range on Liu's jaw and Lucy's legs lock up. Lucy bends desperately forward as Langton tags her repeatedly with the left hand - a stuffing hook to the side drops Liu to one knee for the second knockdown of the round. Liu up slowly, mouth open - she doesn't look right and on comes Langton. Brooke never out of position, putting her punches together to keep up the pressure, but giving Liu no obvious counter opportunities. Liu beaten to the ropes and savaged to the head and body as Brooke bodies up to the bell.

R6: Liu back on her toes, finally answers with a classy run and shoot shutout this round. Langton tightly covered up, gives Liu the body, pivoting as Liu hits and sweeps past to set up from a new angle. Liu doing no damage, but controlling the tempo throughout - she's uncharacteristically cautious with Langton still dangerous after 6.

R7: Brooke just keeping the pressure on, punching with Liu, then when Lucy's rhythm breaks down, moving in to work the body with snapping hooks and right hands. Liu absorbing bantam shots well, but she's down off her toes, clinching more than usual and not initiating the exchanges. Langton grinds out another round, staying close to her foe, making Lucy trade inside. Liu looking hollow eyed at the bell, slumping wearily in her corner - she's in trouble going into the final third of the bout.

R8: Lucy toughing out another slugging round. Liu bending forward as she steps back, lunges upwards to tag stomach with dragging uppercuts, but Langton's walking through the punches now to make the fight. Liu able to dip and counter successfully, pulls out the round, but Langton with very confident body language back to her corner.

R9: All Brooke Langton as she jabs Liu to the ropes, steps in and goes to work on the hips and midriff with constant, methodical work. Shove and slug from Brooke as Liu covers up and takes her mugging, but down the stretch, Lucy looking broken down, suddenly comes alive and NAILS Brooke a hard sweeping left hand to the cheek. Langton wobbly butt, hanging on and Liu reefs to the waist with both hands at the bell to steal the round.

R10: Langton warned to be careful in her corner, but she has good success early touching Liu's eyes with the jab and just goes with the flow. By the middle minute, Langton is walking Liu down, battering her with slashing combinations, then grimly stalking as Liu wearily steps away. Down the stretch, Brooke pummelling Liu against the ropes when once again, Lucy times her perfectly, beating Langton to the hook on the jaw and stunning the beautiful brunette. Brooke clinching, ties Liu up the rest of the way as Lucy struggles to free up punching room. Ref struggles to separate the combatants at the bell, and after a long delay the decision comes back - UD10 Brooke Langton!

After: Liu expressionless as Brooke's hand is raised, Lucy's eyes swollen to slits, lips cracked, face shiny with abuse. Langton prancing the ring with hands held high, crying tears of jubilation as a lonely Lucy Liu exits painfully from the ring. Brooke took everything Liu had to give in the first, then pounded out a tough win by dropping Liu 3 times to the canvas. Langton tells Leno in the days to come, "It was an easy fight in a lot of ways. By the third round I really think she knew she was in over her head." No question Langton took Liu's punching better than a flyweight could have - leaves Lucy with some decisions to make.
