Before: Flyweight royalty, girls embroiled in lengthy negotiations about who will enter the ring first, ring size - on and on. Liu with all the pop in this fight, but Kelly has the disciplined boxing and counterpunching mentality to get Liu off her game. Lucy looking to re-establish herself as the baddest fighter at 110, needs a return to those dramatic KO finishes to impress tonight. Lucy in red bikini, Kelly in black.

During R1: Liu showboating with her hands down, flat footed while bending and leaning on her hips. Kelly not getting caught up in it - blonde dukes up, dragging her front foot in a bucket as she pivots right or left around Liu, tagging her with an insistent, stinging jab on the face. Liu leaping in with her circus shots from the knees, but Packard's too disciplined for it, ruining the lunges with well timed jabs or fades, forcing Lucy to come forward. Midway through, beautiful step back, counter left catches lunging Liu on her eye - Lucy sent stumbling to her left, blinking and carrying on, hamming it up for the ref by claiming a thumb. Packard able to clean up nice to the ribs late as Liu covers up, goes defensive on the ropes.

R2: Packard stepping, spearing the jab, circling left - Liu with her hands on her thighs, leaning back, bending forward with her head below waist level on the opponent - real mongoose and cobra stuff. Lucy slipping the jab now, moving her head in mesmerizing patterns. Kelly misses a jab over Liu's right shoulder - Lucy weaves in, leaps up out of the crouch and gets EVERYTHING into a torquing short hook on the chin. Packard out on her feet - Liu able to twist in a forget-me-not right hand square on the face as Kelly's drifting back - blonde sprawling pretty on her back all knocked out! Devastating KO2 Lucy Liu.

After: THAT'S the Lucy Liu of old - toying with her foe, unorthodox, leaping attack - she gives away some minutes getting to Kelly, but once she did: curtains. Packard brought around all numb and tingly - she's a shabby, heartbroken wreck when a giddy Liu gathers her up and parades her for a gaudy walk of shame. Liu with the right arm snug around Kelly's waist, waving with the free left - Kelly's head lolling, feet shuffling as she's barely aware of the spectacle.
