Jeanette Biedermann vs Samara Weaving
Lioness Club vs BronzedOz Boxing
(10-13, 9 KO vs 1-0, 1 KO)
Venue: Mercedes-Benz Arena
Location: Berlin, Germany

BEFORE: Any conventional wisdom would suggest that Jeanette Biedermann should be joining her German compatriots over at the Black Eagles and headline the Cologne-based events time and time again but the uneasy relationship with former Lioness head trainer Gina Wild simply becomes too big of a problem to make it happen. Biedermann remains the most experienced German BBU fighter outside of Jessica Schwarz and has openly accused Wild of derailing her career which has indeed stalled over the past couple of years. Now with Gina no longer overseeing Jeanette's training regime, the only way is up but BBU TV's Georgie Thompson believes it's basically a mission impossible given that the Berlin-born singer will turn 36 in a couple of weeks time.

On the other hand we have a girl who is supposed to shoot up the rankings in the foreseeable future. Bronzed Oz's Samara Weaving handed a nasty beating to arch enemy Rhiannon Fish on her debut in the fall of 2015 and is set to spoil the crowded ACB prospects given the opportunity. Several "Home & Away" members have joined the BBU roster since Weaving's debut but "Green & Gold" chief editor Sarah Cumming labels the 24 year old blonde as Down Under's version of Samia Ghadie which should tell the European fans a lot about her style & ring attire.

Jeanette Biedermann wears a black bikini top, golden knickers and red gloves. Long blonde hair tied in a sleek ponytail. Samara Weaving wears a neon green bikini set and black gloves. Long blonde hair straight. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.

Round 1:
We're in Biedermann's home city of Berlin for this special international edition of BBU action and the local girl pushes for early success as she dismisses all the pre-fight talk about Weaving's hot prospects. Despite giving away two inches in height, Jeanette catches some quick steam as she pounces on the fellow blonde's subpar guard and sticks her gloves into the pretty Aussie face that immediately brings joy among the audience. Samara's footwork was hailed as supreme by Sarah Cumming but there's no evidence of that during the opener as Biedermann dominates the close range tangle and works repeatedly upstairs, seemingly trying to take her opponent's head out at every possible moment. Samara's forced to duck and weave out of trouble but soon finds herself pegged on the back foot and has to clinch the singer for safety - Biedermann has none of it and pierces her ribcage to secure easy connection before driving the shockingly subdued Aussie back to the ropes where the bell finally halts the German charge.

Round 2:
Lioness Club's head coach Mel B. is missing from the Berlin action tonight but BBU Hall Of Famer Jessica Schwarz offers her advice as probably the only person capable of talking some sense into Jeanette. The singer has been often caught out by her short fuse approach and Georgie Thompson reckons that blaming Gina Wild for all her short-comings is a mere excuse to cover for the lack of elite talent. Well, that's not the case tonight so far as the Berlin native sticks more juice into Samara's face and clearly enjoys the bulldozing nature of this bout. Bulldozing albeit one-sided as Weaving woefully misses her counter jabs and bounces off the forearms and mitts far too often to make an impact. She fails to tame the German onslaught and gets whacked back to the ropes in the final minute where Jeanette shows her versatile skills by switching down on the midriff and ripping clean hooks around Samara's elbows. Ugh! The "Home & Away" stalwart gets badly bruised in that single lane traffic exchange and looks downright upset at the bell while the Mercedes-Benz Arena audience chants Jeanette's name from top to bottom.

Round 3:
Jeanette has blitzed through the first couple of rounds but she hasn't rocked the Aussie into serious damage and encounters trouble early in the third when she misses the overhand swing only to get knocked back by a whirlwind left hook on the temple. Samara comes to life from behind the guard and slings more juicy hooks to skim off the singer's temples and briefly tame the rampant applause around the arena. While Jeanette becomes visibly upset, she refuses to back off from a classic flyweight punchfest and launches a war of attrition mission that leaves Weaving nursing a fat lip before too long but this time the push towards the ropes doesn't materialise and the Aussie tourist nails her on the nasal ridge with a mighty double overhand to wobble the singer forward into a jaw clearing uppercut. Ugh! That punch makes Biedermann wince in pain and she's in no position to fend off the jug busting follow up that lasts until the bell and has the older blonde scowling in anger long thereafter.

Round 4:
Samara's fully in the groove now as she mirrors Jeanette's aerial bombs - with a much better effect - and soon begins to clip the singer's temples a little too often for comfort. She freezes the local favorite in the middle of the ring and chops her in the guts for a good measure with the pace of her attacks clearly dominating Biedermann's frantic attempts that suddenly lack energy and precision. It's a familiar sight for anyone who's followed the singer's career from day one and despite plenty of effort, there's no repeat of the early success while Weaving simply splits the German mitts regardless and has the older blonde shaking on her knees come the final minute. Jeanette must yield real estate down the stretch and almost trips back to the cornerpost, a last-ditch escape allows her to walk back to center of the ring but the stalking nature of Samara's progress casts serious doubt over the German's victory chances now.

Round 5:
The age and reach difference begins to stamp it's mark on the two vixens and the ill-advised effort from Jeanette to brawl it out in close range meets a nasty response when Samara slips by the overhand approach and crashes into the singer's jaw with a double uppercut combo seconds into the fifth. Ugh! Biedermann's knees hit the jelly mode and the local girl is knocked back to the turnbuckle with ease when another hook finds the nasal ridge and really pours trouble all over the Berlin-born veteran. Even Jessica Schwarz could do very little about that as her compatriot shifts back on her heels and can only watch as Weaving cashes in with more facial strikes that drop the guard by the wayside and enable the tourist to swivel Jeanette's platinium ponytail back & forth in the corner. When one of the left hooks tears a bloody patch across the singer's nasal ridge it becomes too much for the embattled veteran who checks out of her stance AND TAKES A KNEE unable to find a different solution to the increasing barrage of Australian leather thumping her face raw... What a nightmare for the Berlin audience! Jeanette is given a mandatory eight count but looks all lost at sea when she nods back to the ref and Weaving resmues the head hunting on the spot inflicting a couple of bloody shiners below the left eye come the bell. Jeanette displays the dead meat attire at half-distance but to make matters worse, Samara is done stamping her authority as she bumps her in the jugs and vows to knock out senseless within another minute or two.

Round 6:
Biedermann looks to somehow survive the looming Australian onslaught but she's wandering about the ring on soft knees and simply doesn't have the strenght neccessary to sustain the ineviteable attack. Samara slices through the high guard with ease and begins to rock that platinium ponytail all over town again to the point Jeanette's eyes are shut and the poor girl wobbles into a jack-hammer uppercut on the chin THAT RAGDOLLS HER FACE-DOWN at Weaving's feet on the spot. The Berlin crowd is truly silenced with that front page haymaker and there's no way back from this one anymore. Jeanette pushes herself off both elbows but the face plant only resulted in the cuts on her face leaving visible blood stains on the canvas and when she notices them, she simply slides down into the agony of defeat. Wicked KO6 Samara Weaving!!!

AFTER: Only Jessica Schwarz can stop the Aussie tourist from rubbing this result into Jeanette's swollen face and thankfully for the sake of the German pride, the BronzedOz actress obeys to the Hall Of Famer's evil look from the opposite side. "I still beat her up like a frickin' punching doll!", she yells out at the brunette and turns her attention to Georgie Thompson who joins her in the ring to conduct the interviews: "Well, I only made the long trip to tell everyone that there's more to the ACB flyweights than Dannii Minogue and Bonnie Sveen! And unlike the latter, I actually HAVE a management already. I've heard that Ariel Kaplan wants to act as Bonnie's understudy on the upcoming ACB Flyweight Title card.... hmm... how about I rearrange her face to remove her from any future understudy ideas? She's a ring girl material at best anyway! I mean, she's from the trashy Neighbours brigade and those wimps deserve a beating like no other.. even Jeanette and Rhiannon Fish ain't that low on my list... well, maybe not Rhiannon but you get my drift?"

This tirade would indeed make Samia Ghadie proud but Georgie Thompson can't decide whether that's good or bad considering Weaving's market value going forward. While Bonnie Sveen has made all the ACB noise among her BBU peers last month, Samara has similar tools to become a serious contender and shouldn't be overlooked by the media that quickly even if it's hard to imagine someone punching as hard as Sveen does in the 110 lbs class. Life is indeed good for all the 'Green & Gold' subscribers these days and Georgie is convinced we'll hear more from them really soon again.

Final result: Samara Weaving def. Jeanette Biedermann KO6.
