DANIELLE CAMPBELL VS OLIVIA HOLT
Results: Lookout Writing: Archer
Danielle: 22 YO, 5’3 (1.60 m), 9-5-0 since 2014, Pretty Little Punchers
Olivia: 19 YO, 5’2 (1.57 m) Debut, Odds and Ends Fight Studio

Before: “Oh yes, I’ve heard of Danielle Campbell,” bright blonde Olivia Holt tells the pre-fight press, “but I have to wonder just how much better she is than me. Sure she’s had over a dozen fights, but she has spent her time fighting other ingenues like Dove Cameron, Sammi Hanratty and Emily Osment. You don’t see her fighting serious flyweights. Now I don’t claim to be a serious flyweight now, but that’s my intention. I guess I have to start near the bottom and fight someone respectable, but not overwhelming. You know, someone I can beat and then move on to the next level. Near as I can tell, that’s a level ‘Comic Book Girl’ has never gotten to.”

Danielle Campbell is wearing one of her trademark DC Comics tee-shirts (in this case The Flash) and she is not amused at the blonde rookie’s comments. She gives Olivia a murderous look and then goes to the podium.

“You stupid blonde rookies should know better than diss me,” Danielle informs Olivia, “I have a way of making them sorry and you are not going to like it either. For your information, who I fight is part of a careful strategy my management and I have developed. They see no need to feed me into the Flyweight Meat Grinder—something I am sure will turn you into vegie-burgers soon enough, but I will be thrilled to start the process. You should be grateful I cared enough to fight you!”

“Oh get over yourself!” Olivia retorts. “Flattening your big ego is going to be my bonus in this fight.”

Danielle is glaring at Olivia, but knowing how it is with young flyweights, FCBA Security is close by and several of these large gentlemen move into position. Danielle seems to consider her chances of successfully pouncing on Olivia and then shakes her head.

“I will deal with YOU in the ring!” she snaps and marches away.

“See you then ‘Comic Book Girl’!” Olivia calls out.

There is still a lot of tension as the two young fighters meet in the ring on Fight Night. Danielle is in a gold bikini with matching gloves and boots (black laces). She wears her hair in a simple ponytail. Olivia is in a silver bikini with black trim. Black boots and gloves with silver laces. Her blonde hair is in the ponytail as well. Dani and Liv glare at each other and start pushing at each other with their bodies. Referee has his hands full keeping order but finally gets the two of them safely dispatched to their corners. The bell rings.

R1: No surprise as the eager Danielle and Olivia tear across the ring and start swinging. Pretty wild shootout in the opening minute as heaving punches are thrown at each other’s heads, though most are easily evaded. Action calms down a bit as DC goes forward hammering at Liv’s untested body. Olivia smacked pretty good, but she fires right back with a ragged jab. Danielle trying to get a shot at the blonde’s head, but gets a bit too intent on her target. Olivia surprised the brunette with a solid right uppercut off the jaw. Dani backs up and Olivia quick to follow with some solid banging to the midsection. DC still backing up with Olivia right on top of her. Danielle finally gets her jab going and Olivia’s advance halts. Vigorous punch exchange to the bell which the judges give to the newcomer by a narrow margin.

R2: Both fighters right back at each other and it is pretty even in the early going as they bob and weave while keeping up a steady number of punches. Danielle getting some good ones into Olivia’s body, but the blonde fighting back with determination giving DC some body shots to remember. Back and forth it goes, but Danielle pounding the belly again and again. Liv has to swing away trying to keep out of range. DC keeping up but then eats some of Olivia’s improving jabs as they slide over Danielle’s guard and into her mouth. Danielle drops down and hooks to the belly again forcing Liv to back up. Bell rings as Danielle pulls out a close, hard-earned round.

R3: Danielle returns to the body attack, but this time she finds Olivia moving around a lot more and is thus a more evasive target. DC trying to cut off the blonde, but then Liv comes back at her and hammers Dani hard to the chest. DC not appreciating the jugg attack gives Liv some bra busters in response. Olivia feeling the punches all right, but she is shaking it off to keep up the fight. Then Olivia’s footwork skills pay off when she is able to get a crashing right in to Danielle’s cheekbone, DC;s head spun around, her own ponytail comes around and slaps her across the face! Dani staggering as Olivia scrambles to pursue. Anxious moments for the Puncher corner as Liv tries to bang Danielle into the ropes, but DC rallies behind her jab and steers herself back to midring. Dani’s defenses harden and Olivia can’t do more damage, but as the round ends, the stanza goes on her side of the card by a wide margin.

R4: Danielle seems to shake off the headshot over the break and she comes out fighting. Olivia quickly finding herself struggling to cope with the relentless attack. DC looking quite fired up as she punches away at Olivia’s body and head. Olivia starting to get confused as she isn’t sure what Dani will do next and takes some strong punches to the jaw and chin. Liv looking shaky for a few moments, but remembers her jab and uses it to keep Danielle back. Still, the round goes to Danielle by a wide margin.

R5: Olivia rallying as she charges into Danielle at the start of the round., Dani not entirely surprised, fights back strongly with counterpunching. Bodies getting most of the attention as the leather attack continues from both fighters, but then Olivia gets a straight right that smacks Danielle between the eyes. DC knocked back on her heels, but recovers quickly and continues to duel with the blonde, Dani hitting Liv hard to the belly, but then Olivia bangs a hard right to the side of Dani’s head. DC slackens off just a bit and Olivia gives her some payback hooks to the belly. Danielle striking back but not enough to discourage the blonde. Two of them go at it to the bell. Judges decide to give it to Olivia but it is close.

R6: Battle seems to be going back and forth so both fighters now want to seize control. This brings on a furious opening flurry as they clash at midring. Shots are better aimed now and scoring to the head. Liv and DC trying to evade the head shots which brings on a swirling battle of punching as they move around the ring, Very pretty to watch while it is raging. Gradually they slow down and finally get into a toe to toe battle. Chin and jaws getting whacked hard along with torsos. Neither fighter willing to back off and they pour more and more energy into the battle. Both faces lumping up noticeably, but still they hammering away. The bell rings and they step back with woozy looks on their aching, swollen faces. Then they turn away and slowly return to their corners. Judges can’t choose a winner and declare this round a DRAW!

R7: Danielle and Olivia sagging on their stools during break as Puncher and O&E corner crews try to get them ready. Bell rings and the two lurch to their feet. Both are cautious as they get in range, but once punching starts, the pace quickly picks up. Danielle showing more quickness as she bobs and weaves, popping up unexpectedly to drill Olivia in the face and head. Olivia struggling to cope with this, but isn’t running. Danielle seems to be stalking the blonde looking for just the right moment to strike. Then Dani suddenly ducks down and shoots up, bringing a lightning right uppercut up through a gap she detected in Olivia’s guard. CRUNCH! Olivia caught flush under the chin and her head jerked back as she pinwheels wildly backwards. Then the blonde goes down on her back with a CRASH! Danielle hurries to neutral corner. Olivia lying at her back, raising her head slightly but with a “Nobody Home” look in her eyes. She puts her head back down and rests peacefully as the count goes by her!
The Winner: DANIELLE CAMPBELL!

After: PLP stablemates Lucy Hale and Sasha Pieterse rush out to hug the victorious Danielle. Dani looking more than a little shaky herself, but once the gloves come off and she spots Olivia now recovered in the O & E, she is quick across the ring.

“On your feet rookie, time to learn about Walks of Shame—I’m sure you’ll be taking a lot of them,” Dani says unkindly.

“I don’t see why I should—“ Olivia snaps, but Danielle grabs her by the arm and hauls to her feet.

“You’re coming and that’s it,” Danielle pronounces. She gets an arm around the blonde’s waist and starts hustling her along.

Olivia goes along but she is plainly not happy about it. As they finish the circuit, Olivia rips her arm away from DC and snarls: “You are going to pay for this. Danielle Campbell, I promise you that!”

“Oh goodie—another feud,” Danielle says, “The Wannabees are going to be SO jealous. See you around Livvy.”

“I just hate her,” Olivia mutters darkly as she is led away from the ring.

Lively young flyweight bout. Plenty of back and forth action with newcomer Olivia Holt showing she could keep up with the more seasoned Danielle Campbell. At least until that 7th round as a fierce 6th round left both fighters hurting but Dani able to shake off faster than Liv. Another good win for the Puncher hopeful. Meanwhile O & E can’t be too discouraged by this opening effort. The talent is there, but Ms. Holt still has things to learn as her FCBA career progresses.
