Olivia Wilde versus Elodie Frege
(Words: Bazz / Results: Lookout!)

Before: “Livie’s dynamic, downright electric really. One false move and you’re done if you’re not careful with this one. She’s got that killer instinct to go along with that smooth quickness too. So trust me I’m not planning on making any mistakes. I’m going to be that much quicker and that much more deadly than Olivia Wilde tonight. That’s what it takes to bring down one of these Bazz bantams just be quicker and downright nastier and that’s me tonight.” Elodie Frege concludes in front of the media assembled before her.

“Elodie has good reason to be giving the Bazz bantams the respect that we deserve. Hell the way Pointy has things set up at our training camp it’s like gladiator school over there. So yeah I’m tough and they work real hard to make sure that I’m as quick as I can possibly be but Elodie is one quick jack rabbit herself and I don’t expect her to swoon at the sight of the first jab that comes her way out there tonight. That’s because I’ve seen what she’s capable of in the ring so I expect a real donnybrook. Hang on to your seats ladies and gents.” Olivia Wilde warned her constituency before stepping down from the podium.

Rd 1 Olivia out quickly jabbing at Elodie landing the lefts to her face. Elodie bouncing backwards in retreat right off the bat. Olivia ever the ring veteran doesn’t rush in. She waits at the outskirts of Elodie’s reach for an opening and then dances in blasting away at the befuddled Frenchwoman. She circles her prey lunging in with left hand blazing and knocking Elodie’s head back. Elodie reeling from the blows, trying desperately to survive even the first round at this point. Wildegirl bouncing in and out on her opponent and plundering away at will. Elodie finds herself up against the ropes covering up from what has escalated into a Wildegirl beat down seminar. Frege gets off a couple of her own jabs and is able to staunch the flow against the hard charging Olivia. As the round ends the crowd is shocked to see Elodie still standing.

Rd 2 Frege’s corner works diligently to bring her back. However there’s no panic no out of control gesticulations. Elodie is nodding calmly listening to instructions when the bell for round 2 sounds. The Frenchwoman meets Olivia at center ring looking as if nothing had happened just a couple of minutes ago. She’s on the balls of her feet bouncing and jabbing. She slips a couple of punches by Olivia touching up her face and keeping away from some quick counter punches. The two fighters circle each other using their jabs to create an opening for their right hands. Both girls are protecting themselves well and not much is getting through. On occasion though Frege proves that she’s back in the hunt by tapping Olivia on the noggin. Meanwhile Olivia seems content to try and keep her distance and let Elodie set the pace. As the round ends the crowd finds that Elodie is back in form and she has narrowly won the round.

Rd 3 Elodie out and looking to take charge of the fight. She’s slapping at Olivia who is moving out of range and around the ring using her speed to try and tire out the Frenchwoman. Elodie is not impressed. She charges in on the Bazz girl jabbing and then throwing a right hand uppercut that catches Olivia flush and knocks her back against the ropes. Frege all in with a three punch combination that rocks Olivia’s head. She’s in control now banging away on the Wildegirl giving her everything she’s got. Wilde bobbing and weaving trying to stay out of trouble but getting nicked up all the time as Elodie works hard to get inside on her. Suddenly an Elodie right hand sneaks in and OLIVIA’S IN TROUBLE! Olivia steps to her right trying to squeeze out of the tight spot against the ropes and into free space where her quickness can hopefully give her time to recover. Elodie is having none of it though. She’s like a little bully pushing and pawing at Wilde keeping her along the ropes while throwing bombs at the Bazz girl.Meanwhile Olivia is playing defense hoping to hang on to a lead she no longer has.

Rd 4 Elodie springs out to center ring the fight having turned in her favor. She’s ground out a lead during the previous two rounds against a top of the food chain bantam and she’s looking to finish things up during this round. She jabs at Wilde scoring again right off the bat. Wilde frustrated. A wounded beauty having to retreat once again. Elodie a picture of concentration bouncing in on Olivia unloading a combination and retreating back into space. Olivia seemingly out of steam and not looking as if she is into the fight. She attempts throwing a two punch combination at Elodie and missing badly takes a right hook from the hard charging Frenchwoman. Wildegirl getting ground down from the the last three rounds. She steps in with a jab only to get a counter punch across the chin that draws groans from the crowd. Frege finishes up a stellar round with a jab that pushes back Olivia’s face and brings the crowd to its feet.

Rd 5 Olivia’s corner in a quandary as to what has their star fighter in such trouble. Finally Poindexter Del Crunchy comes around and stands in front of Olivia as the corner people try and put her back together. As usual in this situation Pointy does almost no talking. He just stands in front of his seated fighter with arms crossed, a nonplussed look etched across his face. Olivia gets up with a more determined face and marches out to center ring. Wilde comes off with a nice two punch combination and moves to her left shimmying around a Frege counter and then swings and connects on a right hook that brings the crowd to its feet for her for the first time in the fight. Wilde squares up against Frege baring her teeth like a predator. She makes a short lunge at Elodie and then stutter steps to the left dragging a right hand by her opponent and Elodie gets strafed and staggers away from Olivia. Wilde is not letting this opportunity get away from her. She chases down the Frenchwoman and rattles off a vicious five punch combination sending Elodie back against the ropes in a heap. Wilde digs into a devastating barrage against Elodie. She’s punching at will as Eldie starts to wilt when the bell for the round ends.

Rd 6 Olivia takes up a classic boxing stance at center ring. Elodie bobbing and weaving hoping to steer clear of Olivia’s punishing left hand and find an opening herself. She steps forward and throws a nice uppercut but suddenly she’s reeling from a two punch combination thrown by Olivia. Frege in a stupor as she stumbles backwards. Suddenly Wilde strikes again snapping off a crisp jab followed by a power right hand that catches Elodie on the jaw and DOWN GOES FREGE! Elodie lies flat on her back with her hands up at her eyes not moving while the ref counts her out. It’s a 6th round KO for Olivia Wilde!

After: “What a horrible fight! I mean the middle rounds were just no good! Don’t get me wrong it was Elodie that caused the mayhem out there. She would have won the fight if it wasn’t for Pointy revving me up and that nice two punch combo I got off at the beginning of round 5. She’s a disruptive fighter. You have a fight plan and she gets in the middle of it and takes it apart. She’s a very dangerous fighter but so am I and this is another rung ascended on the climb to another title shot.” Olivia states emphatically after luckily escaping against Elodie Frege.
