"She got a big studio push with Coyote Ugly - couldn't deliver on expectations - and got eaten up by the Hollywood machine as a result. So yes - she's fit and muscly, but no, she's not the kind of girl I need to worry about. I've been beating up wannabes my whole career: Piper's just another KO waiting to happen."

Perabo looking slapped: she hadn't expected the high-hand from Summer G. "Guess I was wrong about Summer," Piper muses in rebuttal. "I thought she was a class act, but it turns out she's just another snarky beyotch. She's right about one thing though: I AM fit, and I do have muscles...Summer's going to have a HELL of a time competing with someone as strong as me."

Sum in forest green bikini; small pink gloves; long brown hair gently curled, loose and long. Piper in baby blue push up bra; white cashmere crochet bikini bottoms; small white gloves; hair in ponytail with wispy bangs framing face.

During R1: Summer hands up and palms out - she's rotating clockwise in graceful pivots. Piper setting herself to hook - her torso twisting slightly left, loading up the left shoulder...foiled early as Summer's moving away from that shot. Midway through, Piper scooting in position, misses the hook, but catches Summer a swinging right to chin: Glau's knees unhinged - she covers up earmuff. Piper ripping Summer's slender ribs right/left - blonde girl's back shredding in muscular relief as bashing punches shake Glau. Summer ashen-faced, moving to her right...she feeds Piper a jab; ducks forward in earmuff as Perabo bangs back left/right; Summer answering with a little left uppercut to chin. Tepid stuff from Glau - just enough activity to prevent a blonde jailbreak - but Perabo's coming forward, slamming away on ribs with gusto. Final moments - Summer stooped forward in earmuff, helpless from body punishment...Piper hammering both fists to Glau's armpits and side-boobs - really shaking Summer. Final fat, swinging right roundhouse smashes Summer's left flank at bell...she's very brave on the walk back to her corner, very stoic, but when she sits on her stool, Summer bursts into tears, hugging her throbbing ribcage.

R2: Piper hungry for more Summer - Perabo hopping forward - moving the left hand up and down, then committing on wide right hands HARD to Summer's flank. Summer grimacing, moving to her right as Piper bashes at her - it's blonde girl walking reluctant brunette down, looking for body. Glau issuing smart clinches - getting ref's breaks - but Piper takes her second straight heat.

R3: Summer in earmuff, waiting on Piper: Perabo sweeps the roundhouse right into Glau's leftside ribs; Glau answers back a right uppercut to Piper's chin. Piper willing to take the trade a few more times, but she starts to wobble after a minute: gritty Glau taking shots in order to find chin, getting to her blonde at last. Summer over to offence - jabbing Piper's mouth; forming earmuff/bobbing on the spot as Perabo bangs back; chipping in the left uppercut, then looping the left around Piper's head to lock up for ref's break. Crafty stuff from Summer - she chips and clips away, tying up as necessary: Perabo a confused beauty, getting herself hurt and tied up as Summer regains initiative.

R4: Piper smartens up: no more lead right roundhouses...she keeps her right at her cheek, steps in good stiff left jabs up the middle. Summer poked into retreat, walked down: Piper dipping in to whack right hands to body only after making sure of Summer with the jab. Glau punching back in spots, but usually as she's backpedaling - blonde girl able to come forward strong through 4.

R5: Summer clinching, trying to push Piper around, but having trouble with Perabo's strength. It's Piper muscling Summer - pushing on Glau's shoulders, then walking her down: blonde girl pressing her attack to Summer's ribcage at every opportunity. Late the round - Piper's right hand secures Summer's left wrist down at waist level: Perabo leaning in, poking repeat left hands into Summer's exposed face, punching Glau to ropes! Summer baffled, trying to pull her left hand free, taking punches as she leans against ropes...ref moves in, giving Piper a stern finger-waggle for holding and hitting. Meanwhile: split lower lip for Summer, courtesy Piper's rough play.

R6: Summer hands up/palms out...she's moving briskly to her left - flicking out a limber left jab - sliding back in the face of Perabo aggression and issuing cute little check-hooks off the right (back) leg. Perabo chipped and scuffed here, getting bamboozled...by the time she finds the range on Summer's ribcage, the round's pretty much over.

R7: Summer in full retreat - her head kicking back from jabs as Piper rushes forward. Glau chased around the ring...Summer's legs shabby as she tries to find her balance. Summer trying for right uppercuts, catching Piper on occasion, but Perabo marching through it, bashing away straight combos up top and whacking right hands to Summer's throbbing ribs. Midway through - Glau staggering, launches desperate right uppercut from too far out...Piper hopping in, pounds in a short right cross to win the race...DOWN GOES GLAU! Summer's back knee (right) buckles, touching down - spilling her onto her back with right leg tucked up underneath her...Summer too bendy to be injured, but sickening angle of the leg gets groans from crowd. Glau beats the count shabby - reeling on the spot: she forms wonky face-in-gloves as Piper squares away. OH THE HUMANITY! Perabo bares her teeth, SLAMMING away rights and lefts in behind Summer's elbows, turning the fists over palm down to carve up those ribs. THE REF STEPS IN! Summer paralyzed on the spot, sponging up disasterous punishment - official rescues her from her own pride: TKO7 Piper Perabo the result.

After: Summer tender, cringing on her stool as Medallion physicians tenser-bandage her ribs: good steady punishment prevented Glau from getting into her groove tonight. "She's too flimsy for me," Piper chirps in triumph. "Maybe that bendy crap works on average fighters, but I'm too intense for that. When I get on a girl, it's like a dog on a chewing-rope, you know? I gnaw and gnaw on 'em until they quit!"
