Kristen Stewart vs Cheryl Cole
(Front Street Gym vs Lioness Club)
(31-5, 26 KO vs 15-3, 15 KO)
BWO Rankings: #11 vs #10
Results: Lookout!; Story: Vassago

BEFORE: There's more talk about Kristen Stewart's new bleached blonde buzz-cut making it's FCBA debut here tonight then her actual title ambitions but then again, nobody has accused the "Five Tool Player" of being too soft to barge her way through all these usual suspects, Hall of Famers or allegedly Fittest Flyweights of 'em all. Will the new look help Kristen to get over that championship hump? Everyone knows that Front Street is all about the titles and Stewart's rare PPV appearance totally overshadows Cheryl Cole's bid to enter the Boxing World Magazine's Top 10 ranking.

Cole usually steals all the headlines back home in the UK but she takes a backseat to a flurry of reporters crowding out the Front Street press conference and entrance on fight night; the odds are stacked in favor of the Los Angeles-born actress and Chezza has to eat plenty of humble pie in the media who repeatedly take cheap shots at her distinctive Geordie accent. The size and reach difference work further against the brunette singer; she gives away too inches in height and you can just feel the tension in LCA's corner where Chezza is supported by the stable's head trainer Claudia Schiffer.

Kristen Stewart wears a neon green bikini top, white hotpants and golden gloves. Bleached blonde hair in buzz-cut style. Cheryl Cole wears her trademark black & white vertically striped bikini set and black gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a sleek ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.

Round 1:
Stewart makes an excellent use of her longer reach and peppers the Geordie girl with aggressive overhand jabs which easily find the target. Cheryl's been through a ringer early in her BBU career so she knows all too well when other girls dump nothing but punishment at her yet the lack of a quick move hurts the singer's chances to escape the familiar Front Street heat. Stewart gets a little vocal when she snaps Cole's head back & forth and some members of the audience think this one will be over fast! Chezza does nothing to alter those thoughts as she gets pounded back to the ropes and aches her guts out when Stewart nails her with a left/right combo on the nose right at the bell. Those were probably the worst three minutes of Cole's FCBA crossover career!

Round 2:
It only gets worse for Cole in the second, it's not really about the new haircut but about the significant reach advantage which gives the Geordie lass all kinds of trouble vs 'Five Tool'. Cheryl simply can't enforce the phone booth brawl she hoped for and only skims off the forearms as her body attacks are well blocked by the hitherto superior fighter. Meanwhile Stewart has a field day raining punches upstairs which leave the English singer noticeably swollen come the second minute already. It's too easy for K-Stew here! Chezza might have upstaged Kat Graham over at the Asylum last year but Stewart is anything but Graham and the new feisty attitude helps her to dominate the cumbersome singer pillar-to-post one more time! Ugh! Cole is all lost at sea after six minutes and needs every bit of help from coach Claudia Schiffer during the interval.

Round 3:
Stewart affords herself a quick smile before the third, yeah, even she expected a tougher test against fellow Top 10 hopeful. She's guilty of letting her foot off the gas though and the aerial attacks aren't so punishing in this round anymore while Chezza improves her footwork and escapes the most of the American's otherwise menacing attempts. She sticks some promising blows to the body but Kristen fends off the rallying script by blasting the singer across the mouth late in the final minute and adds another quick strike on the temple to reel a visibly annoyed Brit onto the ropes just before the bell.

Round 4:
Cheryl seeks a slugging war of attrition in the fourth and she promptly gets one as Kristen smacks her across the lips repeatedly but the American also soaks up a proper Geordie reply and Chezza finally wobbles her back on her heels when she lands a nasty hook on the liver area to catch a much needed recovery success. Both girls slug it out in close range and that's where Cheryl wanted it all from the word go; Kristen looks a little carried away by literally whitewashing the scorecards up until now and loses her composure, a couple of headbutts from each side earn the combatants a brief respite but then Stewart regains her mojo and whacks the charging brunette on the lips for the umpteenth time and Cheryl swallows her own blood as 'Five Tool' has finally cut her up. Still, Cole powers ahead and scythes the buzz-cut babe across the mouth herself, that's too little too late to prevent another round being scored in favor of the Front Street fighter though.

Round 5:
BIG PUNCH CHEZZA!!! Stewart's stroll in the PPV park is brutally stopped when she walks into a seemingly errant hook that nails her on the right brow ridge and somehow, just somehow beats the similar overhand effort from the bleached blonde. Ugh! Stewart didn't see it coming and for once her superior reach is rendered irrelevant. And now we have blood seeping from that shotgun blast and 'Five Tool' wobbles straight into a follow up half-uppercut that slams her on the chin! Cue in those wobbly knees next! Cheryl pounces on the stunned opponent like it's the final round of the Masters and swings all over shop to punish the aching actress - most of these shots split the suddenly leaking guard and snap Kristen's head back & forth and Cole simply pounds her back towards the ropes where she switches her targets and harpoons the midsection keeping Stewart nicely wrapped behind a tight earmuff. All Cole here in the fifth and that's the response the folks back in Newcastle were looking for. Still, Stewart has pulled a massive lead on the cards by now and most experts think that only a knockout can save the Geordie pride tonight.

Round 6:
Kristen remains visibly rocked after that horrible fifth round experience and allows Cole to stalk her with mid-range swings that quickly escalate into a proper phone booth exchange the Front Street crew always wanted to avoid tonight. It's almost like something snapped inside K-Stew's head and she looks vulnerable for the first time tonight as she embraces the defensive circles instead of slugging it out with the smaller opponent. Perhaps the buzz-cut blonde wants to lure her foe into a trap here? Or is the slump period for real? Kristen's rarely been away from the Asylum Arena and doesn't look all that almighty anymore especially when Cheryl opens the deep cut around the brow ridge again late in the going and signs off another dominant performance with a drilling hook on the navel that makes 'Five Tool' groan in pain right at the bell.

Round 7:
The Geordie comeback continues and there's defiitely something wrong with Stewart's wounded brow ridge that keeps leaking blood. Chezza's eyes are glued on that spot and so are her punches! And Stewart knows she's in trouble, she becomes over protective on that side and keeps her left arm too low so often that an experienced fighter like Cole begins to pick her off repeatedly which only adds to her advantage. Moreover Chezza's dancing background finally matches Stewart's uptempo approach and she's able to duck underneath a couple of promising aerial attacks from the American. The lack of production is shocking from the Front Street's finest but that brow ridge wound simply affects her too much now and Cheryl makes the most of another solid round by outboxing the tiring actress along the ropes. It's not as punishing as that thunder of a shot in the fifth but very effective as we inch closer to the money rounds.

Round 8:
Kristen really looks tired now and the Front Street cutmen have sigificant trouble in patching her up during the break. What's worse, Cheryl jumps onto another overhand drive and finds the wounded area all too easy to reach; she takes the air out of Stewart's lungs by bursting into her windpipe, a true old school BBU punch of sorts before sticking some uppercuts on the cleavage for a good measure. Kristen lowers her guard a little too much and she gets nuked with another textbook swing on the wounded brow ridge and wobbles against the turnbuckle... there it is again, the blood of course, and Kristen smears some of it against her cheek as Cole shoves the blonde's mitts into her face and rallies supreme in close range to leave the actress slumped on jelly knees come the bell. It's very rare to see Stewart so banged up and out of shape but she's been methodically dismembered by one very tough Geordie lass. And if the looks could kill, Cheryl would have won an Oscar for the bytch stare she gave the aching opponent at the bell.

Round 9:
It's mind-blowing to see Kristen choking on some tears here in the ninth but she's been battered into a standstill during a frantic opening minute. She bounced off Cole's forehead with the initial swing but the got nailed with a nasty counter strike on the nose and dropped her guard dead. Subsequently, the hooking series turned her face into a right old mess and Cheryl is taking no prisoners here as she bashes Kristen's face into a bloody nightmare! Ugh! Forget about the defense, any kind of a defense as Stewart's arms drop by her waist and Cole's black mitts are basically red now as she rearranges the bleached blonde's face so violently the prime-time actress simply gives up the ghost just past the one minute mark... STEWART SLIDES DOWN ON HER KNEES and her eyes bawl out to the orbit, she jack-knifes to her left side and she's pretty much outta here! Brutal KO9 Cheryl Cole in Comeback Of The Year Fashion!!!

AFTER: Kristen remains motionless on the canvas and the medics are quick to arrive on the scene which prevents the otherwise very aggressive Geordie singer from adding more insult to injury. The fight itself was vicious enough to make the front page headlines but LCA coach Schiffer is wise to drag a visibly pumped brunette back to her corner. "Stupid bytch! She deserved it all and more!", Cheryl frantically waves her gloves in front of the camera but is then escorted back to the locker room by coach Schiffer who is well aware the PPV is the last place when a flyweight title contender should lose her temper on national audience. Especially when you consider that Cole's accent kicked her out of US X Factor few years ago already.

Yes, the FCBA audience has gotten used to Chezza bragging about her performances but a single glance at the Front Street VIP lounge indicates that the proud singer was one sentence away from becoming public enemy #1 up in Philly! And LCA prefers that Lily Collins keeps that honor to herself - for the time being. The relationship between Philadelphia and Bradenton is uneasy enough without Cheryl raising the bets tonight. Still, it was an exceptionally good day at the flyweight office for all ye Lioness fans. The Geordie train just keeps on rollin' but Cole's FCBA plans are put on hold as she prepares to face Jenna Coleman in the BBU Clash of the Titans next month.

Final result: Cheryl Cole def. Kristen Stewart KO9.
