Tatiana: 31 YO, 5’4 (1.63 m), (BBU Debut, Lookout Atlantic Boxing)

Before: If Amber Marshall is nervous at finding herself about to make her debut in a BBU PPV she is doing a nice job of hiding it.
She is smiling and friendly as she meets the press in her trademark jeans, cowboyshirt, and Stetson hat. The 10 years she’s spent starring in the Canadian TV series HEARTLAND seems to have paid off in terms of dealing with press and fans.
"I have toadmit that I wasn’t expecting to be making my debut in a major PPV,” Amber says.
“I have spent my celebrity boxing career fighting in small Canadian venues. If I had one in Toronto or Montreal it was a big deal. Mostly I’ve been fighting in Calgary, Banff and at rodeos. They seem to like me at rodeos. I realize that most people over here have no idea who I am, but I want them to know me as a good boxer who can win fights wherever she is fighting. Tatiana is an amazing actress, but we’ll just have to see what kind of boxer she is. It willbe a test for us both, but I think I can win this kind of test against her.”
Tatiana Maslany of the ORPHAN BLACK series seems relaxed and confident herself: “This may be my BBU debut, but I’ve had some celebrity boxing fights. I will admit I lost, but I expect to be much better in this one. You know, Amy, I’m the one who was born in Calgary, I really am from the Canadian West. You’re from London, Ontario. You just play a Western on TV.”
Amy’s jaw seems to tighten: “I may not have been born there, but I have come to love the West. Watch what you say about me.” “Oh, I always do, fake cowgirl,” Tatiana says with a smirk.
A red flush creeps up Amy’s cheeks: “You are going to be sorry you said that.” "I doubt it,” Tatiana says cheerfully.
“See you in the ring.”Tatiana then saunters away leaving Amy red-faced and scowling.
Press is amused at this intra-Canadian conflict and it does seem to add some interest to what otherwise fight have been an obscure bout on the undercard.
Tatiana comes to the ring in a satiny black bra and knickers, black gloves and bootswith white laces. Her dark hair is pulled back and secured with a white ribbon.
Amber is in faux leather halter top and matching briefs. Dark brown gloves andboots. Her hair in pigtails. Tatiana giving Amber a disdainful look. Amber stern-faced, but otherwise ignores Tatiana.
Referee goes briskly through the ring instructions and though the glove swipe is a loud SMACK, the two fighters are back on their corners lookingeager to go. The bell ring…

R1: Amber wasting no time trying to get at Tatiana, but the brunette’s quick on her feet and good at moving her upper body.
Amber finds her punches not connecting orbeing blunted. Amber starting to look frustrated, but then Tatiana smacks a right to the blonde’s jaw to announces she is on the attack now!
Amber suddenly being backed up and clouted to head with some shots to the stomach mixed in.
Amber then able to show her jab and she is finally able to get some goodleather into Tatiana’s head and face.
Tatiana circling around with Amber following as they both fire away. Bodies coming under attack as they move into the later stages of the round.
Tatiana hitting to the belly and ribs. Amber taking a liking to Tatiana’s bra cups as she pumps steady fire into them.
Movement slows to toe to toe action and both showing determination, but Tatiana rattles Amber with some late chin punches that have the blonde falling back.
Time runs out, but the chin music brings Tatiana a close-fought round to herside of the judges’ cards.
R2: Tatiana aiming her punches at Amber’s head and she making the blonde’s pigtails dances as she swivels her head with alternate rights and lefts.
Amber trying not toback down does manage to protect her head, but then Tatiana sends a barrage ofhooks into the blonde’s body.
Stomach and ribs are lit up again, but Tatianaadds some clearly vengeful shots to Amber’s chest.
Amber finally backing off and employing that decent jab to slow up Tatiana’s attack.
Amber actually doing a nice job lumping up the brunette’s face, but it’s not discouraging Tatiana who maintains a steady pressure to the bell. Tatiana wins this one wide.
R3: Amber showing better movement this round as Tatiana moves quickly to the attack.
Tatiana finding it harder to get in good punches. Then Amber slides in with ahard uppercut right to the chin and a smacking left to the cheekbone. Tatiana looks rocked as she falls back in confusion, Amber in a good pursuit hammers the brunette to the belly, but is especially effective getting overhand shots into Tatiana forehead to ring the brunette’s bell.
Tatiana keeps putting distance between herself and the dogged blonde. Amber has Tatiana looking woozy and rubbery legged at the bell. Amber looking quite pleased with herself as she wins her first round by a wide margin.
R4: Tatiana seems to make a quick recovery during the break as she is quick to engage Amber at the beginning of the round.
They battle it out at mid-ring, circling and punching with determination. Blows are sinking into bodies and making heads bounce with the impacts.
Amber tries to fight her way in close, but gets pushed back by Tatiana’s accurate jab cutting into her face. Tatiana then goes on the attack, but now it is Amber jabs her back, striking Tatiana to the mouth, nose and eyebrows.
Tatiana falls back, circles and then exchanges leather with amber, this time driving hard punches into Tatiana’s breasts.
Tatiana gives it right back to Amber’s chest. They shift to belly punching as time runs out and the referee has to force them apart.
They stand there glaring at each other,chests heaving as sweat drips from their bodies, then Amber and Tatiana turn on their heels and march back to their respective corners.
R5: Amber was off her stool just a little bit quicker than Tatiana and she roared into the brunette with gloves churning.
Tatiana was struck again and again to theside of the head, the jaw and straight up into her nose and mouth. The brunette tried to shake it off and get her defensive jab going once again, but Amber seemed fired up. She was now driving shots into Tatiana’s belly and making her back up all bunched up.
Then Amber darted to the side and fired away at Tatiana’s jaw to swivel her head again and again.
Tatiana was looking desperate as the raging Amber drove her towards the ropes and then, just as Tatiana’s buns hit the strands, Amber ripped an uppercut to the chin that stood Tatiana on her toes.
Amber smashed in a second uppercut and Tatiana just seemed to crumble. She plummeted straight down to end up in a heap at Amber’s feet as the blonde stepped away.
Amber retreated to the neutral corner as the referee moved in.As the count began, Tatiana used the ropes to pull herself to her knees, and try to rise further.
Her face was a blood smeared wreck, but she struggled hard to escape defeat. Just as she had reached her knees, they gave out and she was dropped into a kneeling position. With a hopeless expression, she lolled back against the ropes and listened to herself being counted out.

THE WINNER: AMBER MARSHALL DEFEATED TATIANA MASLANY KO5.

After: Amber Marshall let out a war hoop of delight and wasted little time in having her gloves removed so she could hurry over to the Lookout Atlantic corner.
Tatiana had been given a dose of smelling salts and these seem to have cleared herhead.
“Hey, Tati,we’re not through,” Amber said, “I didn’t like you calling me a ‘fake cowgirl’.”
Tatiana glared at her sullenly through her bruised and swollen face: “This wasn’t enough for you?” “Oh no,”Amber said, “I need to show everyone I am no fake.”
With that Amber grabbed Tatiana by the arm, dragged her out into the ring and before the brunette could react, she had climbed onto her back and seized her battlebraid.
“Giddi-upyou old nag, I’m riding you bare-back!” cried Amber and reached back to encourage Tatiana with a slap on the rump!
With her hair being yanked back and Amber’s strong legs around her waist, Tatiana just started to trot around the ring as Amber gleefully urged her on. The crowd had never seen bare-back “body saddle” punishment and they roared with excitement.
“But this wasn’t supposed to be a body saddle bout!” Tatiana protested as they bounced along.
“I wasn’t sure it would be,” Amber said, “but you were nasty as ever. So I decided to do it. Now stop talking and get trotting!” "You—you—dirty double-Crosser!” Tatiana panted.
“And you are a loser—live with it,” Amber gloated. “My it feels good to say that to you!”
However, Amber’s post-fight activities was not going down at all well with Lookout Atlantic’s other flyweights. As Amber and Tatiana completed the circuit, Emilia Clarke, Gemma Merna and above all BBU Flyweight Champion Jenna Louise Colemans walked into the ring.
Amber had turned her head back towards her own corner to where Juno Temple, Sylvia Meis and Pooja Shah were trying to warn their Foxfire Atlantic sister of the impending interference.
Thus Amber was taken by surpriseas she was yanked off Tatiana then given multiple slaps to the face as she was handed off between Emilia, Gemma and Jenna. (Meanwhile Tatiana had staggeredover to the ropes and clung to them, exhausted by her post-fight ring run).
This, ofcourse, brought Juno, Sylvie and Pooja charging out of the FAB corner.
They slammed into the three LAB flyweights who were so preoccupied with Amber that they failed to detect the rescue party’s approach.
The three interfering LAB flyweights were sent flying backwards where they, unfortunately, crashed into Tatiana and nearly knocked her through the ropes! Jenna, managed to bounce off the ropes and try to tackle Sylvie, but the petite Dutch model got a knee up and impaled the flyweight champion’s crotch.
Jenna fell to her knees with an indignant wail of pain. Gemma and Emilia had been trying to pulling Tatiana back to safety in the ring, so by the time the turned their attention to Jenna, they could see the FAB forces making their escape with the still dazed Amber Marshall in tow.
"YOU WILL PAY FOR THIS!” Jenna managed to cry, still massaging her aching loins.
The sound of defiant laughter could be heard before the Foxfire Atlantic flyweights were gone from view.
The Lookout Atlantic flyweights were left in fuming frustration.
Later LAB managing director Nicole Ritchie used a statement: ‘Foxfire Atlantic will regret this outrageous conduct. We at Lookout Atlantic never forget and there will be a price to pay—a very high one.”
Said FAB managing director Kate Winslet: “If those 3 LAB meddlers had minded their own business they would not have ended up beaten and humiliated. I am proud of my girls for coming to rescue of someone they barely knew. Amber Marshall showed the kind of fighting spirit I like in a fighter. The BBU has not seen the last of her, I assure you.”
The post-fight uproar should not cause BBU fans to overlook what was actually a quite exciting back and forth bout between two newcomers to the BBU world.
Perhaps Amber Marshall was trying to do that “extra bit” to attract notice given her lack on “name recognition” and it did seem to carry her to victory.
Tatiana Maslany might want to re-think insulting an unknown opponent before afight.
As she found out, it can lead to unpleasant surprises, even though Tatiana did show some good skills in the course of the fight, Amber seemed the better motivated fighter this time out.
What happens for Amber and Tatiana should be most interesting for BBU flyweight followers.
