OFFICIAL FCBA "NEW YEAR, NEW FACES" PPV

(Written by Girls Friday/Results by Lookout!)

(Girls Friday vs Pretty Little Punchers)

Intro:
Elizabeth Henstridge and Lucy Hale look to do battle with eyes on getting to a title shot sometime this year, it's a future contender against a former champion tonight. Elizabeth is 30 years old, stands 5'4 and holds a record of 16 wins,

all by knockout and only 2 defeats, she is currently on a 12 fight win streak. Lucy is 28 years old, stands 5'2 and holds a record of 27 wins, 26 by knockout and 25 defeats, she is a former FCBA flyweight champion.

Both women were interviewed at their gyms, with Elizabeth her normal friendly self, admitting "gosh, I honestly still can't wrap my head around last year, I beat everyone put in front of me, whether it be BBU or FCBA talents and I still pinch myself because this surely is a
dream"

Smiling warmly, she adds "Lucy is going to be another big step for me,
she is a former champion and she has shown great heart to have had the
rotten luck she had to start her career and yet she is truly one of
the best in this division, something I want to earn"
She answers about her plans for the year "well to win a title, either
the BBU or FCBA title or maybe both, though I am certainly not greedy"
winking to the camera before she cheerfully leaved to go train.
Lucy on the other hand states "this year is one I plan to make a big
statement in, I have let myself down with my results lately, that will
all change and the title will be wrapped around these abs soon enough"
On Elizabeth, she says "on my opponent for the PPV, she is a friendly
enough girl but she must have this secret dark side right? I mean she
is on such a run and that isn't something you do by playing nice"
Chuckling a little before she gets serious to finish her statement
"all I know is, while I like Liz; she is going to be my first
statement, so keep watch my fellow flyweights, I'm going to remind you
who I am!"
Fight night, out comes Elizabeth first; she has Lauren Berlingeri and
Eva Carneiro by her side, she is wearing tonight a black sports bra,
trunks with a white "Shield" badge on, black gloves with white thumbs
and black shoes, her hair is up in a ponytail.
Jogging to the ring; she is her happy self as usual, waving to the
fans and hugging some young girls in the front row who've come out to
see her.
Getting into the ring; Elizabeth bows to each side of the ring to the
crowd, then heads to her corner to warm up knowing this is going to be
tough for her.
Now out comes Lucy with Nia Peeples by her side, she is wearing a red
sports bra with gold trim, red trunks with a gold waistband and gold
strips down the sides, red gloves with gold thumbs and red shoes with
gold laces, her hair is also in a ponytail.
Heading to the ring, she looks relaxed as she smiles on her way to the
ring, shadow boxing to warm up as Nia tells her "keep your eyes on the
prize baby"
Stepping into the ring, Lucy gives the crowd a wave as the fighters
nod to each other to show each other respect as they know how
dangerous the other is.
Brought to the ring centre; the fighters limber up as the instructions
are being read out, with Lucy asking Elizabeth "ready for this?" And
the Brit replying "sure, are you?" With Lucy nodding.
Both look excited as they touch gloves and jog back to their corners,
the referee nods for the bell to ring to start 10 rounds of flyweight
action.

Round 1:
Out come the fighters up on their toes; Elizabeth starts off strong
with her jab keeping the smaller Lucy back early, with Liz taking the
ring centre and forcing Lucy around the outside.
But Lucy parries a straight and steps inside to force the first full
blooded exchange between them, both slamming punches to the others
bodies and faces as they try to control the action.
Elizabeth nudges Lucy back to open up space, she misses with a right
cross as Lucy dips down and comes back up with an overhand right to
turn her head.
With Lucy starting to back Elizabeth up with a flurry to the body to
knock some air from the Brit and shove her onto her heels.
Elizabeth though nudges her back with her left to open up space,
taking a moment to reset as Lucy flicks her own jab to keep Henstridge
going backwards.
The older fighter though catches Hale with a left cross as she comes
in and Elizabeth then starts to push Lucy back the other way.
Till Lucy shows off her impressive footwork to get out the way of
trouble, then as seconds tick away in the round; the fighters go toe
to toe to try and win the round.
The bell rings to end the round with both fighters nodding at each
other, Lucy looking the better early on with her aggression, but
Elizabeth didn't look overawed.
Round 2:
Elizabeth this time looks to box more off the back foot, with Lucy
keeping her guard tight and taking most of the punches on her gloves.
Lucy looks to slip inside, landing a jab to the body of Henstridge,
but takes a right across the top of her head to keep her from rushing
in.
The fight starts to look cagey as the fighters trade single punches,
with Lucy circling Elizabeth on the outside, picking her moment to
strike.
It's Elizabeth though who strikes first, feinting with a jab and
slinging a right cross around the guard of Lucy to open her up to a
double jab that knocks her head back.
Elizabeth starts to back Lucy up with her punches keeping the smaller
fighter behind her guard, Lucy retreating to look to reset, finding
Elizabeth sticking to her though.
Several punches do dig into the top of Lucy's head, Lucy though ducks
under a right cross and comes on the attack with a body bashing drill.
Now it's Elizabeth being shoved back by the aggressive Lucy, with
Henstridge needing to shove the American back to get her off her.
Again with seconds to go; the fighters go toe to toe to a loud roar
from the fans, ripping in body shots and slamming up top till the bell
rings to end the round.
This time they bump a glove as they pass each other to head to their
corners, showing the deep respect between them, soon though the
respect will go for trying to finish this with no mercy.
Round 3:
Both fighters circling with Elizabeth again starting off strongly as
Lucy is bobbing and weaving to try to sneak inside the reach of the
bigger girl.
Problem is that Elizabeth is keeping her back with stiff straight
punches slamming over Hale's guard to knock her head back.
The Brit looking to drive Lucy back towards the ropes, she misses with
a straight though as Lucy slips inside with a left under the rib of
Elizabeth to make her groan.
Lucy gets her head down and works hard to drive Elizabeth back across
the ring onto the ropes, Elizabeth covering up as Lucy hammers away at
her.
The crowd getting behind Lucy as she slams short sharp punches into
each side of Henstridge's body, Elizabeth needing to clinch up to
force the referee to step in to separate them.
Once apart; Elizabeth manages to land a few punches to the face of
Lucy, things turn around though as Lucy digs a jab to the chin of
Elizabeth and lands a right hook to push her onto her back foot.
Lucy powering forwards to shove Elizabeth towards the ropes; again
keeping Liz struck behind her guard as the round comes to an end.
The Pretty Little Punchers look to be bouncing after that strong
round, patting Lucy on her back as she sits down to get washed down as
she gleams with sweat.
While Elizabeth looks a little down beat, but keeps her head high as
she is still confident she can win this after the success she has had,
banging her gloves together as she stands up ready for the next round.
Round 4:
Lucy applies pressure straight from the bell onto Elizabeth, getting
right into her face and forcing the bigger girl to trade at midrange
as she pushes Elizabeth onto the back foot.
But she misses a straight and gets caught with a right cross to the
top of her head, with Elizabeth adding a a left across the face of
Hale.
Who retreats and fires back with a double jab to create space and to
reset herself, Elizabeth though slams a jab over her guard to her
nose, followed by a right hook that allows her now to drive Lucy back
onto her heels.
Now it's Elizabeth forcing the action as she pins Lucy behind her
guard with stiff jabs, before throwing a hard right under the ribs of
Lucy to make her groan out.
Lucy though shows her toughness, parrying a straight and stepping back
inside, with the fighters throwing caution to the wind, going toe to
toe in tight as they touch heads.
Elizabeth nudges Lucy back with her left forearm and cracks her across
her face with a hard right that thuds into her cheek and allows her to
start driving Hale onto the ropes.
The Brit finishing the round strong as Lucy is now struck behind her
guard, being worked to the body as Elizabeth looks to open her up for
head shots.
The round ends with Elizabeth looking happy with her work, her coach
Lauren smiling at her as Eva cleans her down, but they know this isn't
over by a long shot unless Elizabeth gets lucky.
While Nia wipes down Lucy and tells her not to get worked up, Lucy
shakes her arms to keep them loose, wanting this win so badly to show
the world she is still the best.
Round 5:
Both fighters come out trading single punches over the others guard,
up on their toes as they look for a better angle to strike from.
Lucy gets her right parried and takes a straight to her nose, another
right catches her across her cheek to knock her back a step.
The bigger fighter starts to press Lucy back with more punches
starting to land more cleanly through the guard of Hale.
Who retreats and ducks under a right hook to move into space, before
Lucy lunges in with a right that digs into the cheek of Liz, leading
to another fiery exchange.
Sweat flies off both fighters bodies as they slug it out, before
Elizabeth nudges Lucy back with her right forearm this time in the
chest of Hale.
A left cross soon follows across the lips of Lucy to make her cry out,
some blood trickles from the lips of the American, who covers up as
Elizabeth comes thundering forwards with head hunting punches.
It leads to Lucy being knocked towards the ropes, but back she goes at
Elizabeth, Lucy not wanting to be pushed around as the fighters brawl
near the ropes.
Lucy ducks under a left cross late in the round and comes up with an
overhand left and a right cross that knocks Henstridge backwards.
The bell rings before Lucy can do much more, wiping the blood from her
lips just seems to make her more determined.
While Elizabeth shakes her head, maybe becoming a little frustrated
that she can't seem to get Lucy on the ropes long enough to finish
her, Lauren tells her to be patient and look to finish this when the
chance opens up.
Round 6:
Both fighters start off in tight, Lucy looking to force the action
from the bell, with Elizabeth happy to trade with her.
It's Elizabeth who seems to win the exchange with a right clipping the
temple of Lucy, looking to stun her enough to slam two more punches
into her lips to make Hale cry out.
Lucy finds herself being driven back towards the ropes as several
punches knock her head back as he guard seems to be loosening up.
But she ducks under a right hook and comes up with an uppercut that
snaps Elizabeth's head, making the Girls Friday fighter stumble
backwards.
Elizabeth gets her guard up, but Lucy throws a barrage that snaps off
the gloves of the bigger girl, so swaps targets to work the body.
Finding herself on the ropes; Elizabeth looks hurt as she winces while
her body takes the brunt of the attack, with Lucy looking merciless.
Desperately Elizabeth clinches up; Lucy looking a little annoyed to
say the least, but she takes a deep breath to calm down as the referee
breaks them up.
Lucy gets caught by a straight as she tried to rush in, but she slips
under a follow up left to land an overhand right that knocks
Henstridge towards the corner.
The round ends with Elizabeth leaning against the turnbuckles, trying
to shake the cobwebs from her head as Lucy stands with a look that
says "you're mine" before she heads to her corner.
Elizabeth slumps onto her stool; looking a shell of the woman who
walked to the ring before the fight, Lauren trying her best to get her
ready for the next round.
Round 7:
Elizabeth makes it out with a more defensive look to her, while Lucy
stalks her around the ring, wisely Lucy is clearly thinking about the
famous saying "a wounded animal is when it's most dangerous"
But it's giving Elizabeth time to recover and Nia in Lucy's corner is
urging her on before this becomes a wasted opportunity.
Lucy takes the hint as she ducks a straight out the guard of Elizabeth
and slams three punches into the abs of the Brit to make her groan
out.
A right to the chin of Elizabeth leaves her open FOR A BIG LEFT HOOK
THAT ROCKS ELIZABETH AND THE FOLLOW UP RIGHT PUTS HER DOWN!
Lucy flexes her arms as she heads to a neutral corner and the count
begins 1....2....3....4.. Elizabeth can be heard groaning as she lays
with her eyes shut 5...6...7... Elizabeth seems to admit defeat as the
gumshield is spat out 8...9...10 and she is done!

Winner Lucy Hale KO Round 7

After:
Lucy raises her fists and does a lap inside the ring to a loud roar
from her fans, she certainly made a statement tonight with this result
by stopping the streak Elizabeth was on.
Elizabeth herself is being checked on by the ringside doctor, she is
helped to sit up and looks upset with herself, apologizing to Lauren
for ruining the success they were having.
Lauren herself kneels down and tells her fighter "don't say sorry; you
were great tonight but ran into a better fighter, we all have nights
like this and it's time to start another run of results OK!"
Which gets a nod from Elizabeth; whose helped to stand, with Lucy
coming to check on her and saying "thank you for a great fight, I'll
give you another go someday" getting a smile out of the beaten
fighter.
With Elizabeth replying "I'll take you up on that, but for now promise
me to go on a run to the title OK?" Which of course gets an
enthusiastic nod from Lucy.
The Girls Friday team deem it's best for Elizabeth to go get more
tests done by the doctors backstage, but as they head up the ramp and
Elizabeth sees her young fans crying, she stops to tell them "I
promise to win for you guys next time, so save the days for when I win
a title"
Winking at her supporters seems to stop the tears, though Elizabeth
feels like she could shed some herself right now, she'll save them for
later in private she thinks after this defeat.
While Lucy bows to the crowd and promises them bigger success this
year as she shouts "this is just the beginning guys!" Before mimicking
the title being around her waist with her hands to show clearly where
her mindset is right now.
She steps out the ring to hugs from her stablemates, who rushed out
the back to show their solidarity and there all round love for little
Lucy.
Before they all head to the back to discuss life and other matters
most likely how they can pester the Wannabes knowing this group of
stunners!
