Intro: A big time lightweight bout between two women who were after the title this month but now have to settle for fighting for dominance tonight as Jennifer Lawrence fights Miranda Kerr. Jennifer is 27 years old, she stands 5'8 and holds an impressive record too of 25 wins, 22 by knockout and 15 defeats with 1 draw. Miranda is 34 years old; she stands 5'9, she holds a record of 26 wins, 24 by knockout and only 3 defeats in her career so far.
The fighters stepped onto the stage for the press conference, both stepped up to each other; going nose to nose with hands on their hips as the crowd of journalists looked over them and got more excited about this fight. Separating and heading to their tables, a smile crossed both fighters faces as they sat down to begin talking, Miranda is the first to speak "I have to admit, losing to Kendall hurt but I will do as I always have and overcome that defeat" Adding "I also have to say I respect Jennifer, to win awards in her field is truly amazing, that doesn't mean I don't plan on kicking her ass of course" grinning wider at that part. Jennifer quickly replies "we'll see bytch" as Miranda stares over at her and shakes her head, before saying "don't worry, you will" and shows Jennifer her right fist in a warning. Jen saying "I can't say much negative about her, but if she honestly believes that she is going to put me down, well I've proven that I'm tougher then the average fighter and now I can remind people of that by beating Kerr" She changes the topic with "I also know that people will ask about Taylor Swift, yes I am sick that I couldn't stop her, I should be in that title fight, I'll get that rematch off Swift soon" The girls get up and give each other one last glare, before heading off the stage to prepare for the fight the next day. Fight night; out comes Jennifer with Ronda Rousey and "nurse" Sunny McKay, she is bouncing on her toes on top of the ramp wearing a baby blue sports bra, trunks with a white waistband, blue gloves and shoes, her blonde hair is up in a ponytail. She jogs to the ring with a big smile on her face, looking excited to get back in the ring and show the world what she can do once more. Stepping into the ring, she bumps fists with Ronda and turns to the crowd to roar "let's f***ing do this!" As she waves Miranda to come on. As if on cue; out comes Miranda with her coach Nikki Visser, she is wearing a pink sports bra, matching trunks, gloves and shoes, her brunette hair is braided. Heading to the ring, she struts like she is on the catwalk, but she has a warm smile to the fans as she is looking to get back on a win streak. Stepping into the ring; she nods over to Jennifer, before climbing her corners bottom rope and waves to the fans who cheer her loudly. Both are soon brought to the ring centre, the fighters trying to limber up as they look each other up and down, before touching gloves and head back to their corners. As soon as they get back; they look raring to go as they have their guards raised and the referee signals for the bell to begin 10 rounds of lightweight action.
Round 1: Out comes the fighters, Miranda looking to box on the outside it seems as she is moving side to side early, both measuring each other up early with jabs. Miranda showing some silky boxing skills early on, digging a jab into the abs of Jennifer before moving her head out the way of a right cross and stepping back in to land two cross punches of her own. Jennifer seems to be still trying to wire up Miranda, whose sticking on the outside, making the younger fighter come to her and then counters her when Jen tries to land a punch. It leads to the Chimera camp shouting at Jennifer to close the distance more, with a bit of head movement to dodge some of Kerr's punches, she finally does and it leads to the first brutal inside exchange between them. The crowd roaring both fighters on as they let their fists do the talking, not much defence here as Jennifer backs Miranda up with her raw power that's battered many a talent before. But Miranda surprises Jennifer with a shove to her face more then a jab, the actress tries to get her guard up as a right hook cracks her across her face. That gives Miranda a chance to bash Jennifer back towards the ropes with vicious strikes to her head, with the bell stopping her pushing J-Law all the way. With the round over; both head to their corners, the Downunder stable looking much more happier with their woman then Stephanie does in the crowd after a difficult round for the Hollywood star. Round 2: Out come the fighters to the ring centre, once more Miranda sticks to the outside, finding gaps in Lawrence's guard to exploit, like snapping jabs off her abs and then firing a right up top when that guard opens up. But Jennifer has seemed to taken on board her coaches tactics this time, leading her to look for ways to cut the ring off with her footwork. Soon she gets a chance as Miranda dances around near a corner and Jennifer spikes her on the nose with a straight and then bullies her back into the corner with a flurry of five body shots to make Miranda gasp. The Model clinches up to force the referee to step in, frustrating Jennifer as she finally got the position she wanted to be in. Instead she has to let Miranda get back into space to work from, this time though Jennifer won't let her get far, both snapping single punches to the others face. Jennifer parries a jab and steps in with a left cross to the face, following that with a straight that knocks Miranda's head back. Miranda now covering up and stepping back, with Jennifer powering forwards with punches raining off that guard to herd Kerr onto the back foot. Late in the round, Jennifer lands two hard body shots; she gets nudged back though by Miranda and clipped across her nose with a right to make her groan. The bell rings with Jen rubbing her nose but looking happy with herself for a strong round, Stephanie can be seen standing up in the VIP box cheering as now the Downunder girls look less excited. Both fighters just happy to sit down and get cleaned up, listening to their coaches, in Jens case she has Sunny washing her down with a sponge and getting told off by Ronda for focusing too much on the jugs of Lawrence. Round 3: This time the round starts off more closer, both landing at midrange range as Jennifer gets out her corner quicker then the first two rounds to square up with her opponent. A right to the abs of Jen opens up Miranda ironically as Jennifer lands a right cross up top, followed by a stiff double jab right onto her nose to back her up. Jennifer again uses her raw power and aggression to back Miranda around the ring behind her guard, Jen targeting the body; knowing Miranda went longer in her last fight only a fortnite ago compared to herself, hoping to wear out the Aussie with these shots. Miranda though fires back with a straight onto the nose of her to stop her for a moment, enough to get back into space and work around Jennifer. Who looks a little annoyed that she let her prey off the hook, no matter as she comes back on the attack, both working again with single punches raining at each others faces. Miranda steps out the way of a left cross and she counters with an uppercut that pushes Jennifer back a step and allows her to drive Lawrence back to the ropes with seconds remaining in the round. As the round ends, the girls separate and head to their corners, Jennifer looking slightly annoyed at herself, she keeps letting Miranda escape into space to work in. Her opponent looks to be her usual cool self, chatting away to Nikki as she gets worked on, the crowd starting to chant both fighters names as they await more action. Round 4: Miranda this time starts off quicker; letting Jennifer come at her and countering the youngster with good head movement and straights. Several punches digging into the nose of Jennifer to cause blood to start to trickle, she covers up a bit more but that let's Kerr come onto the front foot. Now it's Miranda whose powering forwards with punches digging into the body of Jennifer, some sneaking into her jugs as she forces the youngster onto her heels. Jennifer shoves Miranda back, then steps inside to bang away with her opponent, the girls going head to head as they work the bodies. Again though it's Miranda who takes advantage of the action by stepping back and landing a hard right across the nose of Jen to make her cry out and retreat back. Miranda doesn't rush in; instead pinning Jen behind her guard with long range punches, before switching it up by stepping in to attempt to land an uppercut that Jen just about deflects. A left cross though flies over the top to land on Jennifer's head to turn her head, looking to drive her onto the ropes as she head hunts with her next two punches. The bell soon rings before she can do much more, with Jennifer wiping the blood from her nose and stepping to her corner. While Miranda bangs her gloves together, Nikki nodding at her and says "great babe, keep this up and Jennifer will be down at your knees" Round 5: Both rush out their corners this time, Jennifer looking to pay Miranda back as she looks to get inside her reach, she gets caught though several times through her guard as she misses with her punches. She manages to find a way through by deflecting a left jab and steps inside to bang away at the undersides of Kerr's jugs to upset her. Miranda losing a bit of her calm, leading to the fighters going toe to toe, with the crowd roaring them on, sweating off the fighters as they bomb away. It's Jennifer who wins the exchange by bumping into Miranda to push her back and slams a right across her cheek to force her back. Now Miranda covers up as Jennifer bullies her onto the ropes, forcing groans from the older fighters lips as she works the body. Miranda fires back up top as the fighters start slugging it out once again, this time Miranda wins the exchange as she catches her opponent across her chin to make her stumble back a step. The fighters separate for a moment, maybe both feeling the effects of fighting two tough fights, they suck it up to get stuck back in. The fighters work at mid distance as they trade, hoping to find the big power punch to take control of matters, both nearly clash heads as they go for hooks. Late in the round, Jennifer lands a stiff straight that bursts Miranda's nose open, a cut opens up and it looks like J-Law is going to take advantage. But she takes a left hook across her face that slows her charge down and both get bogged down brawling in tight till the bell rings to end the round. Sitting on their stools, both sets of corner crews working hard to clean their fighters up, ice packs being used to numb the soreness they are feeling. Both corners know that the fight is very close and with the second half of the scheduled rounds to come, the fighters may need to find an answer to end this before it drags on too long. Round 6: Back out they come with Jennifer trying to get at Miranda straight away, forcing the Australian to fight off the back foot as Jen looks to cut the ring off. A right catches Miranda on her nose to open her up, Jennifer bullrushes forwards to dig away to the body, making Miranda groan and grimace. Miranda needing to nudge Jennifer back as her back touches the ropes, both trading up top as Jen looks to knock her opponent back onto the ropes and of course Kerr wants to escape into space. A right cross looks to have put Miranda back, as Jennifer steps forwards though; she is caught by an uppercut that rocks her head back. Those uppercuts tonight have really troubled Jennifer and she looks stunned as Miranda smacks her across the face and to her bloody nose. Jennifer covering up as she is driven across the ring, her back touching the ropes as Miranda opens up both barrels on her. Miranda working the body; trying to open up J-Law so she can end this, but she gets clinched up by Lawrence, who is looking hurt as a few tears form on her eyes. Both are separated by the referee; Miranda quickly strikes with a straight off the nose of Jennifer, who howls out and finds herself being forced towards a corner. Jennifer finding herself being beaten onto the ropes, with the bell saving her from further punishment as she leans on the ropes till the referee reminds her to get back to her corner. While Miranda watches this with Nikki, a small smile crosses her lips as she knows that she has her right where she wants her. While Stephanie McMahon must be pulling her hair out, this could be a massive win for Jennifer, but she is leaning against her corner as she sits down with her face being washed and Sunny working on reducing the swelling around her left eye, which took a beating that last assault. Round 7: Jennifer comes out but she does look a little shaky, Miranda on the other hand is right at her with stiff shots smacking her through her guard to rock Lawrence back. A right cross knocks Jennifer towards the ropes, BEFORE A RIGHT HOOK TURNS JENNIFER'S FACE, HER GUMSHIELD FLIES OUT HER MOUTH AND SHE FALLS LIKE A SACK OF POTATOES TO THE CANVAS! The crowd all stand and cheer, so loudly that they almost miss that the referee is waving the fight off due to Jennifer being knocked clean out!
Winner Miranda Kerr KO Round 7
After: A massive win for Miranda; who roars at Jennifer and flexes her arms as all her frustration and pain she felt this month has been released. Nikki rushes out to hug her, while the ringside doctor checks on Jennifer, who after getting smelling salts under her nose wakes up finding that she has been left a drooling mess on the canvas for a second time this month! Miranda does go over to check she'll be OK, but Ronda gives her a thousand yard stare she has given plenty of women in the octagon. Something that makes Miranda back off, while Sunny seems more interested in giving Jennifer mouth to mouth, with Jen weakly pushing her off and saying "get off me you sloppy sod" The doctor asks for a stretcher as Jennifer is too dazed to walk and he wants to run more tests, making Ronda's scowl become more intense. With the former UFC champion heard to say "Jen will not be knocked out next time she gets in here, even if I have to kick her ass personally to get her into better shape" which makes Sunny gulp loudly. On the other side of the ring; Nikki tells Miranda "don't worry about them, she will be OK and you are going to use this to get back into the title hunt OK!" Which gets a smile and nod from Miranda. Miranda waving to the fans after getting her gloves taken off, she adds a few kisses to them as a thank you for their support. Soon she leaves the ring, telling Nikki "I think we both deserve a drink after this months hard work" with the girls chuckling as they head to the locker room. This might be the start of another great run for Miranda like she saw last year, one that saw her win awards; the FCBA lightweight title is the thing she wants though beyond a doubt. While Jennifer is heading the wrong way right now, a lot of pundits believe that she has a good team behind her to right this, but if she wants the title; she'll need to right it soon.
