EMILIA CLARKE VS LUCY HALE

Results: Lookout Writing: Archer

Emilia: 29 YO, 5’2 (1.57m), FCBA: 4-3-0 (3 KO) since 2012, Lookout Atlantic Boxing

Lucy: 28 YO, 5’2 (1.57 m), FCBA: 23-20-0 (22 KO) since 2010, Pretty Little Punchers

Before: “Lucy is going to be my difficult opponent to date in the FCBA,” says Emilia Clarke. “I have enjoyed some success this side of the Atlantic, but in this fight I am taking on a former FCBA Flyweight Champion. I am definitely the ‘under-dragon’ in this bout.” (Laughter from the press at Emilia’s reference to her ‘Mother of Dragons’ GAME OF THRONE characters. Lucy Hale smiling as well).

“I have to thank the training staff and members of Lookout Boxing. They have made me feel very much at home during this visit. I do hope some of them can come to over the UK. I know they have many fans who would love to see them fight in person. And that goes for you and your stable sisters Lucy.”

When her turn at the podium comes, a smiling Lucy Hale says: “Thank you for the invitation Emilia. When I first started in celebrity boxing, some of my friends and myself did a tour of the BBU. That was before your time, even before there was a formal Pretty Little Punchers, and we had a great time. I was 2-3-0, but I have come a long way since then. I hope that you can carry word of just how I got I have become back to the UK. It would be very exciting to take on whoever are the top BBU flyweights now.”

“You do the fighting Lucy, I’ll do the reporting—I trust you will make it worth reporting,” Emilia said with a sly smile.

“Oh, I intend to make this really interesting for you,” Lucy said with a hint of mystery. “And—if I am the ‘Favored Dragon’—I am flattered, but I also think I’ve earned that. I think this is going to be a very good fight. I hope everyone will get their moneys worth.”

“I second that,” said Emilia.

The lack of conflict may seem boring to some, but there are still those who want to see boxing not a catfight with gloves. This fight shapes to be one. Special Guest Emilia Clarke comes to the ring. She’s wearing a black one piece with a red and gold dragon across the front. Red boots and gloves with black laces. Emilia’s natural brunette pulled back in a ponytail. Then Lucy Hale comes out, she’s in a sunny yellow bikini with yellow gloves and boots (white laces), bobbed hair loose, but wetted down. Brisk ring instructions, tap of the gloves and the fighters are back in their corners. The bell sounds…

R1: Lucy wasting little time in crossing the ring to put her gloves into Emilia as she hooks to the body and swings quick rights and lefts at her opponents head. Emilia crouching, trying to duck the incoming while deploying the jab to Lucy’s torso. Lucy not letting the jab discourage as she presses in with a steady hooking to the belly mixed with unexpected uppercuts to Emilia’s chest and chin. Emilia backing up under pressure, still using the jab, but it’s just not discouraging Lucy’s steady advance. Late in the round, Lucy able to get some quick lefts and rights to bounce off Emilia’s head and disrupt her defenses. Couple of nice uppercuts to lift Clarke’s chin at the end as Lucy Hale comes away with a wide win on this opening round.

R2: Emilia seems much better prepared as Lucy comes right back at her as the new round opens. She’s smacking that jab right into Lucy’s face, catching her between the eyes, the forehead and finally Lucy’s jaw gets lumped up by Emilia’s counter strikes. Lucy now the one backing up under pressure and Emilia finds a fresh target as she smites Lucy’s tummy with hard, relentless hooking. Lucy up on her toes with gurgling groans from these belly bangers. Lucy falling back, trying to evade the dogged Emilia, but the best she can do is steer clear of the ropes. Rounds ends as Emilia Clarke answers Lucy Hale’s successful first round with a solid win in the second.

R3: Lucy not willing to give up her pressure attack comes back in and runs straight into a fierce counterpunching barrage from Emilia. Two seem to take turns knocking each other back on their heels with hard blows to the body. Then Emilia get an overhand right hard into Lucy’s forward that sends a shock wave through petite body her upraised gloves sag. Lightning strike to the chin from Emilia lifting Lucy’s head back with the right uppie and then a smacking left to follow up. LUCY HALE SPINS AROUND AND TAKES A SEAT ON THE CANVAS. Lucy just sitting there with a look of stunned astonishment on her face as she looks up at a grimly Emilia before Emilia turns to the neutral corner. Lucy wisely taking an 8 count to clear her spinning head before she rises. Lucy loses her taste for the attack as Emilia closes back in, but she’s got a good defensive jab and manages to keep Emilia at bay to the bell. However that knockdown assures Emilia of another round won by a wide margin. Even better she’s got Lucy looking at her with an expression of either respect or intimidation. In any case, Emilia’s made an impression on the young ex-champion.

R4: Emilia Clarke on the attack, Lucy Hale on the defensive as the latest round gets going. Emilia working to back Lucy up into the ropes, alternates her rapid-fire attacks to head and body. Lucy working hard to counter with her jab and try to avoid being pushed back. Emilia making progress as Lucy drops back one stubborn foot at a time. Lucy going back, but she’s making Emilia pay a painful price in a increasingly lumped face and aching body. Just about the time Lucy is about to reach the ropes, she swats Emilia on the side of the head, catching her by surprise and Lucy slips passed her. Vexed Emilia is back where she started from at mid ring trying to force Lucy back. She knocks Lucy’s head around and digs those hooks to the body, but Lucy continuing to fight back. At the bell, Emilia pulls out the round, but Lucy’s resistance has made it a close win.

R5: Lucy and Emilia now into an intense battle at close range as they battle for control of the fight. Lucy with a furious opening barrage to Emilia’s breasts and midsection. Emilia meeting this with a body barrage of her own. Lucy’s breasts and belly getting tenderized under Emilia’s leather storm, but she is gritting her mouthpiece and giving it right back to the Brit battler. Emilia hanging in, striking back, but she’s got a nasty hairline cut that is dripping a trail of crimson down her swollen and sweaty face. Round ends with Lucy winning a close one, but Emilia now looking suddenly weary as she heads for her corner in a slow trudge.

R6: Lucy seems to be sensing she’s weakened Emilia and she goes on the attack as this round opens. Quick punching to knock Emilia’s face back and add to swollen, bruised flesh. Emilia gets her gloves up and Lucy quick hammer Emilia’s bust and then down to sink hard hooks into her belly. Emilia trying to jab back, but they are not slowing the Hale attack down and she is forced to give more and more ground. Suddenly, Lucy shifts ground so she can bang Emilia to the head and the next thing the dazed Brit knows, she’s been punched to the ropes. Emilia goes in face in gloves as she huddles against the strands and Lucy pumps away at her side ribs until she’s got Emilia shuddering with each blow as the round ends. Emilia peels herself off the ropes under the gaze of Lucy Hale who seems interested in seeing how much damage she’s done. Referee sends Lucy on her way, but she’s seen enough to wear a smile back to her stool.

R7: Emilia rises from her stool with an achy look and Lucy Hale zips from her corner to add to that ache with more belly pounding. Emilia manages to scramble and escape being trapped in her own corner, but Lucy now using sweeping lefts and rights to the head. Emilia struck again and again to the jaw as she lurches back. Then the accumulated punches seem to catch up with her as her feet become entangled and she sprawls on her side. Lucy stepping back to the neutral corner. Emilia tries to raise herself up, but fails and ends up on her back, right arm shielding her eyes from the overhead lights as she unable to do anything the referee counts her out.

THE WINNER: LUCY HALE KO7

After: Lucy hugged and congratulated by stablemates Danielle Campbell, Janel Parrish, and Ashley Benson. Lucy keeps her eye across the ring and when she sees Emilia being revived in the Lookout corner, she makes her way over.

“Good fight!” Lucy tells Emilia. “You had me worried a couple of times there.”

“Good fight for you, not for me,” Emilia sighs. “You are very good, Lucy Hale, you have my congratulations.”

Lucy leans over and they share a hug. Crowd applauds this sporting gesture and Lucy gies back to rejoin her companions with a happy smile on her face.

Competitive fight early on, but Lucy Hale was able to slowly gain control of the battle and finish Emilia Clarke off in R7. Good win for Lucy. Emilia probably shouldn’t be too disappointed as Lucy was a fairly big jump up in opponent quality for her. She might have more success with fighters ranked closer to her level and work her way up from there. In any case, flyweight fans got a good fight to enjoy without any of those distracting post-fight antics some FCBA observers seem to want.
