BEFORE: A couple of tough losses to Jessica Nigri and Vanessa Hudgens have removed Jessica Lowndes from the immediate flyweight title contention but the popular Canadian simply refuses to follow an easy path to regain the winning formula again. Hayden Panettiere is a notorious elite performer who has elevated herself to the doorstep of Tractorpull's Hall of Fame while still in her 20s! That feat alone makes her a living legend of the flyweight division but unlike her real-life partner Vladimir Klitschko, the petite blonde has no plans to hang up the gloves anytime soon!

This is also a rematch from August 2015 when then-flyweight champion Lowndes knocked out Panettiere in nine rounds in her first official title defense.

Hayden Panettiere wears a white & red vertically striped bikini and black gloves. Long blonde hair tied in a curly ponytail. Jessica Lowndes wears a turquoise bandeau bikini and silver gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a high ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.

Round 1:
Jessica's the natural aggressor in the ring and anyone who watched her tape is well aware of that - Hayden herself included. The blonde prefers to weather the initial blitz in mid-distance and does a great job of avoiding the Canadian's leather during the opening minute but then she gets clipped on the chin as the brunette finally finds her range and rocks the smaller actress with a well-measured hook to the temple. Hayden tries to scramble herself out of danger but loses her footing and allows Lowndes to cash in with more jabs up the middle until she gets backed into the ropes and survives the late onslaught by clinching her foe into a stalemate on the ropes. That wasn't a Hall of Fame performance from the pint-sized American but Erin Andrews is well aware that these Foxfire girls always have a genuine fight plan under their sleeve.

Round 2:
Lowndes jumps into another hectic assault but this time Panettiere responds in a similar manner dropping her defensive attire from the opening round. Both girls tangle in the middle of the ring and after blasting each other to the body there's an accidental clash of heads that could have spelled disaster for either of them but thankfully we have avoided serious cuts for the time being. The MSG crowd urges the blonde to dominate the guest from up north and Hayden responds well to the cheers as she wins the battle of attrition and spikes Jessica's ribcage so violently that the older girl groans in her efforts to tame the onslaught and reverts into throwing punches from the back foot. Hayden's defensive demeanour truly didn't last long and she does look like a future Hall of Famer as she chases the Canadian around the ring during the final minute but just can't lay into her anymore before the bell.

Round 3:
More feisty attacks from Lowndes dominate the opening minute and this looks like a customary script for the rest of the night; Hayden ducks underneath most of them regardless and tries to spike the brunette's midsection again but Lowndes lands a couple of nasty hooks on the top of her forehead and forces her back before blasting a left cross on the chin... Hayden loses her balance and while she stays up, her gloves drop by the wayside and enable Jessica to crack a nasty combo on the nose followed by another quick slant on the chin... and this one rocks the blonde off her comfort zone, she wobbles to the side and can't raise her arms fast enough to cover up for a brutal hook that nails her on the right temple AND SENDS FLYING DOWN ON THE CANVAS!!! "Yaaassss!!! I'm baaaack!!!", Jessica shouts at the fallen opponent addressing her recent performance woes but while Panettiere got nuked into a knockdown reality, she battles back onto her feet at seven and tries to keep a war face alive! "Guess what? I don't care!", she responds to the brunette and vows to immediately get back at her however Lowndes is fully in the groove now and outboxes the brave New Yorker in close range before driving her to the neutral corner where she picks her off through the high guard and leaves visible bruises on the otherwise pretty face come the bell.

Round 4:
The Lioness entourage wants Lowndes to punish the local girl even further as quickly as possible but one doesn't need to tell her that as she rips into another jabbing galore that Panettiere barely fends off in a chaotic opening minute. Jessica goes all-in on the attack and pursuits that haymaker KO delivery but as she leans on the blonde, Hayden barges ahead and clips her jugs before sending one around the elbows and blasting her on the liver area... "You bytch!", Lowndes yelps in pain and shoves the smaller girl back however when she tries to unload another hooking combo, she gets beaten to the punch and Hayden SMOKES her with a clubbing right hook on the nose followed by another stinger on the jugs! Ugh! Jessica can soak up abuse in that particular area but she gets rendered breathless following that first shot and wobbles forward into a nasty uppercut on the jaw that lifts her off the canvas AND SENDS CRASHING FLAT ON HER BACK moments later! Hayden thrives on the comeback ride and the roar around MSG couldn't be any louder right now! Lowndes banged her head against the boards when she went down like skittles and needs an eight count to recover. Both girls eyeball each other with utmost disdain after the command but Hayden's aerial flurry meets the stubborn guard in the final minute and even though Jessica usually struggles on defense, she avoids getting thumped into disarray. Panetierre still cleans out her breadbasket as she reels her onto the ropes before a late clinching stalemate ends the high-octane action.

Rounds 5 & 6:
One knockdown each throws the outcome of this fight wide open but even these two veterans know when to take their foot off the gas pedal. There's little chance of this one being settled through a romping KO finish as Lowndes fumbled away the golden opportunity first and even though Panettiere enjoys the local support here in The Garden, she realizes how dangerous the older actress can be. It seems like both women have agreed to re-charge their batteries for another furious effort later or they simply give each other too much respect now. Still, Hayden cranks it up in the final minute of each round and displays superior agility to keep the Canadian on her toes with an overhand single-hand attack. The previous defeats to Nigri and Hudgens could also play on Jessica's mind especially in wake of that payback knockdown in the fourth. Whatever the case, Erin Andrews reckons someone needs to get on with here fast!

Round 7:
Jessica blinks first and jumps into a familiar jabbing frenzy but she fails to match Hayden's speed and agility across the boards and eats a counterpunching series that stalls her progress come the second minute. She becomes more erratic in her attacks down the stretch and this plays into the blonde's advantage who rides out the looping efforts from the back foot before stunning the brunette with a hooking cross up the middle. Lowndes sags on her heels but still refuses to back off; she then soaks up a quick series on the guts and Panettiere reigns supreme in the dying seconds landing crisp uppercuts on the rack to drop Lowndes into spasms at the bell.

Round 8:
It's obvious Panettiere has more gas in the tank left and the Canadian just doesn't have the stamina required to match the future Hall of Famer tonight. Erin Andrews thinks she really should have secured the win in the fourth and what's worse, Hayden herself knows she's in a better spot right now and easily fends off the sluggish attack in the opening minute before pounding away on the counter afterwards. Lowndes gets backed into the ropes and this time she crumbles under the midsection barrage, Hayden is methodical to the bone, she keeps hustling the brunette's guts into a bruised dismay and connects with her rack time and time again. Jessica just drags her into a stalemate to survive the painful ordeal and looks all out of breath when the clock expires. What a turn of events for the Big Apple crowd! Hayden is on the doorstep of a famous victory as Lowndes' boobs almost spill out to the audience - she finds it so hard to inject air into her lungs and the bandeau bikini top seemingly affects the proccess.

Round 9:
Lowndes has run out of gas completely and she doesn't even try to stalk the American anymore; Hayden pounces on the tired opponent with a hooking drive that splits the brunette's mitts and knocks her head around back & forth amid painful yelps from the subdued girl. The lack of resistance only fuels Panettiere's workload and she batters the hapless Canadian back to the ropes where she switches low and lifts her boobs against the slumping chin before another hook on the nose traps Lowndes sideways in the corner. She tries to swing one back but just doesn't have the pace and the blonde wrenches her on the mouth which immediately triggers the jelly knees mode... Jessica wraps her arms around the ropes in order to remain upright but THE REF HAS SEEN ENOUGH REGARDLESS and jumps in to prevent Hayden from blasting her all the way back to Vancouver next... TKO9 Hayden Panettiere!!!

AFTER: The revenge mission is complete! Hayden shakes her glove in the face of her stricken opponent but Jessica tumbles down on her backside and rests against the ropes with her eyes closed which prompts even a bigger reaction from the Madison Square Garden audience! This was a true Hall of Fame-worthy comeback from the blonde who looked in serious trouble until the fifth round when she turned the tables on the notorious Canadian operator. Lowndes can be blamed for dropping the ball when she had the New Yorker at her mercy in the fourth but she never controlled the action thereafter and the swift knockdown recovery spelled the end of the Lioness challenge.

Erin Andrews wonders whether the bruising schedule has finally caught up with Jessica; she never takes an easy route to success but it has worked very well for her until this point. However with Nigri, Hudgens and now Panettiere all thumping her into defeats this season, one must question what's next for the otherwise elite brunette? Will she switch to a Kristen Stewart-like lukewarm opposition? That's a far cry from the Lioness DNA but could be unavoidable to mount another flyweight/JMD title challenge in the future.
