"The Battle of Ohio"
Brooklyn Decker vs Adrianne Palicki
Hometown: Kettering, OH vs Toledo, OH
(Lioness Club of America vs Sceej Boxing)
(32-11, 21 KO vs 28-21, 23 KO)
Results: Lookout!; Story: Vassago

BEFORE: We are live inside the Quicken Loans Arena in downtown Cleveland where two of the most prolific lightweights ever to come out of the state of Ohio are ready to battle it out in a fight that could easily be billed as Main Event of any given PPV around this country! Let's make no mistake, this fight could have probably headlined the monthly Asylum PPV cards before as well however this option ceased to exist when Decker was sensationally dropped by Front Street back in May. However it didn't stop Sceej's caretaker aka Front Street guru aka The Man In The Hat to follow the (un)official in-house schedule for the sake of pure Ohio joy!

On the other hand Adrianne Palicki could well be labelled as the most underrated lightweight around the league, living in Gena Lee Nolin's shadow for years despite winning the 130 lbs straps on a couple of occasions and then missing the entire 2015 season due to a shoulder injury. Several pundits think that Palicki warrants Hall of Fame status if only the circumstances worked in her favor and she's still one of the tallest non-models around and has full two inches on Decker which makes the betting odds extremely curious to say the very least.

Brooklyn Decker wears a light blue bikini set and silver gloves. Long blonde hair wrapped in a loose bun at the back of her head. Adrianne Palicki wears a red bikini set with white vertical stripes and red gloves. Long dyed blonde hair tied in a sleek ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the lightweight division.

Round 1:
Decker remains undefeated since joining the Lioness crew less than three months ago and confidence is the name of the game inside the opening round as the smaller of the two blondes dominates the action with surgical jabs that slice through Palicki's guard more often than even some of the experts had anticipated. Adrianne is slow to get going and offers limited mobility which reduces her performance into sluggish defensive circles when her initial jabbing combo only finds the guard and makes Decker giggle in a visible sign amusement. Things actually get worse for the Sceej faithful when she gets nailed with a vicious hook on the right eye and drops to her heels in the center of the ring; Decker fails to make the most of that as she remains too committed to the head hunting tactics and gets wrapped in a late clinch instead.

Round 2:
Palicki finally makes use of the superior reach and glances off the top of Decker's forehead before beating the model for a quick hook on the chin. The younger of the two blondes tries to slug herself back into contention but misses the hook on the turn and eats a nasty harpoon on the liver area that allows Adrianne to finds more success in a hurry. She leans on Brooklyn with a proper body assault and wobbles her back to the ropes where she clips the breasts and adds a piercing uppercut on the jaw. That little run forces the Lioness blonde into a hectic defense but Palicki just doesn't let go here and camps inside her opponent's midriff for remainder of the round. While this tactics is somewhat surprising, punishing these models to the body has never lacked success over the years.

Round 3:
More body assault from Palicki keeps Decker on her toes and the fight takes a different turn with the Kettering woman not giggling anymore and showing the fellow former champion the respect she deserves. The early tangle allows Adrianne to whack the younger blonde in the desired area but the head hunting threat remains very much alive if only Brooklyn could find her composure again. However the body-drilling assault remains superior and forces Decker to fight on her rival's terms as she lacks the size and reach to do anything about Palicki's offensive slugging. Both women settle into a mid-range dispute come the final minute but the Sceej blonde emerges from that one on top and smacks Decker with a rare hook across the lips which then makes her wink back to the crowd as she walks towards her corner.

Round 4:
Brooklyn looks a little unsettled during the interval but scampers across the canvas to secure the early connection in the fourth. Adrianne is guilty of not adjusting to the injection of pace and sometimes these lanky models can sell a dummy or two which Palicki stumbles upon here when she gets NAILED with a vicious cross on the nose. She wobbles forward to find another one clubbing her on the right eye and it's all Decker thereafter... the long-time Sports Illustrated model jumps into a hooking route and hauls quick shots up the middle to punish Palicki's jaw in particular; suddenly the Sceej guard crumbles underneath the otherwise elite onslaught and Brooklyn is simply a confidence fighter - virtually unbeaten when bringing the 'A' game to the ring... and she drives the stagnant Adrianne back to the ropes where she switches low and finally delivers a proper body beating in the final thirty odd seconds. Ugh! Palicki gasps for air at the bell and has to soak up a Decker-fanbase dominant cheering from the stands.

Round 5:
Decker moves onto the front (left) leg here with another injection of pace that proves superior to Palicki's reach. It's a question of mili-seconds but it's all it takes to cripple the other woman when the punch brings the venom required. And Brooklyn' got plenty of venom alright while very much in her prime! She roots Adrianne to the spot and makes her wince in pain, a visible swelling develops under the left eye and Mrs. Andy Roddick just tees off from for here to bury the older woman behind a flurry of point-blank range strkes. Palicki gets pummelled back to the ropes on the heels of Brooklyn's punching power alone and bursts into spasms when she gets clubbed on the liver area in another rare but extremely effective change of targets from Decker. Uh-oh! Palicki sags really deep on her heels and has to wrap herself around the fellow blonde but Brooklyn mercilessly keeps pounding away at the body before wrestling her back to the center of the ring... a right-on-right route has only one winner and the gash under Adrianne's left eye grows bigger almost upon impact... the legs almost give way here but the Sceej woman shows incredible resistance to avoid going down - even Decker is surprised to see her survive this piledriver - and the clock eventually comes to the Toledo native's rescue. But that was a huge round for Decker with Palicki being forced into repairs during the interval.

Round 6:
Despite the cutmen's best efforts, Palicki's vision is compromised as we enter the sixth and Decker just rains punches into the wounded area to render the older woman completely staggered at the end of the first minute. Raw power can dominate any other asset if properly used and Adrianne's in a visible survival mode but just unable to find her rhythm in half-hearted swings from the back foot that cause Brooklyn no trouble whatsoever. The SI model briefly pauses to weather the miniscule Toledo storm before connecting with a quick uppercut drive and another hook on the swollen eye. Ugh! Palicki almost cries out her submission right there and then but as her gloves collapse by her jugs, Decker has all the room in the world to deliver one from the turn of the hip... she puts it all behind that one blast and poor Adrianne has no chance to survive it... DOWN GOES THE OLDER BLONDE.... thumped into the point of no return with one of the hardest punches of the entire PPV... it was almost too cruel from Decker but then the pride of the entire state is on the line? Who cares? Palicki hits the boards HARD and the referee has the presence of mind to wave the bout off on the spot! Wicked KO6 Brooklyn Decker!!!

AFTER: The Decker train keeps rolling along and so are the rumours about her eyeing a simultaneous lightweight & welterweight title challenge come next season. It hasn't been officially forbidden by the new commissioner so it's very much open to pursuit according to the LCA front office. But Brooklyn herself refuses to address the issue and reminds anyone that Tahnee Atkinson still needs to be conquered in first place: "It's only a matter of time but I hope you all remember about that little condition?".

First signs of mutual respect between the two Ohio natives occur when Brooklyn offers the battered Sceej vixen a warm hug but simply can't stop staring at the wounded eye that is now covered behind a large ice pack. This will look ugly in the morning and in few days to come! And the hollow look in Adrianne's other eye indicates she'd like to leave the Quicken Loans Arena as soon as possible. It's never a good feeling when you've been officially classified as Ohio's second most impressive lightweight boxer!

Final result: Brooklyn Decker def. Adrianne Palicki KO6.
