Alex Gerrard (Curran) vs Jameela Jamil
Lioness Club vs Beever's Babes
(12-10-1, 10 KO vs 5-2, 5 KO)
Results: BBU; Story: Vassago

BEFORE: These girls haven't graced the ring since winning their first round encounters over 18 months ago so BBU TV's Denise van Outen is concerned both Alex Curran and Jameela Jamil will be hard pressed to get off to a fast start here tonight. However the blonde model dismisses this statement and vows to knock the brunette's head clean off to kickstart her stalled elite career.
Curran was one viewed as Lioness Club's best welterweight prospect but a new generation of talent has taken over the headlines lately and Romee Strijd is heavily tipped to join the London-based stable at the conclusion of her run in the Victoria's Secret War In Heaven tournament over in America. Meanwhile Jamil has been relegated to the basement of the always crowded Beever's Babes roster and tonight's quarter-final serves as the best - if not only - opportunity to elevate her back into contention.
Alex Curran wears a red bikini set and black gloves. Long blonde hair wrapped in a bun at the back of her head.
Jameela Jamil wears a light blue bikini set and white gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a braid. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the welterweight division.

Round 1:
Those Denise van Outen concerns are quickly wiped off as both women jump into a head hunting stalking exchange that immediately raises the noise inside the Cardiff Arena.
Jameela knocks some steam straight up the middle but gets caught by a nasty hooking combo and wobbles on her heels when the blonde nails her with a crisp uppercut on the turn.
Curran barks in her efforts to land her punches and seems motivated a little more than anyone anticipated, she dissects the brunette's guard down the stretch and pummels her back to the ropes where she switches low and drills the exposed breadbasket. Jameela really struggles to mount a late comeback and disappears behind a tight earmuff but concede the opener almost by default.
Round 2:
No love from coach Denise Lewis during the interval but things only get worse for the Beevers when Jameela's hooking approach misses the target early in the going and triggers a quick response from the Merseyside woman. Alex bangs a couple of swift hooks up the middle and knocks Jamil's head back before driving into her guts with another well-measured switch.
Ugh! Jameela's defense just isn't good enough here and she stumbles to her heels upon impact and can only seek respite in a desperate leap to the side. She tries to apply some quick footwork to escape the blonde's leather rush but Curran finds success in the mid-range pursuit regardless and pummels the struggling woman all around the ring which makes coach Lewis even more angry.
A plan "B" is quickly required by the Beevers as Jameela looks downright upset at the bell but that's not gonna help her cause by any means.
Round 3:
A cheeky smile on Curran's face says it all and the proud Merseyside WAG jumps into another pursuit; Jameela does land a couple of quick hooks to open the third but gets outworked in close range come the one minute mark and settles behind another desperate and crowd-annoying earmuff thereafter.
Meanwhile Alex moves onto the front (left) leg and peppers the immobile rival with the rapid jab to further enhance her superior display. Even coach Lewis can't kickstart Jamil's recovery and the Beevers' brunette can only buy herself some time with a blatant clinch as we head into the third minute.
Alex still clobbers her to the body and wrestles butt-in-ropes where she barks into Jameela's ear to show some b#### when the clock expires.
Round 4:
Jameela comes out swinging but it's almost a suicidal attempt to prevent the whitewash, she lands a promising combo straight up the middle but just can't force the blonde backwards and gets swarmed by immediate response which tags her on the temples and wobbles into a defensive position.
Still, she tries to swing one over the top but the Merseyside model is quicker to the punch and SLAMS her on the chin which cripples the Beevers' hopes on the spot.
Another vicious hook finds the nose and JAMIL GOES ALL TIMBER as she spawls down on the canvas in wake of that punch! Ugh! That was downright ugly but Denise van Outen thinks that Alex was simply connecting with too many punches by this stage.
Jameela does well to fend off the looming disaster but still looks shaken and stirred when she gets up at eight.
There are no easy outs in the welterweight title campaign so Alex is required to finish the vulnerable rival off and she duly accepts the challenge by thumping more juice up the middle while the brunette begins to moan out her struggles.
We're barely past half-way mark of the round so the clock won't save the Beevers' pride and coach Lewis is the first one to realize that.
As Jamil gets pounded butt-in-ropes again and bellows out into a classic punchbag mode - in comes the towel which swiftly halts the one-sided beating! TKO4 Alex Curran!!!

AFTER: That was a monster performance from Stevie G.'s model wife and a pure throwback to the old days when Alex was regarded as the top boxing prospect this side of Mersey.
However Denise van Outen suggests that the Romee Strijd rumours have fuelled the blonde's remarkable showing tonight and things will still take a turn south for her going forward.
Meanwhile the Beevers can still take revenge on the blonde model if Jourdan Dunn thwarts Catherine Tyldesley in the second fight of the top bracket of the draw.
The Lioness/Beevers rivalry is almost as tenured as the one both these stables have against the Kear's Kats and there's only minimal mutual respect between coaches Mel B. and Denise Lewis as the exchange words ringside. Admittedly, Jameela isn't exactly the Beevers' top welter prospect anymore and endured a brutal elite verification tonight.

Final result: Alex Curran def. Jameela Jamil TKO4.
