(Lioness Club vs The Sirens)

Intro:
The opening bout of the second round of fights in the "Contender 6" round robin tournament heads to Scotland's SSE Hydro arena, with Heidi Range and Diana Korkunova looking for their first wins in the tournament.
Heidi is 34 years old, she stands 5'2 and holds a record of 15 wins, 13 by knockout and 10 defeats.
While Diana is 21 years old, stands 5'5 and holds her own record of 5 wins, all by knockout and 3 defeats.
As stated both women are looking for their first wins in the tournament, Heidi losing to Jenna Louise Coleman, while Diana lost to Lily Allen.

Which as you'd imagine would be the focus of their statements in the interviews before the fight, with Heidi saying "how lucky was Jenna Louise Coleman? She ran all fight, so Jenna; next time I see you, I'm going to corner you and see how tough you really are"
Changing topics; Heidi says "now though I am focused on winning the rest of my fights in this tournament, I know I can win it and Diana is first on my hit list"
Pointing at the camera filming this, she tells Diana "I have one bit of advice for the kid, don't mess with your superiors, in this case me; because soon you'll find yourself flat out and wondering what hit you bytch"
While Diana is smiling, saying "Lily is something alright, I've never been hit by a mule but I guess that's what people mean by that saying" winking as she giggles.
Getting more serious though as she adds "I have to say though; this tournament means so much to me and for me to loss the first fight feels like a kick in the teeth, I am going to put that right though I promise my fans"
Finishing with "to Heidi; I am going to show you why I won rookie of the year, this is my breakout year and the rest of my opponent's will see so too"

Fight night, out comes Heidi first with Mel B by her side; she is wearing red tonight, her sports bra, trunks, shoes and gloves in the colour of her Merseyside roots, with her blonde hair up in a ponytail.
Pumping her fists in the air on her way to the ring, she looks pumped up as she jogs; Mel B can be heard telling her "you need to make a statement tonight, hammer this little bytch and show the world why you are the best in this tournament!"
Climbing into the ring, Heidi looks to get fully focused as she gets too her corner, shadow boxing to warm up and show off her skills.
Now out comes Diana with Henry Cavill by her side, the bubbly girl is wearing her bubblegum pink style gear tonight, sports bra, trunks, gloves and shoes, while her brunette hair is braided.
Smiling to the crowd as she heads to the ring, she waves to the fans as well who seem to take to her as they cheer her on.
Stepping into the ring; she mounts the bottom rope of her corner and blows kisses to the fans, giving them a quick wink before she turns back towards her opponent with her expression changing almost instantly to an intense one.
Brought to the ring centre; the fighters look each other up and down, seeing what they are up against and trying to spot weaknesses.
Asked to touch gloves, respectfully they bump their together, before jogging to their corners to get ready to start 10 rounds of flyweight action.

Round 1:
Out come the fighters; Diana starting early with her long reach allowing her to drill her punches into the guard of her smaller opponent.
Heidi is the veteran here though, keeping her guard tight to block most of the punches aimed at her, before she slips under a straight punch to work away on the inside.
The fighters trade in tight; with Heidi nearly slamming her head into the chin of Diana as she works her body and drives her back onto her heels.
Diana needs to shove Heidi back to create space, with Heidi looking to get back at her opponent, but getting clipped across the top of her head with a left and right.
The fighters start circling and trading single punches towards the others faces; Diana landing the cleaner punches in these exchanges.
As she tries to land a right hook, missing over the head of the blonde, who lands an overhand right to turn Diana's head to the side.
Heidi forcing Diana onto the ropes with a flurry slamming into the abs of the bigger girl, Diana groaning and gasping before she can cover up.
The bell rings with Heidi jogging back to her corner with a smile on her face, her coach Mel B tells her "I knew she wouldn't be able to stand up to your pounding fists, keep at her and she will wilt"
Meanwhile Diana looks up to the roof and actually chuckles, Henry gives her a look as if to ask "are you OK?" With Diana telling him "if that is all she's got then I'm going to be OK" her coach looking surprised.

Round 2:
Off they go again, trading near the ring centre as Heidi looks to get into the face of Diana, leading to a heated exchange between the two fighters.
Heidi manages to land two rights into the body, Diana though snaps her head back with a straight punch and follows with two cross punches.
As Heidi tries to land a straight punch; missing and leaving herself open to three quick thrown punches slamming into her face to reel her onto the back foot.
Now it's Diana slamming into the gloves of Heidi, nearly knocking them into the face of the singer as she drives her around the ring.
Heidi manages to slip under a right to land a right of her own to the body of Diana, nearly ramming her left into Korkunova to try and shove her back.
The youngster though dances back out the way and lands a right over the guard of Range, smacking into her face before snapping two jabs into her nose.
That forces Heidi to retreat; but Diana is on her with another double jab sneaking through the guard of the older fighter.
This time it's Heidi stuck on the ropes as Diana tries to crack her guard open, the brunette really looking up for this as she smiles while working the body of Heidi.
The bell rings to end the round with Heidi's smile wiped firmly off her lips, while Diana continues to look bubbly as she always is.
Both starting to look marked up, Heidi's face though took a beating that round and she is clearly steaming about it on her stool as Mel works on her.

Round 3:
Heidi tries to come out the gates quickly, trading single punches again with her opponent, whose fighting off the back foot.
That is till she parries a right cross from Heidi and steps in quickly with three punches slamming across the face of her opponent.
Sweat flying into the air as Heidi's head is rocked about, Heidi needing to retreat and get her guard up as blood can be seen running from her nostrils.
Diana doesn't let her get far; drilling her punches over the guard of Range to knock her head back, the older fighter hasn't the reflexes it seems to deal with the speed of Diana's punches.
The youngster scoring more often now with her punches, knocking Heidi's back as she powers her to the ropes and the crowd are sensing Heidi might be in trouble.
The Scouse lass though shows her toughness, as her back touches the ropes; she starts trying to fight back, leading to more hard hitting combos in tight from both fighters.
Heidi though needs to clinch up as her nose gets caught with two more punches on the button, making her yelp each time.
The referee is needed to pry them apart; as Diana presses Heidi harder onto the ropes, the model winking to the crowd to show her confidence in this situation.
Once apart; Heidi moves into space and starts on the defensive as the round continues, Diana keeps walking her down, slamming punches into the gloves of her opponent to try and open her up.
The bell rings though before she is successful; Diana continues to smile, which gets on Heidi's nerves, some wondering if Diana is playing mind games here.
Sitting down; Heidi gets a talking to from Mel as her nose is being worked on, it is amazing the turnaround as the Mel doesn't look as confident for her fighter now.

Round 4:
Out come the girls, Heidi trying to fight hard; leaving herself too open though and is just getting caught across her face with long range punches.
Heidi manages to find a way through with a parry of a right and lands three short sharp body punches, the blonde roaring with effort, looking like she is throwing everything at her opponent.
Trying to keep in tight with Diana; the fighters slugging it out as Heidi continues to work the body, making Korkunova wince now.
But an uppercut knocks Ranges head back, leading to Diana smacking her with two straight punches that slam into the bloody nose of the blonde.
Who almost singing, if you count her howling as she is beaten back into a corner as singing, her face curling up into mask of agony as Diana beats her around her guard.
Heidi manages to clinch up, she is starting to look shaky now though, needing the referee the break them apart and she gets out the corner.
As she tries to come back at Diana; she is eating punches straight into her face, forcing her backwards and is trying to cover up.
But Diana is rifling her punches into the head of the blonde, rocking her onto the ropes to a roar from her fans, her coach is almost looking like he wants to rush into the ring anymore to pick her up to celebrate.
The round ends with Diana jogging back to her corner with her arms up; while Heidi wipes the blood from her lower face, looking worried as she gets to her own corner.
Mel wiping her face down and asks Heidi if she wants to continue, Heidi looks like she feels betrayed that she asked that, with Heidi replying "of course! I can still win this"
Diana is banging her gloves across the ring, almost a drum beat to the music Diana is creating each time she hits Heidi, this maybe the closing part of this hit.

Round 5:
Heidi does come out; looking to counter Diana as the youngster is hunting her down around the ring, keeping her gloves as tight as she can and tries to move her head more.
Problem is that Diana is catching her to the face; drilling rights into the top of her head as Heidi stumbles back several steps TILL AN UPPERCUT CATCHES HER AND PUTS HEIDI ONTO HER BACK!
The referee checks on Heidi; who groans but with her eyes shut and blood running from her, he waves the fight off!

Winner Diana Korkunova KO Round 5

After:
Diana jogs over to her corner with her arms raised; hugging her coach as he picks her up and hugs her tight in reply, the crowd cheering loudly for her.
While Heidi needs help from the ringside doctor, he wakes her up with smelling salts and help to sit her up, rubbing her jaw as it is still sore from the uppercut.
Her seeing Diana in the arms of Henry doesn't help her feelings, a little jealous to say the least as Mel B helps her stand up.
Heidi is shaky though and with a medics help; she is helped out of the ring and up the ramp to get more tests run on her.
Diana doesn't even notice that Heidi is gone, just flexing her arms to the crowd, this fight making up for her defeat to Lily Allen, now giving her a chance to win this tournament.
Climbing out the ring; Diana will have her eyes on the main event, with Jenna Louise Coleman the next on her hitlist in this tournament.
While Heidi probably is out the running, but stranger things have happened, she has Stephanie Davis next in the tournament, her will to improve on tonights performance should make that interesting.
