Cat Bell vs Jane Krakowski

(Thanks to Simguy for this repost)

Before: Bell sullen from recent setbacks, and the memory of Jane's giddy post-victory celebration in their last meeting - leads to some chilly pre-fight conferences that finally come to a head. "I'm tired of Cat whining for me and everyone else to give her some respect," Jane says at the podium, turning to Bell, "You want respect? Why don't you shut your mouth, step to me, and take it?" Bell stands, is immediately restrained and calmed by anxious handlers - this is a much more intense rematch than their previous meeting. Jane in orange tube top, red bikini bottoms, Cat in electric blue string bikini. Girls refusing to touch gloves during instructions despite referee's pleading.

During R1: Cat in a strong stance, gloves high, spearing the jab to start. Krakowski countering, dropping a quick strike right over Cat's left, and following up with a stabbing straight left to the mouth, sacrificing heft for speed and making clean, spanking contact with Bell's face. Jane's accuracy and multiple strikes have Bell's head jerking back, Cat standing straight up and backing away from the impertinent touches. Bell not shutout, not hurt but she looks awkward in retreat and Krakowski is in control with her deft, straight combinations to Cat's head.

R2: Jane dips and digs to the stomach with a slashing hook, drawing grunt from Cat. Bell stays with the stick, scoring effectively to Krakowski's left eye. Down the stretch, Jane's catspaw counters carry the round - she's sitting on Cat's jab, dabbing over top of it with straight rights and lefts to the face - Bell starting to shine up nicely under the tapping heat.

R3: Cat continues to try to establish the jab - Jane taking it away from her with nifty counter rights and cuffing left hooks. Bell essentially unhurt by the poking blows - but several times Jane induces a clattering backpedal from Cat, scattering the brunette backwards as Bell tries to lean away from the facial. Jane up 3 rounds to love in a tactical bout thus far.

R4: Cat stops jabbing, elbows in, gloves at her cheeks as she attempts to walk Jane down. Krakowski moving to her right, sweeping the odd right round punch against Cat's waist, leaning away to deposit the calling card hook on Cat's cheek as the brunette comes forward. Bell listless, can't find her rhythm, and not busy enough as Krakowski works in a big circle around her girl.

R5: Jane closing up her stance, using her legs to fade back as Cat jabs - when Cat doesn't jab, Jane turns her shoulders suddenly into drilling lead right hand potshots, stamping belly and breasts, then stepping niftily to the right to escape payback. Krakowski calmly dictating, giving Cat angles, occasionally dipping down low and coming up to run Cat's stomach into her shoulder, then clinching up for the referee's break. Bell just not doing anything, hears the riot act in her corner from concerned trainers.

R6: A more energetic Cat gets things done this round. Sharper, harder jab brought back into good defensive position takes away Jane's counter. Aggressive footwork cuts down the ring on Jane, not giving her so much freedome, making the blonde trade more. Batting exchanges go Cat's way as the heavier handed brunette punishes the blonde's ribs and scrapes hooks along Jane's jawline. Bell back to her corner with some life in her eyes for the first time in this fight.

R7: Shutout Jane Krakowski. Bell back to turning, covering up to block, but not getting off as Jane fades, circles, counters and clinches for tactical breaks. Krakowski nibbling at breast and chin, fading away, bending low and coming up with her left shoulder in Cat's stomach for easy clinches - Bell just walking in to be wrapped up or bucked back onto her heels. Shoeshining combinations to Cat's face mostly blocked - but judges just see Jane working - Bell taking.

R8: Shutout Jane Krakowski. Cat Bell moping - stepping forward but not moving her hands as Krakowski picks her apart. Jane with a bewildering variety of punches, the dabbing lefts and rights up the middle, the wide right hand to the beltline, the ripping hook to body and head - coupled with brilliant, economical footwork and ample use of the ring and Krakowski just has Cat bamboozled through 8.

R9: Cat pawing a few meaningless jabs, always paying the price as Jane chops the right hand back to the face, stabs the left into the mouth, and heaps on any time Bell leans back to get away. Jane hasn't landed a single shattering punch, but her constant, disciplined attention to Cat's face has Bell all shiny and puffy, and judges can't miss how clean the contact is. Final moments, Jane punctuates what she's done all night - Cat steps forward, loading up, Krakowski times her, fades back a step and beats her to a quick counter left hook to send Bell stumbling sideways all diffused at the break.

R10: Jane with an infuriating, superior smirk, fades away all around the ring - has no intention of opening up as Cat walks her down, looking for a miracle. Jane constantly getting low as Bell gets close, then coming up hard with that left shoulder to butt Cat off balance or wrap her up tight around the ribcage for breaks. Bell easily wins the round on aggression alone, but can't land a single meaningful blow - comes back a wide UD10 Jane Krakowski.

After: It's official - Cat Bell's in an awful slump. Bell standing with taped hands at her hips, staring at the canvas - Jane Krakowski strutting, being congratulated by Charlize Theron in person - Theron glancing over several times to drink in the sight of her demoralized rival - it's a terrible night for the elite brunette fighter. Bell sluggish and lacking zip all night long, rarely put punches together and never sat down to try to hurt Jane, EVEN when it became apparent it would take a knockout to win. Krakowski laying a technical masterpiece on her opponent, taking advantage of the listless pace to paint Cat up and down. Bell sickened by the sight of a beaming Charlize Theron holding up Jane's right hand in victory as the blondes stare pointedly in Cat's direction - brunette leaves the ring completely demoralized.
