BEFORE:
Emma crashing onto the VIX scene just two weeks ago, with a loss against fellow teammate Lily Collins. Not a good way to make an entrance, obviously, but here tonight she’s looking to redeem herself, and there’s a spring in her step as she makes her way down the runway now, filled to the brim with confidence again.

“Lily - ah, Lily - she’s always been insecure, especially about others’ popularity. Did she gain any fans that evening? What’s most important is that we raised some money for charity. Tonight though…” Emma eyes the empty runway before continuing. “Tonight’s different - my reputation’s on the line. I need to beat Rachel in order to prove that I belong.”

Tough but diplomatic words from the Harry Potter star. She’s right of course, with VIX management and a few stablemates already showing their faces in the front row seats for support, Emma has to perform. Luisana Lopilato, nice-queen of the locker room, together with Welter heavyweight Kelly Rohrbach, waving to the cameras, are both cheering for Watson as she enters the ring.

Her opponent tonight no slouch either. Rachel Bilson taking some hard knocks along her career path, but arguably she’s the one with the better experience and know-how coming into this fight. A good ten years older (and hopefully wiser) than Watson will prove to be the deciding factor as well. Bilson smiling wickedly as she brandishes both hands through the curtains, black bra and panties accentuating her figure nicely. Later, she responds to Emma’s comments ringside.

“Emma’s a nice girl, but nice girls ALWAYS finish last. In this sport, you’ve gotta be ruthless, aggressive. And that’s what I’m gonna teach her tonight.”

Short and sweet comments, with a pinch of respect thrown in there, if you’d like to call it that… Later, Rachel entering ring and preparing in her corner as well. Referee calls them both to the middle to touch gloves, and they comply, focused grins on faces. Here we go with ten rounds of Flyweight action!

ROUND 1:
Rachel opening the fight in surprising control of it, takes the fight to Emma’s corner with some wanton aggression that Emma simply doesn’t have much of an answer for. She’s quick to get in close, denying Watson the freedom of the rest of the ring to maneuver, then hounding the Brit actress with jabs, some of it landing but most of it just making her look better in front of the audience. At least, that’s compared to Emma, who for all her talk is still fighting the same way she always does - defensive and hanging back, trying to counter-punch, but realising that this only works on a drained opponent. Bilson too fresh for that nonsense, and the gleeful American capitalises on her counterpart’s inaction by scoring over and over again to the face and body, running away with points to the bell. Crowd firmly in her favour as well, relishing the thought of a woman 10 years older out-working a fan favourite like Watson.

ROUND 2:
Emma needs to get things together if she not only wants to survive this fight, but also her new stint at VIX. To her credit, she speeds up the pace in the first minute, now meeting Rachel head-on and exchanging some mutual blows to the face at close proximity. Is it enough though? Bilson not convinced by her change of heart, amps up the power and pressure with some heavy hooks to the guard. Emma gets squeamish, takes the bait and retreats almost as soon as the first hook lands. Collective gasp of disappointment from the audience as it’s always not fun seeing your idol in the ring beat a hasty turnabout, especially when you know she has the power to match Bilson. Instead, the move proves to be Emma’s undoing - Bilson like a bee drawn to honey, keeps up the constant pounding on her guard, when a third hook gets lucky and SNAGS the chin roughly, throwing the Brit off balance! Rachel crowds in quickly, snaps a one-two into the gut then follow-up uppercut to the chin WOBBLES THE BRIT, WHO FALLS DOWN FLAT ON HER ARSE! Knockdown early in this match-up for Rachel Bilson!

Fervent fans of the American actress doing their best to make up for their lack of numbers - boy are they cheering as though the fight’s already over! Certainly a remarkable feat for the 37 year old, who’s all-smiles and making her way back to corner with a spring in her Dixie step. If this continues to go her way, Rachel should consider coming back into the ring MUCH more often! Unfortunately for her, Emma rising steadily already, making it back up by the count of 7 and putting a stopper in that though. There’s sweat flowing down her forehead, looking shaken and uncertain, but when the referee resumes the round, at least she doesn’t get caught in another error like that again, employing her footwork much more smartly, readily so as not avoid Rachel’s knockout aspirations.

ROUND 3:
Rachel perhaps was hoping to win the match early before, now her hopes increasing ten-fold with that early knockdown attempt. She CHARGES the Brit quickly in the third, swinging hard and for the fences, but gets a taste of reality when Emma doesn’t take the bait and avoids those slow, ponderous hooks aimed at her head and body, and instead gets her cheek packed in by the Brit’s errant jabbing. Classic Watson as she ecks out a comeback based on her own terms, at her own timing, taking shots deliberately when Rachel in the most vulnerable position imaginable. That’s not to say that Bilson has some vengeance of her own in the final minute, catching the Brit flush on her midsection with a left hook, then another one to her right side, stunning her on the spot. But Bilson goes again with a hook to the face, which Emma barely avoids but avoids she does, weaving her torso back in the nick of time. Still, Watson retreating with a jab jammed into the nose, with Bilson having same idea, shooting off a string of long jabs that smack into both faces simultaneously. Unfortunately for either girl the bell rings soon after, forcing them to take the fight to the next round.

ROUND 4:
Rachel shouldn’t be making any rash decisions at this point - she’s got the comfortable lead after that early knockdown attempt. All she needs to do is keep a level head and let Emma make the mistakes for the next few rounds. Sadly, no dice… perhaps it’s the different upbringing of cultures, prodding Bilson to prod her opponent constantly, or reminding her that if she wants something, she should have the balls to take it. Bilson subscribing to that philosophy against the will of her own corner, comes out as aggressive as she was in the first. Emma however feeling out her opponent’s pattern early on when she ceded the first two rounds, now scooting out of the way with that trademark defensive counter-fighting of hers in full display. She parries, blocks and dodges most of the incoming punches thrown her way, each time planting leather back into Rachel’s face and body, much to the detriment and stubbornness of the American, who just can’t seem to take a hint that her aggressive style just not working here. Some reckless, wild punches do land on Emma’s tummy late in the round, but they’re just lucky shots without much way of precision, and that’s the only reason why Emma doesn’t walk away this round with a total shutout score. Tide turning against Rachel and if she’s not careful, it may just threaten to swallow her whole...

ROUND 5:
Rachel even squeezing some time early in the round for a blatant taunt in Emma’s direction, gesturing the Brit to ‘Come at her!’ with both gloves waving recklessly in front of her chest. Not sure whether it’s a poorly thought out attempt at getting into Emma’s head or that Bilson is just that reckless, but the results are bad for one girl. Emma does follow the direction at first, which has her fans holding their collective breaths in worry that she too is suddenly not thinking straight. But she’s still in control as she approaches Bilson - side-stepping some choice straight hands from the American deftly, and then peppering her body with jabs of her own as she closes the distance bit by bit by bit. The crowds now growing in frenzy as Emma gets in close enough range to brawl, a stance that she’s not known for and surely in dangerous waters. Rachel knows this too, thinks she finally has the advantage here with a BIG swing to the head but wait for it - Emma DUCKS under it nicely - she was f*cking waiting for it! Now she rises from the depths with an uppercut to end all uppercuts... CONNECTS straight into Rachel’s chin, sending her flying up and off her feet! Bilson lets out a GURGLE and that’s the last thing we hear from the brunette’s lips, who CRASHES back down onto the canvas flat on her back, KNOCKED OUT COLD ladies and gentlemen! IT’S OVER!

Official Decision: Emma Watson defeats Rachel Bilson via KO5!

AFTER:
WOW - we certainly take back those words of doubt for Emma’s prowess in the ring - the Brit tonight showing plenty of zest, fire and spirit - even some unorthodox boxing as she attempts to shake up her game plan and step out of comfort zone. She’s beaming to reporters as she celebrates her win tonight, pink-faced but otherwise just only working up a sweat: “Hey - it’s a new stable, right? I’ve picked up some tips and tricks to give my opponents a run for their money. Dear Rachel unfortunately was the first bloke for me to experiment on…”

Rachel getting shaken back alive by her own corner, jerking awake suddenly by the smelling salts and the first words out of her mouth are ‘What the f*ck happened??” Then only, of course, that pain throbbing in her lower jaw giving her the quick summary. Perhaps age really is a factor at this stage and this sport. A shame though that Bilson looked genuinely on fire in the early rounds, only to get extinguished too early past her prime.
