Zoe Saldana vs Meghan Markle
(7-9, 6 KO vs 8-8, 7 KO)
Results: Lookout!; Story: Vassago

BEFORE: There are no guarantees regarding Meghan Markle's boxing future with all the Royal Wedding glitz firmly on the horizon now. That's potentially a lucky break for Zoe Saldana who hopes to catch the fellow brunette off guard tonight: "Her mind is way up there at Westminster! She can deny it but that's the truth!"

Meanwhile Markle rejects rumours linking her to a swift retirement: "Let's don't talk about that other big event here, shall we? I still have a job to do and that includes exposing Zoe's legendary glass jaw! She couldn't even handle that old hack Jessica Chastain so why should I worry about her ridiculous comments?"

Zoe Saldana wears a navy blue bikini set with silver trim and silver gloves. Long black hair straight, tucked behind the ears. Meghan Markle wears a red sports bra, black hotpants with red trim and red gloves. Dark brown hair tied in a sleek ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.

Round 1:
Meghan won both her fights last year but falls foul of Zoe's apparent last chance salloon aggressive rush during the initial tangle. It's almost like Zoe's future rides on tonight's result and she gallops straight into the fellow brunette's body. While Meghan lands a couple of nice cross hooks, she bends forward with a whimper when Saldana THUMPS her on the navel and camps inside her guts to clean out the pieces. Ugh! Meghan wobbles to her heels but fails to escape the heat because her feet get tangled up in the proccess and this allows Zoe to channel a truly rare spell of outright pressure. She delivers more strikes to the exposed midsection and has Markle dropping onto the ropes against her own will. A late clinch salvages a soon-to-be-royal pride but Zoe gets so stuck into her mission she keeps pounding away at Meghan's tummy even after the bell which forces the referee to lecture her about proper conduct.

Round 2:
Zoe quickly finds her groove in the second and apparently that simply wasn't in Meghan's plan here. She struggles to embrace another body-busting charge until she finally rips a cross against the allegedly glass jaw that tames Saldana's aggressive mission. Both women duke it out in close range but finding her targets upstairs proves problematic for the older brunette whereas Markle begins to cash in with simple half-uppercuts against the subpar high-guard. She knocks a few of them straight onto the jaw and forces Zoe into cover but the fight takes a disappointing turn in general come the final minute when Saldana clinches her foe and wrestles her back to the ropes instead of just bashing it on the target like she did during the opener. However she hardly landed a big punch against Markle's face and that's the main problem.

Round 3:
Another close range stance brews in the third but there's no real strenght behind these efforts and while Zoe bounces off the high guard too often, Meghan remains equally ineffective which drags the fight down into pure journeywomen level. Still, the intensity is clearly visible but quality becomes a problem until Zoe finally resumes the ribcage pounding half-way through the round. Markle tried to bump her off to her heels but misjudged her approach wholesale and allowed the older brunette to cash in with a proper harpoon strike below the right elbow. She charges at the younger woman almost instantly and Meghan loses her footing again; she drops to the ropes but fails to beat Saldana for the overhand escape and eats a nasty heave on the lips which sinks her on visibly jelly knees right at the bell.

Round 4:
Maybe the Royal Wedding truly plays on Meghan's mind here since she's basically allowed Saldana to battle it out on her own terms but that feeling stops when she rocks the older brunette with a belter to the solar plexus seconds into the fourth. Ugh! Zoe's punching resistance has always worked against her profile - whether up or downstairs - and this lone punch folds her straight into a wild uppercut frenzy that has Markle thumping the other woman's jaw once... twice... three times even... Oi, Zoe!!! The New Jersey brunette loses her plot as her mitts are scattered to the side and Meghan barks in delight as she wipes the exposed foe against the nose before blasting one additional shot to the right temple... AND SALDANA GOES DOWN!!! The East Coast lass half-spins while heading for the floor and remains limp when landing on her left side. She begins to shiver in spasms and that's a familiar sight for someone who hasn't won a FCBA fight since 2011. Just send in the stretcher!!! KO4 Meghan Markle!!!

AFTER: Meghan breaths heavily as she stares down on the fallen opponent but she won't get high performance marks for this outing. Only Zoe's subpar punching resistance allowed her to get out of a hole just in time and well, anyone with a proper strike should have blasted the Princess-to-be during the first three rounds one way or another. Free agency and a wedding gown don't fit best when one needs to make a statement and silence the Gracy Kelly-like retirement talk. Next stop? Windsor Castle (not Westminster). Future FCBA status? Unknown.

Final result: Meghan Markle def. Zoe Saldana KO4.
