BEFORE:
This is IT folks - a win here tonight would secure the Vixen’s place in the history books - not just a revenge win against a formidable rival, but a win that would seal the deal as ‘Longest Winning Streak in the FCBA’, only on par with Lucy Liu so far who has the record of 16 consecutive wins. Tonight, Megan aiming for *17* bloody wins in a row, a feat not any girl can brag about in her career.

Of course, all this is mere talk if she doesn’t get past Hayden Panettiere tonight. The blonde is looking in tip-top fighting shape herself, with recent victories over girls like Lucy Hale and Jessica Lowndes following a similar path that Megan took before. Girls are civil at first, cordial words exchanged at the pre-fight conference table as they address their fans respectively.

“Megan’s done well for herself, for sure. But she can’t erase her past just because she’s won a few matches recently,” Hayden hesitant to praise at first. “Let’s not forget - I beat her fair and square back in ‘14. You don’t expect a different result just because she’s now the champion. That belt is as good as mine, I’d say.”

Megan shrugging off those words with a smirk, arms folded across her chest as she responds. “Still a cocky little blonde as ever. If you must know, the winning streak record doesn’t mean much to me. I’m just here to kick Hayden’s ass. At the end of tonight, if I happen to win both the title and the accolade, whilst laying her flat on her back, that’s just the cherry on top of the cake.”

Megan in black bikini and briefs, muscled and toned like she’s been spending more time in the gym than usual. Hayden in her classic Irish-green swimsuit top and bottom, blonde hair tied back in ponytail and black gloves wound up tight around both hands. The referee rings the bell to begin!

ROUND 1:
Megan establishes the tone early in the fight by keeping Hayden at bay with jabs directed at her head whenever she comes in too close. The blonde hungry to win, and it shows, but she doesn’t realise she’s fighting a different person now from the woman she fought in 2014: back then, she managed to pick Megan apart easily. This woman in front of her now however is a different beast: employing crowd control tactics and simultaneously stunning with defensive jabs, and let’s not f*cking forget - she’s the Flyweight champion of the world now. Hayden paying dearly for underestimating her opponent as a result, taking one too many hits to the face and only scoring a few punches to the body but nothing else. By the time the bell rings, we give it a clean and wide score to the champion for being in control for the majority of the round.

ROUND 2:
Well, two can play at that game - Hayden adapting well in the second round, creating artificial lull in the action but a good strategy to make the champ feel pressured enough to approach her instead. Megan closing distance, jabbing at the guard warily whilst expecting Hayden’s return hooks, but NOT expecting the amount of power or the ferocity behind each punch. First hook rattles her as Hayden sends a message that she’s also improved over the years since they last fought. Megan shaken but retaining her balance easily, but the second hook to the head unravels her defense as she goes stumbling sideways into the ropes, wondering what the hell just hit her. Hayden on her in an instant, alternating body shots left right left before Megan manages to clinch forward. The girls rotate on the ropes, taking turns pressing each other in firmly, before they let each other go with a hard SHOVE at shoulders and chest in the final seconds of the round. Hayden with the comeback sauce, for sure, but can either girl really exploit this?

ROUND 3:
Slower round as the girls regroup and reevaluate. Megan looking eager to brawl though - that last melee has her wanting to try out some new clinchwork, and she starts barreling towards Hayden attempting to either avoid her defensive countermeasures or simply duck under some hooks to the head, responds with a one-two hup hup to the belly, and that’s all it takes for Hayden to fold and retreat? Megan giving chase, continuing to swipe at the body as Hayden’s arms effectively turtling up. Still, Panettiere doesn’t get let herself get trapped in one corner of the ring, constant movement managing to deny Megan the quick victory she was after this round.

ROUND 4:
Rare show of aggression nets Megan the win in the last round. She’s hoping to repeat the same success… problem is Hayden has the same idea. Both girls CLASH in the middle of the ring, wildly swinging as they meet head on. Hayden with harsh punching to the champion’s midsection, alternating her lefts and right hands as she works the abs like a personal punching bag. Megan choosing to bang up top, swiping at the head with a double hook but lacking venom in her punches, especially when Hayden starts getting in too close for comfort, her fists continuing to batter the belly and knock the wind out of Fox, who begins a steady retreat herself, much to the delight of Panettiere. Hayden seizing the opportunity as she licks her lips, continues planting uppercuts into the brunette’s body. Megan groaning, has no choice but to try and clinch when her back hits the ropes. Hayden has one arm tied up, being held by Fox, but that still leaves her with her other hand, so she sends it swiping at Megan’s chest as she tries to break free and have uninhibited access to the rest of the body. Unfortunately for her, the bell rings soon after, and the referee steps in to break up the party early.

ROUND 5:
Megan not looking too well as she prepares herself for the fifth. The girls are now two rounds a piece and dead even in terms of points scored. Fox resolves it in her head to secure a win here in the fifth, as the two gals have taken turns doing for the past four times. It’s only fair, Megan reminds herself, before her face disappearing in a quick right hand, shovelled in by Hayden right from the start! Testimony of the champion’s calibre is to NOT go flying back so immediately, instead Megan continues her advanced on the blonde, managing to snuff a short uppercut into that chin of hers, snapping head back. But teary-eyed Hayden steps forward instead of backwards again, and the two girls resume their plan for mutual destruction with punches landing on noses and disappearing into tummies. Girls end up in a mutual clinch in the last thirty seconds of the round, rotating each other about whilst sending punches up into her opponent’s body. Bell rings and referee separates them and sends them back to respective corners… we’re calling this round for Ms Panetierre for showing Megan’s corner ringside that she can’t be intimidated or influenced so easily.

ROUND 6:
Megan abandoning her defensive stance… she, knows she lost the previous two rounds and comes back with vengeance in mind. Hayden surprised by sudden onslaught upon her early, the champ raining down jabs and hook combos which crash into her high guard repeatedly. Megan then slapping leather off Hayden’s tummy, drawing grunts as the blonde is walked about the ring. Hayden finding some backbone however in the last minute, stands her ground and SWINGS back a nasty hook that lands on Megan’s side, contorting both her face and body. The two girls just stand and trade there and then, doing their best to ignore the pain felt in every part of themselves, instead focusing on hurting the other girl as much as she can. Megan takes the round wide but we wonder if those last exchanges to her body are gonna come back and bite her in the future.

ROUND 7:
Hell - what did we say? Megan slow out of her corner and it costs her straight away. Hayden fresh by comparison, starts stalking the champ and herding her into corner to make a mistake. First pokes to Megan’s tummy draw loud gasps and more yelps of rage. But Hayden not deterred - in fact with a wider and wider grin on her face as she targets almost exclusively Megan’s weak spot: her chest and abs, giving her entire body a workout in the seventh. Megan halfheartedly fighting back as she’s driven about the ring, more interested in protecting her belly with ger forearms than punching back at her own weight. Hayden with a BIG round going for her as both girls realise this fight might very well be decided by decision in the end.

ROUND 8:
Megan of course cursing herself as the rest of the world counts down to zero. In everyone’s eyes, this match could go on forever in a repeating cycle of who takes the first round, who takes the second etc. Megan receiving advice from her corner in between to screw her defences and charge head on at the blonde, which she obliges. Once again they meet each other with a SPLAT of flesh on flesh, leather glove on belly, but also bunching in the cheek with the other. Megan slightly better at this than Hayden at clinch warfare, slowly making gains by pushing the blonde backwards one step at a time. Of course, all those body shots certainly easing the transition, with Hayden left panting on Megan’s shoulder, her midsection spanked repeatedly by Megan’s errant fists below. All the blonde can do is hold a tight grip around the back of Megan’s neck, pulling her body in as close as possible so that their tummies stick together and prevent getting openly punched. Regardless, Megan defies the odds again with an eighth round shutout in what must have been perplexing to many in the audience for the Transformers star to even last this long in the first place.

ROUND 9:
It’s an impressive feat so far that neither girl has scored a knockdown. Lesser women would have kissed the canvas and back by now, sometimes even more than once. Of course, not to diss the previous fight between fellow stablemate Lily Collins and Vanessa Hudgens - that fight was CRAZY by most standards, reaching a whopping EIGHT knockdowns in seven rounds. By contrast? Neither Megan or Hayden wanting to be the first one to drop.

It’s the ninth round and somehow the girls still look okay and ready to rumble. Hayden suffered some damage in the last round so she chooses to hang back. By contrast, Megan fighting like a different beast compared to the opening round, now seizing the opportunity to squeeze and pressure the blonde into submission, slowly herding her in a wanted direction with lightning jabs to the head, then the body, as Hayden has nowhere else to go but back into the corner. Panettiere realises what’s happening a little too late, preoccupied with fending off the blows that she seldomly retaliated with jabs of her own. Megan unfazed, keeps on advancing, keeps on advancing - it’s only until Hayden’s back hits the top rope does she POUNCE! Sudden SURGE of both energy and commitment as Megan lunges in with a right hand straight down the middle of the guard. Hayden absorbs but looks clearly rattled by the power behind that punch, and is NO MATCH for ANOTHER straight hand from Fox as this time, it pierces the guard and SLAMS hard into the nose! UGHH! Hayden’s eyes watery as her head is forced back from the impact. The blonde valiantly still swinging, hoping to get lucky with a stray hook, but Megan deals with those wayward hands easily, knocking them out of her way and then BLAM - AN UPPERCUT STRAIGHT TO THE CHIN LIFTS HAYDEN OFF HER FEET!! Her way down much faster than expected as she CRUMPLES into a heap! Is it over?!?

3...4… Megan standing still on the spot, panting heavily, one arm half-raised to her cheering fans in the audience.

5...6… Hayden groaning loudly, but at least she’s still alive… IF she can make it back to her knees soon she may still stand a chance of recovery.

7...8… Fox slowly moving to neutral corner, chest puffing in and out as she contemplates what she’s gonna do if she actually wins this match right now and breaks the all-time record for number of consecutive wins. She shakes the thought from her head almost as immediately as she considered it though - she hasn’t won yet, folks.

9… Hayden still barely off her feet, two arms pulling desperately at the top rope for leverage, but her eyes still squeezed shut as though her mind spinning wildly from the impact. 10!! The referee waves it over!!

Official Decision: Megan Fox defeats Hayden Panettiere via KO9! Megan Fox is STILL Flyweight champion of the world!

AFTER:
Our heartiest congratulations to Ms Fox for tonight’s stellar performance AND also her various performances over the past year which have led to this significant milestone in her career. Plenty of folks said she couldn’t do it; plenty of folks said she shouldn’t even have tried. Those folks are eerily silent tonight, compared to the roar of the audience members as the giant LCD screen proudly declares:

MEGAN FOX
UNIFIED FLYWEIGHT CHAMPION
17-CONSECUTIVE WINS
CONGRATULATIONS :)

Bouquets of flowers ferried into the ring from various directions, Megan’s fellow teammates ambushing her with well wishes and hugs of their own, and Megan surprisingly humble, doesn’t gloat or become overly dramatic like some of her other stablemates might have. She accepts each bouquet of flowers with a nod of thanks, before turning back to the audience and raising a hand of triumph to show her appreciation as well.

As for Ms Panettiere, she’s been watching the proceedings from the safety of her corner, the medics having checked on her status and found that she’ll live to fight another day. Rare show of sportsmanship as the last girl to congratulate Megan is Hayden herself, slow steps towards the champ in the middle of the ring before offering an extended hand and sharing a brief hug, Megan encouraging her as much as Hayden wishing her all the best for the future.

What’s next for Ms Fox? Well, she’s certainly talked on many occasions about climbing the Bantamweight ladder now that she’s cleaned out the Flyweight division. Of course, though, plenty of Flyweights would disagree with that assessment. For now though, she heads back to the locker room for a well-deserved break.
