HAYLEY ATWELL VS ADRIANNE PALICKI

Hayley: 36 YO, 5’6 1/2 (1.69 m) FCBA: 8-4-0 (8 KO) since 2011, Pretty Little Punchers
Adrianne: 34 YO, 5’11 (1.80 m) FCBA: 28-23-0 (23 KO) since 2008, Sceej Boxing

Before: “I am undertaking this fight,” says Hayley Atwell at the pre-fight press event, “to demonstrate that I am more than the BBU’s JMDD Champion. I am proud of that title, but I want to remind everyone that I am just as good in a conventional fight. I do realize that I am fighting someone a good deal taller than myself and with long experience. She is no easy opponent, but, then again, neither am I. I expect to prevail in the end, though it will take a great effort on my part of pull it off. I believe that I can.”

Adrianna Palicki listens politely to Hayley’s exposition, but when she takes her turn at the podium she is blunt: “Hayley is fighting me because she has noticed I haven’t been as buys I would have liked in recent years. Lack of activity means rust and I am sure she and her management think that will let her best me. Sorry, toots, but I am putting you down just so everyone will know Adrianne Palicki is back and punching as hard—or harder—than ever. Get ready to get your dreams stepped on, Atwell, and it will be my boot doing the stomping!”

Hayley Atwell raises an eyebrow: “Bold talk, Palicki, you best be careful or it won’t be your boot doing the stomping—it will be mine.”

“That’s pretty big talk from a ‘small fry’ like you,” Adrianne scoffed, “I should be fighting two of you just to make it fair.”

“Oh, don’t worry yourself, I may be shorter than you, but I know how to chop you down to size. Remember that when you are sucking canvas with my boot on your bottom,” Hayley said with cool disdain.

“It is so going to be a pleasure to wipe that arrogant smile off your face,” Adrianne snapped.

“It won’t be any sort of pleasure for you because you are not going to win,” Hayley said with assurance.

The two veterans glare at each other icy, but then FCBA officials move in and guide Adrianne and Hayley from the stage. (Groans from the crowd who had been hoping for some sort of catfight, but not today)

Fight night finds Hayley Atwell in a royal blue bikini with navy blue gloves and boots with lighter blue laces. Her hair in a simple ponytail. Adrianne in a red bikini with white gloves and boots (red laces). Hair is in double pigtails. Chilly, but correct ring instructions go smoothly and both fighters are in their corners. The bell rings.

R1: Hayley aggressively applying pressure from the outset. She bores in, trying to work under Adrianne’s jabbing efforts to keep her at a distance, and then hammers Adrianne to the ribcage with smashing right/left combos. Adrianne dropping back and trying to swing around Hayley. Hayley shifting with her now finds Adrianne chin with quick shots to make her head bobble. Hayley smacks shots to the jaw to follow up and she has a shaken Adrianne falling back rapidly. Hayley trying to stay up with her and maintain her attack. Adrianne stabilizes behind the jab, but times runs out on the round as Hayley takes the opener by a wide margin.

R2: Adrianne wastes on time in mounting a counterattack this round. She moves quickly and uses that superior reach to strike hard at Hayley head. Adrianne much better able to keep Hayley from working her way in close this round and she circling around the smaller fighter to keep banging that head, Hayley reduced to keeping her head down and trying to get some counters into Adrianne’s body, but the evasive Adrianne is hard to hit squarely. Adrianne adds some swiping rights and lefts to make Hayley’s juggs dance, then adds some shots to the belly. Hayley struggling to counter, but Adrianne had her largely thwarted to the bell. Adrianne secures her first round of the night wide.

R3: Hayley and Adrianne now both scrambling to be the quicker fighter coming out for this round and Hayley wins the race. She zips in under Adrianne’s long-range defense and pounds those ribs as she pushes off her fight to add leverage to the impacts. Adrianne trying to force Hayley back with the jab, but Hayley’s ignoring it as she now shifts down to hook Adrianne to the belly. Adrianne doubling up and shuffling back, but she can’t evade Hayley this time., Hayley now smashing rights and lefts to the head. Adrianne lashing back with the jab to the chest of Hayley Atwell, but Hayley hanging in there until she has Adrianne covering up her head. Hayley now free for some payback bra busting action as she works over Adrianne’s rack to finish the round. Bell sounds, referee steps in to separate Adriana and Hayley. Both fighters dripping sweat and breathing hard, but stare at each other with determination before turning to march away. Hayley takes the round wide.

R4: Hayley right back at Adrianne this round, but Adrianne is better prepared and Hayley has to work her way forward against hard-hitting jabs to the head. Hayley keeps trying but she is getting her face badly banged up and finally her offensive stalls with blood dripping from a busted lower lip. Adrianne moves goes to the attack with opening hooks to the belly to get Hayley tipped forward. Then she does some swinging rights and lefts to Hayley’s hanging hooters to bring down Hayley’s guard. Then she smites Hayley’s chin with a fast series of left and right uppercuts. Hayley’s legs trembling and she seems momentarily frozen. Adrianne then uncorks a left/right to the jaw. DOWN GOES HAYLEY! Hayley corkscrews into the canvas and sends up on all fours. Adrianne gives her a sniff of disdain and then marches to neutral corner. Referee moves in and starts to count. Hayley lets it go until “FIVE!” to recover her senses and then she rises slowly to beat the count at “EIGHT!” Action resumes. Adrianne trying to get at Hayley head for a finishing shot, but Hayley blunting or dodging these punches while lashing out with jab to keep Adrianne back. This allows Hayley to make it to the end of the round, but that knockdown ensures Adrianne has won the round by a wide margin.

R5: Adrianne moving with confidence tries to get in that finishing stroke. Hayley ducking, fighting back with the jab, but it’s not discouraging Adrianne. Adrianne now moves forward trying to back Hayley into the ropes. Hot exchange in close as Adrianne hooks the underside of Hayley’s bra cups, but Hayley getting her hooks into Adrianne’s ribs and belly. Adrianne still pushing forward, but then Hayley drops down and comes up with a right uppercut from around the ankles. Hayley’s spotted a weak point in Adrianne’s defenses brings the uppercut through the gap and up under Adrianne’s chin. Adrianne’s head shoots back as she stands on her tip-toes! Hayley leaping up to smash rights and lefts into Adrianne’s jaw. ADRIANNE PALICKI GOES DOWN> Adrianne spins away as her legs give and she crashes onto her face. She lies there, mouth against the canvas and shuddering. Big grin Hayley Aywell before scampering to neutral corner. Referee counts. Adrianne tries to rise but as she pushes up on her arms, her elbows give way and she again face down on the canvas with no strength left in her body.

“EIGHT!...NINE!...TEN!...YER OUT!”

THE WINNER: HAYLEY ATWELL DEFEATS ADRIANNE PALICKI KO5!

After: Grinning Hayley Atwell goes over to the fallen Adrianne Palicki and plants a boot on her butt. Adrianne looks up in groggy anger, but Hayley still grinning. Then she struts away waving to the crowd as sister PLP members Sasha Pieterse, Shay Mitchell and Danielle Campbell congratulate her.

“I have to admit, seeing her lying there, mouth against the canvas—I just had to make the rest of my dream come true and plant a foot on her derriere! What a sweet victory it was!” Hayley crows later to the press.

Adrianne Palicki seeing things differently, of course: “It was a lucky punch, that’s all! I was beating her, but I went and got sloppy. I give her credit but seizing an opportunity to deck me. Still, that was cheap stunt posing for me like that! Goes to show you how low class she is!”

When informed of this, Hayley just smiles: “I understand someone got a very nice still photo of that pose. I am thinking of having it turned into a poster to sell on the PLP Market Site, but I will send Adrianne a copy personally autographed by me. I am sure she will want to hang it as a reminder of what happens when she talks rudely to me.”

“Oh, I may keep it as a reminder,” Adrianne growls later, “but it’ll be of what a bytch Hayley Atwell can be and now I should make her pay for that. That’s what I’ll be remembering!”

Intense back and forth action while it lasted, made this fight quite enjoyable for the paying customers. Adrianne Palicki may have a point about Hayley Atwell getting in a “lucky punch” but that it boxing and if causes a knockout—that’s a “W” in Hayley’s win column and an “L” in Adrianne’s loss column. Post fight hard feelings make some wonder if there won’t be a rematch, but certainly fans can hope they will see them back in action soon whether separately or together.
