BEFORE:

"Obviously, I don't know how much longer I'm going to be doing this," says Lucy with a nod. "But, this is a fight I've wanted since she was on the winning streak a few years ago, so, if we're going to do it, let's do it now."

"She's a Hall of Famer," says Kristen with a nod. "She's been doing this 20 years and has more titles than a lot of girls have wins. So, I'm all about respecting her. But, I've also got to be all about beating her tonight, and I will be."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside, and those are The Four Lads From Liverpool you hear behind us doing 'Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds', and here comes the star of CBS' 'Elementary', Hall of Famer Lucy Liu!"

Tess: "Liu has nearly 120 career fights and 81 wins. She's won nine titles and is, as both Jenny and Stewart mentioned, a member of the Hall of Fame."

Cassie: "She's also the former holder of the record for most consecutive FCBA wins, and is, obviously, one of the greatest flyweights of all time."

O'Dell: "Liu into the ring and helped off with the robe. She's wearing a white bikini and that body looks anything BUT 49 years old..."

McCarthy: "Nothin' but a number, especially to a fellow Hall of Famer like Lucy..."

Cassie: "Here's where I point out that, while LUCY is in the Hall of Fame, Mac is NOT..."

McCarthy: "And, here's where I point out that it's a TRAGEDY OF JUSTICE! I've been ROBBED! Robbed of my rightful place among the elite of women's boxing! Me! The Greatest Fighting Playmate of ALL TIME!"

O'Dell (sighing): "Aaaaaannnnddddd, we're going to have dueling Beatles songs tonight, because that's 'Helter Skelter' you hear behind us, and here comes 'The Five-Tool Player', Kristen Stewart!"

Cassie: "K-Stew the only Front Street flyweight ever to get a title shot, and she's looking for another shot at the gold this year, and she needs a win tonight if she's going to make that happen."

O'Dell: "Stewart climbs into the ring and is helped off with the robe to reveal that lime green number she likes. And, the ladies are about ready. Time for some picks. Tess likes Kristen. Mac?"

McCarthy: "One's a Hall of Famer and the other is a Dancing Hooker. Lucy!"

O'Dell: "Cassie?

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "And, we're underway. Stewart wants to set up behind that long left hand early, but Lucy having none of it. Liu working past and getting inside to bang body. Kristen tying the older fighter up, but Lucy punching free and landing a NASTY right hand that got Stewart's attention! Liu loaded for bear early, ladies!"

Cassie: "Lucy certainly still in great shape, but, she's giving away a lot of years, so, the strategy here might be to get after Stewart early."

O'Dell: "And after her she IS! Lucy walking through a right hand to get back in and work that body. Good right hook forces Kristen to cover up and Liu just HAMMERS that midsection with a pair of short hooks. Stewart tying up again and again the veteran punches free and lands a solid hook, this time a left."

McCarthy: "This is GREAT stuff from Lucy, showing this Dancing Hooker for exactly what she is!"

O'Dell: "Fifteen seconds left in the first, and Liu just all OVER Stewart! Kristen not hurt, but she's getting touched up and touched often as Lucy's throwing hard shot from every angle possible. ANOTHER good right hand from Liu and there's the bell! Lucy grabs the first and she grabs it wide."

Tess: "10-9 on the cards, but, psychologically, that could be a big round for Liu. She made a statement to Stewart."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Back to work in the second. Liu again looking to pressure, but Stewart making an adjustment now. She's using the drop step and circle, getting a little extra distance and time and using it to find Lucy with that accurate jab. That's slowing down the older woman's efforts to close."

Cassie: "This is a sharp counter move. As accurate as Kristen is, a little extra time is all she needs."

O'Dell: "Appears that way, because Liu isn't able to close as often as she was in the first. Instead, she's being held out on the end of Stewart's jab, and that's allowing Kristen to get some right hands on. It's totally changed the complexion of the fight. Lucy no longer controlling it."

McCarthy: "But, she's got to find a way inside, because she was using the Hayek plan, and it was working."

O'Dell: "Not working now as we come down the stretch. Instead, it's Kristen who's getting the better of things. Stewart getting in rhythm, putting punches together, now beginning to control the older woman with that jab. Five seconds to go. Good combination, Stewart, and there's the bell. Kristen."

Tess: "And, we're even at 19."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Third round sees another adjustment. Liu working with hands high now. She's looking to pick off the Stewart jab and get past it that way. K-Stew moving the feet, giving a little ground with the drop step, able to score at range, but Lucy closing more now, and, when she does, she's getting work done inside."

Tess: "And these body shots are going to have an effect as the fight goes on, because they are HARD shots."

O'Dell: "That, they are. Stewart tying Lucy up in there, but Liu again punching free. This is what happens with a veteran like Liu. There's not a trick in the book she doesn't know, and a few of them, she probably invented. Good exchange in the phone booth! Both ladies landed solid shot."

McCarthy: "Liu's just got to keep after this kid. Keep doing what Hayek did."

O'Dell: "That appears to be the plan as we head into the final 20 seconds of the third. Stewart shoving Lucy off, getting some range, getting back to boxing. Older woman again working forward and past the defenses to bang body. Kristen bangs back in kind and that will take us to the bell. Good, two-way round to Liu."

Cassie: "And, Lucy's back up 29-28."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Another adjustment, this time from Stewart. Double-tap jab, and, again, the idea is to slow Lucy, hold her out on the edge of K-Stew's punches. And, it's working early in the fourth round. Mac, talk about the idea of the double-tap and how that can work to change the dynamic..."

McCarthy: "Simple enough. Liu's able to pick off some of the jabs and get forward when she does. Double up the jabs and that gives you a better chance to hold her out there."

O'Dell: "And, that's what Kristen's doing here in the fourth. Not all the time, but more frequently, and that's becoming very big, because it's now pretty obvious that Liu's getting the edge inside and Kristen's getting it outside. So, the longer the older woman is outside, the more points Stewart can rack up..."

Tess: "And the fewer of those body shots and short power hooks to the head she has to take."

O'Dell: "Good point. Both ladies getting some but not all of what they want as we head into the final seconds of the round, but it's Stewart holding the advantage. Kristen a good combination that stopped Lucy cold. Liu works inside, bangs a little body, but there's the bell. Close to Stewart."

Cassie: "All even at 38."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Stewart right back to that double-tap jab. Liu looking to time, pick off, slip forward. Stewart NAILS her with a right hand! That stopped Lucy cold and now Kristen coming forward, letting the hands go, backing up a surprised Lucy with some heavy shot. Liu on the back foot, Mac..."

McCarthy: "I don't think she's hurt. Legs look fine. Maybe a little buzzed."

O'Dell: "Kristen far more aggressive than we've seen her at any point in this bout, taking the fight to the older woman. Lucy in retreat, countering in spots, but not able to hold ground at the moment. GOOD combination from Kristen. Landed a couple of more hard shots in that flurry..."

Cassie: "We're seeing a combination of the best arrows in K-Stew's quiver, her accuracy and her above-the-weight power."

O'Dell: "Down to twenty seconds left in the fifth. Liu beginning to stabilize the front finally, but Kristen still landing hard, accurate stuff, piling up points as we head for the bell. Liu a nice combination there and Stewart responds with a HARD flurry and there's the bell. Wow. Big, big round for Kristen there..."

Tess: "And, she's in the lead 48-47 at the half."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "Sixth begins with Kristen setting back up at range. Not going to continue pushing forward. Instead, she's going to work to keep the distance she wants, and Lucy again will work forward, using the feet, keeping the hands high to ward off the accurate left jabs, angling past, working some body."

Cassie: "Lots of girls have tried this body stuff with Kristen, because she's a tall, lean fly. They usually find it takes a LOT of investment."

O'Dell: "No question, Kristen's proven to be plenty sturdy over the years, but Lucy going to test her, as she lathers the flanks before Stewart ties her up, shoves her off, gets back to range. Kristen very athletic, has the feet moving, but Lucy's just got such a great skill set to go with all that experience."

Tess: "Like you said earlier, Jenny, there aren't any tricks Lucy doesn't know."

O'Dell: "Coming down the stretch in a tight sixth round. Again, Liu in tight, working body. Kristen banging back, hooking some ribs, but mostly staying upstairs. Ladies tie up, Liu punches free, lands a solid left hook. Stewart responds with a hard right and there's the bell. Not a lot in it, but Lucy."

McCarthy: "And, we're even again, this time at 57."

ROUND SEVEN:

O'Dell: "Into the seventh, and, to no surprise, this has been a close fight. Both ladies showing plenty of skill and a lot of flexibility as they continue to adjust to one another on the fly. Liu again pressing the action. She may not be 25 anymore, but those legs are holding up just fine as she works forward on the younger fighter."

McCarthy: "I say it all the time. Nothin' but a number."

O'Dell: "Kristen again with the drop step, trying to create more space. Lucy fills that space quickly, goes to work inside, NAILING Stewart to the body. Kristen ties up, circles away. Lucy right back after her and STOPPED COLD BY A RIGHT HAND! Stewart steps to and LANDS A HARD FLURRY AND DOWN GOES LUCY!"

Cassie: "That straight right was the key. Unhinged those knees. Liu did well to stay up as long as she did."

O'Dell: "Lucy down on her left side as Kristen heads to a neutral corner. Count at three. Four. Five Six. Lucy getting to a sitting position at seven, looking up at the referee, trying to clear the head. Eight. Nine. Not going to make it. TEN and it's OVER! And your winner by KO7 is 'The Five-Tool Player', Kristen Stewart!"

Tess: "Not at ALL sure this result is the same if that's the 30-year-old Lucy Liu in there."

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore."

Tess: "I have our winner, Kristen Stewart, and, Kristen, good, tight bout most of the way."

Kristen: "I'm not surprised. She's a very, very good fighter. She can cause anybody problems in there, but I'm all about solving problems."

Tess: "There's talk around the FCBA that Jennette was brought in here to win the flyweight title...are you still the top fly at Front Street?"

Kristen: "I can't BELIEVE I have to answer this again. I've BEEN the top fly here since the day I signed. And, they can release all the girls they like and sign all the girls they like and that's not going to change."
