BEFORE: "Just because you've earned the Sports Illustrated swimsuit stripes, it doesn't mean you're ready to dismiss Brooklyn Decker's legacy in your second ever FCBA fight!", Erin Andrews seems to support the Ohio veteran in this clash of the two blondes that share everything but the boxing experience. Decker still hopes to become a valid welterweight threat after years spend one division below and Kostek is that new girl in town everyone talks about these days especially that she's a member of the famed 130+ lbs stable Bonzo's Gym. She secured a good win over another promising upstart Courtney Tailor back at the Northern Lights Ice Hotel PPV however Decker's resume warrants a different approach alltogether and the former New England Patriots cheerleader realizes that all too well.

Round 1:
Kostek is a natural welter here and jumps into a quick jabbing slant leaving the fellow blonde to duck away from the aerial bombs that come thick and fast as the SI newcomer displays that rookie exuberance during the initial tangle. Decker weaves around Kostek's assault but not fast enough and eats too many worrying shots straight through the middle which is a rare sight given her previous pedigree. However it looks like Camille truly believes she's ready to show the SI legend that things have changed lately and when she smacks the Ohio native with a left cross on the temple, Brooklyn's legs wobble visibly and allow Kostek to pierce her solar plexus with a vicious right. Ugh! The former lightweight champion bends forward but she fails to apply a clinch and eats another big punch on the chin that whips her onto the ropes. She doesn't move to the side in time so Kostek finds a drilling right hook on the nose AND SENDS DECKER TUMBLING DOWN within the sight of the bell! How about that! Raw power comes to the fore and Brooklyn crumbles underneath it despite all the warning signs. She gets back onto her feet at six and the bell sounds literally a couple of seconds later but that's one huge statement from the SI rookie right here!

Round 2:
Camille's in pursuit of a shocking upset now but Brooklyn hangs back in mid-range and survives the early push before working to the fellow blonde's body that finally slows the rookie's approach down. Camille still fires away upstairs and hopes to catch the SI veteran with another wild shot alas she can't quite split the Ohio guard anymore and settles for the artistic impression while keeping her foe dancing on her toes. Brooklyn nips through with some promising strikes from behind the guard but lacks outright precision and most of her efforts bounce off the high guard instead. Kostek tries to pin her onto the ropes one more time but runs out of time and even gets clinched late that doesn't seem like a pre-planned effort from the Lioness entourage.

Round 3:
Kostek's ready to resume the Decker stalking and the lightweight convert is forced to work from the back foot but she takes advantage of the rookie's tactical blunders and digs several punches straight between her mitts. Perhaps Camille's guilty of having too much faith in her performance following that early knockdown but she allows the older blonde to rattle her via a classic counter-punching route and her footwork doesn't seem to be offering much upside right now either. Brooklyn's still behind in sheer numbers but she stalls Kostek's progress and makes her guard suffer repeatedly here in the third before another clinch leads into an extended stalemate in the final minute. But this time it's the Connecticut native who seeks the respite.

Round 4:
More of the same in the fourth, Decker's supreme reach and agility allow her to work from the back foot while Kostek keeps coming forward but lacks the pace for the improved attire from her opponent. Brooklyn keeps striking through the chaotic aerial swings and Camille's raw skills begin to shine through her SI contract here but she holds her ground even when she gets clipped with a nasty hooking combo that makes the people inside the arena gasp for air. Camille responds with another jabbing frenzy and fends the veteran off but it's more like a controlled performance from Decker now while the younger blonde seems focused on that highlight KO haymaker according to Erin Andrews. We're up above 130 lbs so anything's possible - even another lenghty clinching ordeal where both women appear to be sizing up their bust size more than anything else.

Round 5:
Camille's forward push allows her to clip more of Decker's flesh but she remains that split second short of another meaningful haymaker. However Decker's post-knockdown recovery enables her to become a little more confident now and while Kostek keeps flashing her elite potential, she can't quite deliver more threat to upstage the former lightweight champion. The pouncing games continue throughout the round but the big punches are missing and even Erin Andrews thinks both blonde hellcats are simply in battery re-charge mode here which the crowd seems to understand as well.

Round 6:
Decker blinks first and nails Kostek with a wild overhand while the younger blonde tries to blast her right in point-blank range but misses and eats a vicious hook on the jaw instead. She drops to her heels and suddenly Decker lifts her boobs from the south while scything her across the lips on top of that. Camille gets bullied onto the ropes as she fails to embrace the veteran's agile switch and gets overwhelmed in the subsequent leather tirade with Brooklyn picking her off repeatedly. Another nasty hook files in on the nose to spin the former cheerleader to the side with a whimper but when another blow pierces her solar plexus, she seems genuinely HURT and just bellows out onto the ropes with Decker blowing the cleavage up and rendering the girl into punchbag dummy mode. Ugh! It's as tough as it gets for Camille now but Brooklyn has no mercy for her whatsoever and shuts her down when she blasts more punches on the exposed chin. Ugh! Kostek's knees wobble one more time and she gets nuked with another brutal left hook on the eye that almost throws her out of the ring alltogether!!! Brooklyn goes in on the solar plexus HARD one more time and the SI newcomer's loud whimpers FORCE THE REF TO STOP IN AND HALT THE BEATING!!! Ugh! That seemed to favor the veteran but Kostek was locked out for almost a full minute now and can barely catch her breath anymore before stumbling back to her corner. TKO6 Brooklyn Decker!!!

AFTER: This fight might prove why Brooklyn's attempt to invade the welters isn't destined for immediate success like it could have been the case three or four years ago. Even Sports Illustrated rookies are genuine contenders now and Camille Kostek should have plenty of opportunities to steer her ship right into the elite path yet. She almost blew one of the legends of the swimsuit genre out of the water inside the opening round and Erin Andrews reckons that would have killed any hopes Decker had for a welterweight title campaign. She dodged a huge bullet before storming back to bury Kostek's chances with a ruthless display in the sixth but there's a feeling inside the area that the Lioness camp won't be exactly chuffed over this performance. Either this or Cassidy Freeman's title shot has truly affected Decker's preparations for this PPV.
