Michelle Williams vs. Michelle Keegan(Words: Front Street / Results: Lookout!)

BEFORE:

Former BBU flyweight champ stepping up to Hall of Famer Mishy after recent tough losses to Lily Collins and Miley Cyrus almost certain to lead to a clash of styles. Keegan is nothing if not a physical flyweight, while Mishy's all about boxing and taking girls apart piece by piece. And, if the brunette's worried about that, well, she's not letting on. "Yeah, Michelle's a Hall of Famer," says Keegan with that devastating smile. "But, that just means her scalp will look that much better when I claim it."

"Keegan's exactly what's WRONG with the FCBA," says a dismissive Williams. "Nothing but a no-talent getting fights based on the contents of her bra. I HATE girls like her. Which is going to make beating her face in even MORE fun."

ROUND ONE:

Blonde looking to establish the jab early, but brunette having none of it. She's damning any and all torpedoes and walking forward to close on Mishy and bang with her. Williams doesn't really WANT to play this game, but she does, banging back with, working some body with short, accurate shot, making the brunette pay for her intransigence. But, the Brit is willing to pay that price. She wants to get physical here, and that's exactly what she's doing, hammering body, leveraging, shoving Mishy around, not letting the older woman get her feet set. It's not exactly sloppy, but it's far from anything you'd see in the textbook. It works, however, for Ms. Keegan, who's, despite determined resistance from the blonde, getting the better of things. Final seconds sees the Hall of Famer put a headlock on the Brit in a clinch...and refuse to release it until the referee peels it off. Bell ensues followed by a shoving match that forces the ref between the fighters. But, when the sound and fury have ended, it's Keegan in the first.

ROUND TWO:

Brunette has a game plan here, and she's sticking with it. The idea is to get as physical as possible with Mishy to negate the blonde's edges in skill and experience, and it's working like a charm. Williams getting shoved, leveraged, wrestled as the Brit works her body, then goes back to the head. Older woman simply unable to get much going offensively. She's spending all her time trying to set her feet and get the geometry where she wants it. Keegan taking more and more control as the round goes on, landing some good, solid head shots that force Williams to cover up in the late going. As the bell approaches, the brunette lets the hands go, backing up Williams with a series of hard combinations that leave the Hall of Famer covering up at the bell. Unlike the last round, this one isn't competitive at all. It's all Keegan, who's now up 20-18.

ROUND THREE:

Keegan right back to work early, walking through Mishy, crowding, banging, roughhousing...GETTING ROCKED! A short uppercut from Mishy catches the brunette as she's ducking her head and sends her stumbling backward. And the blonde is immediately all in, driving the brunette back into the ropes and having at her. Keegan taking loads of heavy leather as the Hall of Famer puts on a clinic, finding every single hole in the Brit's defenses and filling it with leather, working over not just the head, but the midsection and then the rack as well. Keegan in dire straits, clinching when she can, jabbing back in spots, but mostly holding on and willing the end of the round to arrive. Older woman, meanwhile, using every available second to add to the punishment. She's not able to finish the brunette, but she leaves her scuffed and wobbly at the bell and wins the round wide, cutting the Keegan lead to 29-28.

ROUND FOUR:

Brunette on the defensive early. She's not coming forward, instead, staying at range, where Mishy can get her box on. Doesn't go well for Keegan. She's game, willing to fire back, box with, but there's, basically, no one in the division that can do this with Michelle Williams and come out on top. No, the blonde isn't as quick as she used to be, but, she makes up for that with skill honed by years of experience and more than 200 FCBA fights. Williams has seen it all and done it all and she knows exactly how to take a girl apart. And, that's exactly what she does to the poor brunette. Keegan takes an absolute thrashing from the first seconds of the round to the last. She's never staggered, never buzzed, never anywhere near going down. She's just taking a ton of punishment to the head and body for three solid minutes. And, when those minutes, mercifully, come to an end, Williams has thrown a shutout and evened the fight at 38.

ROUND FIVE:

Keegan showing more hop in the step despite the previous round. Legs seem to have shaken off the damage from that third-round uppie, and that's allowing the brunette to get more aggressive, close and bang again. Williams handling it better now, though, she's getting distance with a combination of good footwork and an accurate left jab. Sometimes. Other times, the brunette's able to crowd her and work body. And, the result is a round that's all about terms and who's got the ones they want. When it's Williams, she's scoring with both hands and running up points. When it's Keegan, she's banging inside, leveraging, wrestling with Mishy, getting her out of rhythm. And, as both fighters are only able to get what they want in spots, it's a close, two-way round the entire way. At the bell, there's not a lot in it, but it's Williams who grabs the points for the third round in a row and takes her first lead, 48-47.

ROUND SIX:

Same again, Keegan working to bring the physical, Mishy working to create opportunities for the technical. Briefly. BOOM! Another uppercut, this one from the brunette and WILLIAMS IS HURT! Hall of Famer staggers, nearly goes down and the Brit goes all in. Keegan winging everything in the arsenal at the listing blonde, trying to take her out of here. Williams in desperate shape, giving ground, wobbling, looking ready to go at any second. Keegan's on the cusp here and she knows it. She forces Mishy to the ropes and has at her, digging a little body, but mostly working upstairs, throwing bombs looking to cut the power completely. Williams hanging on grimly, guard high, rolling with, doing just enough to prevent the ref from leaping in. Final seconds see a final blizzard of punches from Keegan, but Williams holds on to the bell. But, the Brit's pitched a shutout and evened the fight at 57.

ROUND SEVEN:

Keegan picks up right where she left off. Mishy quickly backed to the ropes in a high guard, taking as the brunette gets off lusty, winging away with...BOOM! Keegan's HURT! It's spider and fly stuff from Williams who baits the Brit into a brutal right hand counter that leaves her all wobbly-butt! And now the Hall of Famer EXPLODES off the ropes and lets the hands go, driving all before her. Brunette reeling, looking ready to go, finally ends up on the ropes, which might be the only things holding her up. Blonde viciously attacking now, REEFING hard shot to both head and body, looking to send the reeling HMS Keegan under for good. But, the brunette tenaciously hangs on, keeps the guard up, ships the shot, fires back in spots. She's taking a licking, but she continues ticking despite the best efforts of the older woman. At the bell, Keegan's still standing, but it's Mishy wide and back on the lead 67-66.

ROUND EIGHT:

Williams after Keegan immediately. She's got the younger woman on the ropes, figuratively, and she wants to finish her right now. It's brilliant, clinical stuff from the blonde, who works both hands, sets up her punches, keeps the brunette on the back foot and on the defensive. Brit tries to get back into it, countering in spots, trying to stabilize her front, but the Hall of Famer keeps her in retreat, and keeps piling up the points and the hurt. Minute and a half in. Straight right from Mishy and Keegan is HURT! Brit staggers, nearly goes down, EATS a right hook and BRUNETTE GIRL DOWN! Keegan spills to her back, arms spread, as Mishy, knowing exactly what she's done, dismissively steps over the lovely, KOed form of her rival to get to a neutral corner. Referee counts, but it's a formality. Keegan is OUT, and it's OVER, and your winner by KO8 is Michelle Williams!

AFTER:

Mishy hard-eyed in the post-fight. "These GIRLS," she says haughtily. "They aren't women, just GIRLS, who have no talent. The FCBA should be ASHAMED of itself putting them in a ring with a WOMAN like me. Ashamed. But, if the federation won't DO anything about people like this, well. I guess I'LL have to do something about it. Because, as long as Michelle Williams is around, no-talents like Keegan aren't going to do anything more than lie at my FEET."
