Romee’s been flying under the radar for a bit, but she’s certainly hoping to emulate the success of role models like Hannah Ferguson or Karlie Kloss…the fact that one of the absolute top stables at the weight, the Lioness Club of America, has got her signed for a potential future contract backs up her claims, though. She can claim a whacking KO1 of Brooke Hogan among her scalps, but lost to Kate Bock in the semis of the 2017 New Blood Welter Tourney and to Adriana Lima in the quarters of the VS War in Heaven Tourney. Romee was last seen beating tennis star Ana Ivanovic in March. Despite upset losses to other supermodels, Amanda’s last month’s impressive knockout of Kate Upton makes Romee a huge underdog against her opponent Righetti…what can Romee do? “Oh, there’s lots I can do. Let’s see how she handles my six¬-footer’s jab when it spruces up that face. I’ve got the reach and range to walk her into my right hands all night long. Is Mandy going to like that? Let’s ask her after a couple rounds, if she’s still there with me, I mean.” – “Romee’s run of the mill,” Righetti responds in sober confidence, last month’s Upton revenge having brought her back into the No. 1 contender spot at Boxing World . “With some of their peers breaking through, now every dime-a-dozen blonde wants to become welterweight champion. It’s my job to shut out these fantasies for good, before girls get all cocky.”

R1: Strijd forming tall outside stance early, dictating an educated, long-reaching lefty jab towards smaller Righetti’s face, guard, attempting to lope strides around the redhead…she’s able to stay one step ahead of ‘Manda this way, keeping Righetti’s upper torso, head, feet in motion as her left tries to pick her up. Righetti alert, quick, bobbin’ from range, keeping a very tight guard to feel out Romee’s punching power…Strijd brazen, authoritative at times, jump-punchin’ the left into Amanda’s torso, chest, but not strong enough to shift Righetti off her stance, position. Rigs doesn’t reach Romee via jabs most of round, feinting, dropping the lefts – some strong effective counters from redhead, though, when Strijd herself pitches inside, picking out thumping comeback hooks across the Dutch’s arms or flanks, motivating the blonde to stride back out immediately. Strijd’s left a flush, high-rhythmic, sinewy punch: she’s able to work the range, manage the ring with it, but it doesn’t appear strong enough to do serious damage against ‘Manda – no proper rights from Romee yet, no fast-handed combinations – it’s the active jab that gets Strijd her points this round, allowing her to make Righetti move her feet all around the ring, while Amanda’s safe behind her brawny guard and on her supple legs, just not yet willing to invest more against Romee’s rhythm this round.

R2: Amanda puts her foot down, steps on the gas in slap-bang fashion from the bell – she’s driving straight thick jabs thru the middle to neck/tits, and starts pulling the right hand behind ‘em. Strijd back-pedals in hasty fashion, attempting to keep in play via the long-jab, but ‘Manda works around them, walking thru the occasional Romee punch between the mitts, putting pressure, pressure, pressure on her blonde. Romee still fast-legged, active via the left, but Righetti’s relentless, working from a mobile always-be-touchin’ stance, her head/torso always rolling in motion as her mitts spank Strijd’s body all over. Romee not reading Amanda’s left-hand motions very well, ends up walking into feinted punches, all grinding poke bashing into her teeth/cheeks/jaw...Strijd’s legs save blonde, but she’s on her back foot all round long as ‘Manda closes distance, pumps ‘em home. No fancy risks from Righetti yet – she’s content to punch Romee busy via the jab, test out some right hooks, but won’t settle into ropeside sieges at this point. Righetti’s leaned-in lefty hooks to the tummy/boobs particularly cruel, effective down the stretch, a right-hand-to-mouth bashing Strijd’s head queasy late all unhinging lithe blonde’s body, but Rigs still reverts to regular stance, allowing Romee to regroup, wander back into ‘Manda’s left’s range. Bell: Romee’s a little dazed, her mouth open…she’s spent this round running and gettin’ hit.

R3: Strijd returns a little more aggressive, trying to pre-empt Righetti’s jab dominance via her own left…first-minute tauter, more fiercely contested as a result. Long-armed reach by tall Dutch blonde makes her competitive here – Righetti’s all compact, bendy, tightly-guarded, but the lefty jab’s irritating her, and Amanda actually walks into some nicely configurated, timed hooks when she misjudges Romee’s reach, range! Hidden power, joint impact of Romee’s constant limber slaps now felt by Righetti…slap, slap mouth punches force her onto heels and into retreat at some point. Right uppercut counter, Righetti! Strijd just settles into more familiar rangy stance when ‘Manda overwhelms her, leaning in to feint a long-jab, and walking Romee into the hip-powered right to the temple instead! Romee’s dished, that one-punch power turning her into a rubbery-legged beauty: all ‘Manda from there…she’s extending via the left against Strijd’s guard, neck, tits, brutal right hooks bashing into the left side of Romee’s face, jack-hammering style. Strijd’s lean back duly hits ropes…Amanda looms in her preferred range, the textbook jab exacting obedience from blonde girl as she clobbers away across blonde’s frame. Romee proves her durable stamina down the stretch…she’s a wincing, wobbly beauty at the bell, but those sleek legs keeps her upright throughout the beatdown.

R4: Strijd mounts a gutsy offensive after last round’s pummeling: Righetti’s on the bob, all set up in tight, supple fashion, with the taller Romee whipping those lefts all over the place, lunging ahead into rat-a-tat fire at ‘Manda’s frame…Righetti’s startled, stepping left and right, regrouping but misjudging reach again, and Romee whiplashes her the jab, jab to mouth, and the lefty uppercut to boot! Righetti groans, reforming her stance a little stiff as she’s stomping on the spot…greedy, pouncing Strijd sucks her the left hook, and sucks her the right hook to redhead flanks in thumping fashion. Amanda answers via jabs off the shoulder, hopping out of range, but getting caught by Romee’s luuunnging left again…takes Righetti solid two minutes to readjust, form proper ranges/stances to spook Romee via own aggressive, precise jab again…lots of whippin’, oooh-in’, aaah-in flankwork from blonde girl until then! Amanda wide-eyed, alert, but not alarmed…she settles into defense mode at blonde’s brazen comeback, brawny guard slowly stabilizing, her legs now carrying her away from harm…nice, effective look for blonde underdog, though, sees her feeding Righetti the long, rangy jabs like a pro. Dutch resistance: Romee takes the points wide in her best round yet.

R5: Righetti responds to Strijd’s stubbornness with a show of force, piling on the pressure via strong, rhythmic, faster jabs, bashing into Romee’s rack in lumberjack fashion, pinching the lighter blonde girl back inches at a time – Romee struggles with the weight of shot, toiling to hold her ground/stance at the brutality, but still slapping back those nimble, wafting lefts herself. Stunning lefty uppercut plummets to Romee’s mouth with oomph…blonde girl trades back, though, slapping repeated whipping jabs to ‘Manda’s mouth, jawline. First proper toe-to-toe trade ensues as a result, and Romee’s catching Rigs some flush to the chin, flush to the mouth…’Manda still presses forward via rising body hooks to tits/biceps, leaning into her right uppercuts, pumping straight jabs through the middle…thumping action hitting Dutch blonde big, but she’s still slapping ‘em back like a trooper! Sweet combination, Romee, mid-round: the lefty jabs up top prep the straight-right to tits, the right hook to jawline closing off…she’s got Big Rigs forming earmuff, backpedalling! Strijd stalk-steps with her, the extended left pumping – but Righetti answers impressively via hammering spank to left side of Romee’s face, wide vicious bashes into supermodel skull, dropping blonde all loose into ‘Manda’s big-girl clinch. Strijd not built for that kinda power, but she struggles to hold, use her reach, height to push forward…on separation, Romee clips Amanda the extended left to teeth, grinning at Righetti’s anger. Down the stretch, ‘Manda’s battled back on top, whipping the blonde her wide, thumping hooks across the frame, flanks at ropeside…Strijd BLASTED, but she’s still upright and pretty defiant at the bell.

R6: Righetti jolts into pounding jabs beneath Strijd’s eyes, towards her mouth…Romee turnin’, bobbin’ backwards, with ‘Manda’s left keeping her firmly shut out at the end of her poke. Righetti dominant, stepping/punching into left flank of Romee’s while pivoting out of Strijd’s own laxer lefts, dictating via the rotating, chopping jabwork now! Whacking hooks in behind Romee’s elbows soften up blonde’s legs, as Righetti pounces, pivots out smoothly, snapping her blonde across the flanks…Strijd still attempts to step-with, counter early, but mostly staying crossed-armed at Righetti’s tappin’, throbbin’ pressure as ‘Manda finds her range, managing Strijd’s counter jabs via good head movements. First minute closing…Righetti’s palming shoulders now, getting pushy, stepping closer…a rippin’ hook sequence across the gut pummels Romee breathless, sees her groaning as the extended, powerful right uppercut into rack falters the blonde off her stance. Right hand flash! Amanda’s right cross to jaw getting thru…a stiff, hurt Romee’s baby-stepping away, her head slack, hands loose…the Righeti right hand uppercut TOSSES to Romee’s jaw again! Blonde eyes stare in blank fashion…delayed flopping reaction crashes supermodel onto her back in hard canvas thud! Her hands above her head, the blonde beauty’s moaning, torso too stiff, paralyzed to rise…that’s a routine KO6 Amanda Righetti!

After: Strijd proves a tough, chewy model, taking Big Rigs to the sixth round via an effective tall-girl jab, but she was never as dangerous as the blonde’s better peers…when Righetti tightened the heat, Romee couldn’t follow. ‘Manda making sure Romee’s all right…supermodel blonde’s face all banged up, legs rickety as she accepts Righetti’s short hug. “I think we know now who’s proper elite among the Victoria’s Secret, Sports Illustrated girls and who simply isn’t”, Amanda says post-fight. “They have an endless reservoir of hot beautiful girls, but their quality’s much scarcer when it comes to fightin’.” What does Righetti think about the title picture? “I gotta admit Tahnee’s title run is developing pretty impressively. She’s already scored more defenses than we’ve seen at welter in a while, and that’s no small feat. I mean, I’m always here and ready. Let’s see whether Alice can surprise her later tonight.”
