Intro:
Tonight sees two bantamweight legends go to war, Summer Glau fights in her home state of Texas in the Toyota Center in Houston against Evangeline Lilly.
Summer is 37 years old; she stands 5'6 and holds a record of 24 wins, 12 by knockout and 30 defeats, she is a former FCBA bantamweight champion.
Evangeline just recently turned 39 years old, she stands 5'5 and holds a record of 45 wins, 22 by knockout, 30 defeats and 2 draws, she is a former 6 time FCBA bantamweight champion.
These two have fought before; all the way back in 2010, Evangeline came out on top with a knockout to keep the bantamweight title.
The fighters were interviewed in the build up to the fight separately on the FCBA network, Lucy Liu hosting the interviews with the women.
Summer told Lucy "I respect Evangeline a lot, you don't become a 6 time champion if you are not special right?"
Looking serious; Summer adds "but I have unfinished with her, the fact that she is coming to my back yard makes the advantage mine, all the fans and my family that are coming to watch me will give me the strength to even the score between us"
When Evangeline speaks to Lucy, she is looking her confident self as she says "I took this fight as a tune up in my eyes, Summer is a classy fighter but one I have already worked out before"
She states to Lucy "as you know, my goal is to be a hall of famer, my accolades speak for themselves but I need the magic one hundred fights and sixty wins to enter, I am twenty three fights away from that goal"
She smiles as she continues "I won't be proud of reaching that goal without testing myself, so my agent is trying to line up girls I think will continue to prove why I am the legend and why even now, you should be afraid to fight me"
Fight night; out comes Summer first to a loud roar from her fans, she jogs to the ring with a big smile on her face, so happy to be fighting in her home state.
She is wearing a silver sports bra, silver trunks with a bulls head design on the left leg, black gloves and silver shoes, while her hair is in a ponytail.
Getting into the ring; Summer blows kisses to the crowd as she goes for a lap inside the ring, stopping once she reaches her corner to warm up.
Now out comes Evangeline; she gets a colder reception from the fans, not to say she hasn't got any as her fans chant for her, just nowhere near the noise of her opponents supporters of course.
She doesn't look fazed one bit; instead her expression looks all business as she heads down the aisle to the ring, eyes locked onto the ring itself.
Her attire is a black sports bra with white trim, black trunks with white strips down the side, blacks gloves and shoes, with her hair braided.
Getting into the ring; she doesn't bother waving or doing much for the crowds benefit, just jogging to her corner and limbering up with her coaches help.
Soon the fighters are waved to join the referee at the center of the ring, when they do come face to face, the tension is clear for all to see between them, eyes locked in staredown as the crowd chants Summers name, making her grin at the cold faced Evangeline.
The fighters are told to touch gloves, slamming them together; both women nod at the other as they know they won't be satisfied with anything less then a knockout.
Getting to their corners and getting any last second instructions from their coaches, they both nod they are ready to begin 10 rounds of bantamweight action.

Round 1:
"Ding" out come the fighters with both testing the waters out at first with their jabs, measuring up for their bigger punches as they move around each other.
Summer dodges out the way of a right cross and counters with a double jab onto the nose of Evangeline, trying to keep the distance between them as she let's Evangeline hunt her down.
The Texan dips under a right to dig away to the body, forcing Evangeline to step back; Summer looks to keep the pressure on her opponent, throwing head hunting punches to make Evangeline to keep her guard tight.
Evangeline manages to deflect a straight and lands a right of her own to the ribs of her opponent.
With Evangeline keeping in tight to Summer, forcing the crowd favourite to trade in close, Summer looks to be struggling to match the intensity of her older opponent, as Evangeline works away to the body.
Instead she has to give Lilly a shove with her left forearm under the chest, then Glau lands a right across the face of her opponent.
The crowd look delighted as Summer finishes the round strongly by keeping Evangeline behind her gloves, throwing her punches towards the head of Evangeline, then switching to the body after she dips under a counter right.
The bell rings to end the round, Summer smiling as she heads to her corner, the crowd chanting for her they try to give her all the help they can.
Round 2:
Summer looks to build off the opening round, continuing to dance around Evangeline and use rangy punches, looking to frustrate her opponent.
But Evangeline looks to be moving her head more, slipping under a straight and landing an overhand right that turns Sumners head to the side.
The crowd booing as Summer is bullied onto the ropes, Evangeline head down as she works the body with hooks slamming into the sides.
Summer latches onto Evangeline in a tight clinch, the referee forced to step in as Summer clearly has a gameplan to neutralize her opponent.
Evangeline doesn't look interested in her games, getting straight back to work as she keeps close to Summer, forcing her to trade more as she keeps her aimed to the ropes.
After deflecting a jab; Evangeline slams a left cross up top, then rams two rights into the abs of Glau to make her gasp out.
With late in the round both women slamming punches across the others cheeks, Evangeline slams two punches straight into the face of Summer just as the bell rings to end the round.
Evangeline ignores the crowd as she jogs to her corner, Summer staring at the ceiling of the arena and can be seen mumbling to herself, annoyed that she got pushed around.
Round 3:
Both women moving and trading single punches, Summer stepping back early to dodge a right hook, counters with a left and right straight onto the face of Evangeline.
Summer looks to get her rhythm going again as she uses her dance training to move and dodge Evangeline, sending straight punches left in the gaps in her opponents defence to land to her face.
The control of the fight is back with the local favourite, Summer annoying Evangeline with her punches catching the older woman on her face to knock her head back.
But when Summer tries to step in with a straight, Evangeline parried it and lands an uppercut that rocks the head back of Glau.
Making Summer cover up as Evangeline gets in her face, pushing her towards the ropes with her left and going back to the body, hammering away at her abs as Summer can be seen gasping.
Holding onto Evangeline; Summer can be seen looking at her coach, maybe getting worried as the referee steps in to split them up.
Once the action resumes; Summer manages to keep the action at distance as the round is coming to a close, with both women landing stiff shots to mark the others face up.
The round ends with Summer heard to be saying to her coach "I wish it was simple to keep her off me" with her coach telling her to be confident, she is outboxing Evangeline on the outside, keep doing it.
In the opposite corner; Evangeline looks relaxed as she sits and chats with her coach, her face is showing a few marks but she seems happy with the situation so far.
Round 4:
Evangeline looks to up the tempo judging by the speed she comes out her corner, taking the ring center and herding the younger woman to the outside of the ring after landing two straight punches to knock her head back.
Summer is trying to use her footwork to make Evangeline make a mistake, moving side to side and trading jabs with her.
The issue for Summer is that Evangeline looks to have a laser sight on her, she keeps facing towards her as she moves.
Till Summer decides to try to surprise her with a right hook; it sails over the dipping Evangeline's head, Evangeline replies with a left hook under the ribs and follows with a right on the liver area of Summer.
Who cries out in agony and grabs onto Evangeline, who tries to shove off Summer and ends up knocking her to her backside, the crowd breath a sigh of relief when the referee rules it a slip.
But it is clear that Summer is hurt; she is trying to fight off the back foot, throwing out punches from behind her guard to ward her opponent back.
Evangeline though parries it away and steps inside to knock Summer back with two punches snapping her head back.
Summer can be seen leaning on the ropes as Evangeline works away on her body, the bell rings to end the round with the crowd looking worried.
Evangeline jogs over to her corner, while Summer can be seen breathing hard and holding her stomach as her coach does their best to numb the pain.
Round 5:
Summer does head out her corner, though it is clear pride might be the only thing pushing her as she steps out to fight.
Evangeline pushes forwards with no mercy as she parries the weak jab away, STEPPING INSIDE TO LAND TO THE BODY REPEATEDLY TILL SUMMER FALLS TO ALL FOURS!
The crowd boo as Summer has tears in her eyes, 1...2...3 spitting out her gumshield 4...5...6...7 Summer rolls to her side and cradles her stomach 8...9...10 and is counted out!

Winner Evangeline Lilly KO Round 5

After:
Evangeline with a dominant performance tonight as a reminder that she is still one of the women to beat in the FCBA.
While Summer is helped to sit up; she looks utterly depressed by this result as she wipes tears from her eyes, the fans still chant for her to try and make her feel better.
Sitting on her stool after getting her breath somewhat back, Summer gives a wave to the fans after her gloves are taken off.
Evangeline even goes to check on her, a show of respect as they shake hands, Summer can be heard admitting "you whooped me tonight"
Summer leaves the ring to a round of applause for her efforts, her coach needing to help her back up the aisle to the locker room.
In the ring Evangeline gets her hand raised to a respectful cheer, she nods in reply as she waves to the fans and soon heads out the ring herself.
The story of Evangeline trying to earn her way into the hall of fame will continue to be an interesting story to follow, will she achieve one of the last mountains left to scale in her career?
