4. Guests: Emily DiDonato vs Hannah Davis (Welterweight)

BEFORE:
We’re cutting live to Santa Monica beach for this next match of the evening, miles away for a very special guest bout on our card, that sees Emily DiDonato face off against fan favorite, Hannah Davis. The lit-up beach is thronged with random passers-by, with a makeshift ring erected on the sand dunes: four wooden posts illuminated by candle-lit tiki torches. It’s almost romantic, if it weren’t for the fact that these girls are about to throw down and brawl instead of kiss and make up.

A surge of hope most recently as both ladies *almost* getting themselves some much needed representation in the form of new stables willing to sign them on. Unfortunately, that short spark turning out to be nothing more than a whimper, and six months later, both girls seem to be back to where they started: clamoring for fights and disillusioned, to some extent.

“It’s disappointing to have a contract fall through,” Davis first to chime in by the ring-side, drawing hoots from the crowd as she disrobes at the same time, revealing her black bikini and red gloves. “If it’s any consolation, I’d bet my phone will be ringing off the hook once I take Emily down tonight.”

At the other end of the dunes, Emily DiDonato begging to differ, preparing herself for the fight tonight as she sensually removes a white shawl, revealing that tantalizing blue bikini and black gloves.

“I haven’t won a fight yet, but what better way than to beat Hannah down tonight at the same time? Like Tess said, my opponents have been top tier fighters, and Davis is anything but…”

This match-up just getting more and more interesting and well-worth watching: Emily needing to get her first win of her career, whereas Davis just looking to chew her up on the beach tonight. 

No more time for comments now once they get into the ring and face-off in the middle: steady stare into each other’s eyes as the referee does his final preparations and orders them to touch gloves, which they reluctantly do. Hold onto your bladders, because here we go with ten rounds of Welterweight action!

ROUND 1:
Heavy-hitters getting right down to it: both girls meeting in the middle and swing at each other right away! The sand starts flying as it’s thrown up and about by messy footwork: it’s difficult to maintain balance on such uneven ground as it is, but one girl driving the other back with some big punches to the guard and body, then the other begins attacking back, shoving the first fighter backwards in a tight clinch. The ring’s looking less and less like a ring as the first round devolves into a semi-wrestling match, with both girls determined to gain a foothold over the other and end up sending short punches into the sides, boobs and faces. Hannah the perpetrator and culprit early, wrapping both arms around Emily’s chest, then taking every opportunity to dig her gloves into the girl’s ribs and off the side of thigh. Round ends and the referee forces the separation between them, but not without Emily shouting curses at Hannah’s direction for not fighting too fairly, to which Davis merely smirks as she heads back to her corner, more or less confirming her nasty intentions of getting close and dirty.

ROUND 2:
Both these girls relatively rookies, of course, but that’s what makes their face-off tonight all the more compelling. They still have some tricks up their sleeves though, Hannah kicking up sand in Emily’s direction as she strides forward, hoping to surprise the big girl. But the brunette model holding her ground, even side-stepping the charging vixen, who misses with a right cross by a mile. Emily beams with anticipation as she goes to work on Hannah’s face, taking great pleasure in swiping the cheek left, then right, before the third one’s finally absorbed by the raised guard. Still, Dido burying mitts into her body instead puh puh puh, but her satisfaction wiped off her own lips as well, when Hannah punches back with a quick flurry into her nostrils and lips, before a snap uppercut lands on the base of her chin and sends her almost tumbling backwards into the sand! Nope - those hastily put together ring ropes managing to just save Emily from an early knockdown and lots of humiliation, but we’re seeing the second round go to neither of these two women as the bell rings to end it from getting decisive.

ROUND 3:
Hannah Davis certainly entering this fight the clear favorite of pundits and spectators alike, and you can see why: the strawberry blonde looks like the perfect combination of brawn and agility, her toned body showing off her postnatal figure: one that you’d never been able to guess in the first place. She’s hounding Emily with a steady jab-jab-jab, closing distance and tightening the web a little bit at at a time. Emily struggling to keep up, her body fit for Sports Illustrated, for sure, but a little too well-built for evasion, making her sluggish and absorbent in the ring. She groans as another pair of leather packs into her tummy, before Emily suddenly decides to stand her ground, feet planted firm into the sand then SWINGING a hook back, hoping for the best! Hannah lets out a yelp as the punch lands clean on the side of her head, rattling her bad! 

Hannah ducking her head to avoid another wild swing, although we suspect the dizziness aiding her along for that. Before Emily can land the knockout blow, Hannah surging under again with arms around the brunette’s waist and chest, hoping to save herself. They end up in another wrestling clinch, bodies and hips pushing and shoving into each other as they shuffle back and forth on the sand.

Emily growling into matted hair, eagerly exerting her slightly bigger frame on Davis and driving her back to the ropes. Too late though - referee moves in to separate the two girls when the bell rings to end the third. Emily clearly taking the round, despite regretting not being able to put Hannah down when she could have.

ROUND 4:
What can we say - Emily DiDonato’s certainly a specimen worth exploring as well. If only she hadn’t lost her first fights to such well-established girls in the division, she might have become a force to be reckoned by this point… just not today, apparently. Hannah looking ready to brawl despite the shellacking she received in the previous round, steady hands shooting in and out as Emily decides to close distance and see how their last encounter will pay off eventually. Certainly it’s not the strategy that Davis is accustomed to, expecting the keep the brunette an arm’s bay, and the fact that Emily doesn’t seem very fazed by the barrage of punches aimed at her head is also cause for concern. DiDonato taking most of the punches on her guard anyways, and those that smack into her body just collateral damage, she tells herself. Instead, she’s after her true prize: Hannah’s eyes widening with shock as a hook SWIPES into her cheek out of nowhere, with the blonde foolish enough to let her adversary get in that close. UGHH again from her lips as she goes stumbling left, can’t stop the follow-up punches into her body and a few more grazing the lips as she attempts to cover up wildly. Thankfully for her, it’s already the last few seconds of the round, with Dido squeezing a few more shots into her belly in close quarters, but has to disengage when the bell rings on her parade and she’s led away by the referee. Hannah’s round STILL just out of pure quantity of shots landed despite that late offensive from DiDonato. But SURELY this looks like a turning point for one woman?

ROUND 5:
Sure enough, that beating last round makes Hannah Davis cautious as she comes out of her corner in the fifth, her body still aching from the abuse. Emily may be a little slow, but BOY can she pack a punch, as she just found out the hard way. DiDonato also smart, refusing to charge in immediately even though she knows that she has to do more to turn the tide in her favor. Instead, she throws the occasional big hook in Hannah’s direction, frightening her backwards and herding her back into the corner. Before she knows it, Hannah’s fending off hooks thrown at her left and right and center, Emily in her face and seeing the chance to put her face-down in the sand. A particularly nasty left digs into her ribs, sending Hannah surging forward to clinch up again. Not if DiDonato can help it this time though - she’s keeping the blonde pinned to the ropes with her own voluptuous body, one hand in between them for just enough space to punish her further… Hannah groaning as she’s battered with more shots into her belly all the way to the bell, Emily just burying leather into the paunch, and occasionally rattling her upstairs. But by the end of three minutes, Emily still left without purchase, however: Hannah butt in between the ropes, on her last legs, but on her last legs still. Only consolation is her victim draped over her in her arms, mouth sucking air on her shoulder and arms holding onto her shoulders for support.

ROUND 6:
Hannah seems to be fading fast, both in spirit and strength. The sound of the waves crashing into the shoreline in the distance mask her still-heavy breathing as she loses her luster and fighting will, backing off as soon as Emily starts herding her into the splash zone. To her credit, Davis is still punching at her with occasional strikes, but Emily gotten her rhythm down pat, finding her true calling as a brawler who enjoys dominating once she gets in close. Another mistake by Davis as the uneven sand makes her lose her footing and she almost trips over herself. Immediately, Emily’s back in her face where she feels right at home, swinging away hooks to the head and of course, unadulteratedly into the body. Hannah with nowhere to go but forward, weakly punts some punches into Emily’s abs, but it only infuriates the brunette further, who SLAMS her hips into Hannah’s and driving her body straight into the ropes with a HOOF of air from her lungs. Hannah more or less done for by this point, arms draped on either side of the ropes as she struggles to even stay standing, but for some reason, her corner still not throwing in the towel, and even the referee seems eager for Emily to go to town on her further. Hannah getting blown left and right, hooks battering her guard with greater and greater ferocity. Frustrated that Hannah’s guard still intact, though barely, DiDonato once more targets the body, swiping leather down low as she treats her like her personal punching bag. After the sixth such blow to the tummy, Hannah all but sinks forward, about to collapse to her knees and go down for good, but that pesky bell has to ring right before her knees touch the ground. Round’s over folks, and it looks like we’re going the distance with this one. Emily already looking like she’s won, smirking down at Hannah’s blubbering face stuck close to one of her thighs, as she shakes the poor girl off her like an unwanted pest, before heading back to corner. Hannah has to be helped back to her side of the ring, and we’re not sure if she can even last another round in this condition...

ROUND 7:
It’s a valiant attempt from Davis as she still makes it off her stool, but we certainly wonder whether it would be best for her to just stay there. She fires off some half-hearted jabs at Emily’s direction, before getting her arms swatted away like they were mere chicken wings, then a BLAST of a straight hand from DiDonato sails pass the guard and lands square on her nostrils! Hot liquid starts flowing down Hannah’s lips as she realises she’s bleeding a small trickle, the abuse too much for her body to bear. Her back once more on the ropes, her first step forward is her last, as Emily again rushes in to try and put her down. Already swaying on her feet, it’s easy mop-up work as Emily shoves her wayward arms away, then lands a perfect uppercut up into the jawline, and Hannah Davis CRUMPLES down in a heap at last! Referee takes one look at the knocked out princess and finally decides to end her suffering!

Official Decision: Emily DiDonato defeats Hannah Davis via KO7!

AFTER:
“F*CK yeah!” Emily literally screaming into the ocean as she raises her hands in triumph. Her first win at this boxing thing is something to treasure, and we’re sure there are plenty of other Light and Welterweights who are watching from home and rolling their eyes once they’re reminded of Emily’s win-loss ratio.

Hannah Davis strewn midway inside and outside the ring, her upper torso rolled onto the sand dunes as she struggles even to sit up on her haunches. No sympathy from Dido, who merely exits the ring and heads straight backstage, camera flashes in the night scene perfectly illuminating the strain her own body has gone through today. 

Who knows? Maybe these two women will meet again in the ring?
