Before: Cassie looking for revenge after her previous defeat to Alicia, she wants to prove something tonight. Cassie grinning at Alicia not showing any kindness.
“There is no flyweight like me” Cassie tells the press “never will be and never was and I’m proving that tonight”

Alicia in a more relaxed confident mood, she’s beaten Cassie once, what says she can’t do it again.

R1: Cassie out of the corner fast with quick footwork, looking to punish her foe immediately, Alicia mirroring, looking mischievous. Cassie lighting her face with quick jabs but Alicia backs out and spins around baiting Cassie into a hook, Cassie takes the bait and gets SMACKED right in the middle of her face. Now it’s time for Alicia to put her skills on display as she staggers Cassie to the ropes beating the air out of her lungs. HARD LEFT to Cassie’s plexus has her looking demoralized early. Cassie refusing to go down and trying to get out of Alicia onslaught but it results in her getting send to turnbuckles. Alicia’s eyes light up, she has her foe trapped and unleashed a barrage of punches all across Cassie, body, head, ribs, flanks… Round one leaves Cassie in pain, mouth breathing and all the points to Alicia.

R2: Cassie seems to have shrugged off previous rounds beating, strong stance. Girls rotating clockwise, stalking one another, trading hooks mid ring. Alicia shrugged of her stance. Short lefts moving across Alicia chin; rights to her midsection. Cassie calm and patient this round, she’s taking the fight to Alicia and its getting the better of her. Cassie gets inside sending punches to Alicia’s head and body, she doesn’t know where exactly to defend and gets boss around the ring in favour. Alicia stumbles, almost drops to all fours but just shakes it off instead. Blonde girl busy, putting on a show, Alicia outworked throwing a punch then and there but Cassie unfazed by any of them. Closing seconds see Alicia in pain but she’s taking it all too well and not giving up. Bell: Alicia mopped up by methodical Cassie and she knows but still has a lot of fight left and her.

R3: Both girls looking good going into the third with neither girl really getting the better of things. Cassie pushing Alicia to the ropes again, but brunette girl resistant, jabbing Cassie in return and getting out of trouble. Alicia using her height sending lefts to the shorter blonde, red faced Cassie unnerved, gets slammed to the ribcage, responds with an uppercut. Girls step back looking for big punches but staying clear and not letting one another get contact. The pace of the fight if slowing down, but punches are landing again as girls trade mid ring. Cassie hooking, Alicia covering up, keeping her away then going for the ribs, Cassie persistent get slammed again. Bell: Alicia does just enough to earn her the points but both girls looking enthusiastic now more than ever.

R4: Girls crash into each other as soon as the bell rings, right hands mixing with left hooks everywhere, some landing some missing. Hands still firing but neither girl backing out. Cassie sends a BIG RIGHT to Alicia’s cheek, she wobbles but recovers quickly responding with a BIG LEFT of her own. Both girls with red cheeks, still showing good resilience. Now starting to back out and rotating clockwise again, before trading punches mid ring again; Cassie HAMMERS Alicia’s chin. Alicia in slow retreat, refusing to trade at close range still not going down. Cassie on the offensive bringing the fight to Alicia but she doesn’t know she’s getting lured into a hook and POW, Cassie surprised. Bell rings as the girls fight to a draw, but refusing to go down and with cruel intensions.

R5: Cassie on the offensive while Alicia defensive, Alicia challenged but still showing courage. Cassie putting pressure on her body for a full two minutes, Alicia desperate but sees sloppy Cassie being too busy on her body and leaving her head unprotected. Alicia careful, waits for a chance and STRIKES Cassie’s forehead, stunning her. Now it’s Alicia on the offensive scoring hard rights on Cassie’s head with repeated punches late in the round. Cassie’s other cheek changing colour and swollen. Cassie starting to look overwhelmed, Alicia using it well, putting even more pressure on her head with one jab after another. Cassie swaying to counter Alicia but unsuccessful as cautious Alicia dukes up and blasts her face. Bell: Alicia steals the round in the last minute leaving Cassie visibly frustrated.

R6: Now its Alicia on the offensive, attempting to boss Cassie on the inside, Cassie showing guard patiently waiting. It’s a failed attempt as multiple jabs drift across Alicia’s face sending her to ropes early; she’s looking exhausted. Cassie’s rights deploying to Alicia’s breadbasket; Alicia in pain. Cassie getting cruel, no remorse as she swipes lefts and rights across Alicia’s face and body, Alicia glued to the ropes, snug uppercuts to her chin, knees buckling. Cassie back to body with deadly hooks, Alicia still refusing to go down. Cassie starting to look enraged at the sight of her brave foe. Cassie hooking and jabbing Alicia for a full minute before she finally drops to canvas. 7… 8… 9… 10… and Alicia’s out.

After: A hard fight and impressive performances put both ladies in a good light. This was a significant fight for both fighter, giving them plenty of motivation in the process. This could however turn into an exciting rivalry in the following year(s).
