Kaya Scodelario versus Melissa Benoist (Bantamweight Title)

(Pretty Little Punchers vs Girls Friday)

Intro:
The FCBA bantamweight title is on the line as "Supergirl" Melissa Benoist challenges the champion Kaya Scodelario on the world famous Muscle Beach in L.A.
Melissa is 29 years old, she stands 5'8 and holds a record of 7 wins, all by knockout and 5 defeats.
Kaya is 26 years old, stands 5'6 and holds a record of 25 wins, all by knockout and 5 defeats, this is the 2nd defence of her FCBA bantamweight title run.
The fighters met at the press conference for the PPV, coming nose to nose as Kaya holds the belt on her left shoulder so the camera can see it.
Kaya stands back and smirks as she holds the title in the air for Melissa to see, telling her "I'm the best in the world bytch" as Melissa points at the belt and replies "that's coming home with me"
The fighters are taken by organisers to their seats, with Melissa telling the press "this has felt too long in coming, I have been busting my ass since day one around the FCBA, only losing to the best of the best and now I get the shot at gold I have been after"
Looking at Kaya; she says "as I stare at Kaya, I see that look of arrogance, she thinks I am going to be a cakewalk for her, to bad she doesn't realise who she is messing with"
Standing up and taking her shirt off to stand in a red bra and matching skirt, Melissa shows off her toned physique as she continues "I work to be Supergirl on screen and be one off it, I am going to beat you and become the champion"
Kaya smirks as she replies "put some clothes on please, I don't think the creeps in the back of the room even want to look at that body" with Melissa shaking her head as she sits back down.
"Look Miss Supergirl, I don't care if you were Wonderwoman, Batgirl or any of those superheroes, see I am the real thing; this title in front of me proves I am the best in the world, not you, Emily VanCamp or any of the pretenders who claim to be the best" adds Kaya as she taps the title.
"When we step in that ring, well they say don't tug on Superman's cape, I'm going to shove it down your f***ing throat bytch!" Finishes Kaya as Melissa stands and begs Kaya to try something.
Security stands in front of Melissa to hold her back, Kaya lifts the title up; gets her coach Taryn Terrell to put it around her waist, before cockily blowing a kiss to Melissa and strutting off the stage.
Fighting time, the ring posts have been set up into the sand, with bleachers around the ring for the sold out crowd to watch the fights.
Out comes Melissa with her coach Nia Peeples with her, she takes a deep breath as she heads onto the beach, looking fully focused on the task at hand.
She is wearing a navy blue bikini top with a Supergirl symbol on her left jug, red bikini bottoms and red gloves with blue thumbs, her blonde hair is braided.
Climbing into the ring; she blows kisses to the fans on her way to the corner, she begins warming up by using Nia's hands as punch pads, throwing combos to get into the zone.
All eyes are suddenly on the champion; who is coming onto the beach with Taryn Terrell and Eva Carneiro, Eva holding the FCBA bantamweight title belt up for all to see as the champ throws punches on the way to the ring.
Kaya is wearing a red and black chequered bikini, with red gloves with black thumbs and her hair is in a ponytail.
Climbing into the ring; Kaya does a full lap inside the ring, making sure to stop and tell Melissa "last chance to walk away" with Melissa simply replying "f*** you!" Kaya finishes the lap and warms up in her corner.
The referee is handed the belt and both women come to the ring centre, Melissa looks over to the belt when Kaya shoves her, both sets of coaches rush to pull their fighters back before the fight kicks off before the opening bell.
No point asking for a touch of gloves here, instead they are taken to their corners and after a warning to both by the referee to listen to them and stay within the rules, the bell is rung to begin 10 rounds of FCBA bantamweight title action.

Round 1:
"Ding" both fighters come out respectful of the other surprisingly to some, but with all the big names on both women's records, it makes sense that they are testing each other out.
Melissa is landing the cleaner punches early, her reach advantage is allowing her to take control of the action, bopping Kaya on the top of her head with her jab as they circle.
The champion looks to slip inside, landing a hard right to the body, both fighters getting heated as they stand and trade, with Kaya looking the better in close it seems as she gets to work on the body.
But Melissa nudges her back with the left, landing an uppercut that knocks Kaya back behind her guard, with the American stepping up a gear to smack away at the gloves of Scodelario to drive her back to the outside of the ring.
Kaya looks annoyed behind her guard, being forced to stay on the defensive as the challenger is looking strong, shoving Kaya onto the ropes and slamming two cross punches around guard to her face.
The Girls Friday fighter comes back at Melissa, leading to both women letting their hands go as the round comes to an end.
Both women jog back to their corners, but it is Melissa smiling as Nia tells her "that's the start we wanted, now keep that jab hammering Kaya back till you can knock her arrogant ass out"
Round 2:
Again the early action sees both women rely on their boxing skills, both landing good shots through the others gloves after bobbing and weaving.
But Melissa leans out the way of a right cross and lands a double jab to force Kaya back to the outside, where she can enforce her jab to keep the guard of Kaya up high.
The blonde takes control of the pace of the round, taking the ring center and keeping Kaya back near the ropes, getting a few punches through the gloves to the champions face.
Till Kaya throws a feint; as Melissa lifts her guard up, Kaya dips down and comes inside to land to the body with two shots, landing an overhand right to knock Melissa back.
Suddenly the champion has the momentum as she drives Benoist behind her guard, slamming her left up top and her right to the body.
When Melissa tries to swing a right hook out her guard, Kaya moves back out the way, then lunges with a straight that knocks Melissa's head back and allows Kaya to drive her onto the ropes.
This time late in the round it is Melissa needing to fight off the ropes, both women throwing hard shots as the crowd roar both of them on.
The bell rings with both women glaring as they pass each other, Melissa this time looking to Nia almost apologetic that she lost control of the round.
While across the ring; Kaya nods to Taryn, with both women chatting about the way Melissa is fighting and how to counteract it.
Round 3:
Both women start off quicker this time; throwing more punches in bunches as they are warmed up, their eyes are looking for openings to attack.
Melissa feinting with her left and slamming in a straight to the body of the champion, leaning back when Kaya swings a right hook, with Melissa landing a left jab to the face.
The American starting to get a rhythm going, taking most clipping punches to her body as Kaya looks to get inside, Melissa though is catching her clean onto her face and as she lands a right hook, it forces the champ behind her gloves.
Kaya forced to the outside as Melissa uses her rangy punches, the Pretty Little Puncher is keeping her tight behind her guard as she works hard.
The brunette needing to time her counter attack; parrying a jab and slipping under a right cross to get in close enough to land a right cross of her own up top.
Then the champion forces Melissa to retreat back to the ring center with a jab and right hook combo that turns her head.
Kaya trying to show she won't be pushed around, with both women planting their feet in the dying moments of the round to slug it out.
The bell rings to end the round with Kaya shoving Melissa back; trying to get in her head as she tells her "I'm going to enjoy knocking you out!" The referee stepping between them to stop an afters.
Sitting on her stool; Kaya bangs her gloves together as she stares across the ring at Melissa, getting annoyed that she can't bully this woman around.
While in the PLP corner; Nia tells Melissa "keep this up! This is what you have been working towards!" As Melissa nods and bangs her gloves together as she stands up ready for the next round.
Round 4:
As the fighters meet near the ring centre; Kaya is looking for ways to get inside, dipping and throwing jabs at the body and sometimes jugs of Melissa.
But Melissa doesn't let it bother her; keeping to the outside as she lands to the top of her opponent's head, while she keeps moving side to side.
Kaya slips under a straight to get to work on the abs of Melissa, landing repeated punches to make the blonde groan out.
Till Melissa nudges Kaya back with a left to the face; THEN SLAMS A RIGHT HOOK ACROSS THE CHIN OF KAYA, WHO FALLS TO HER KNEES!
The crowd look as stunned as Kaya, Melissa smiling over to her corner as she jogs to the neutral corner, 1..2...3...4, Kaya shakes her head to clear the cobwebs, 5...6 before crawling over to the ropes, 7....8 getting up to her feet to beat the count and raising her fists.
The referee let's the fight continue; Melissa looks to end this as soon as she can, striking Kaya on the nose with a straight as she knocks her opponent towards the ropes.
As Kaya's back touches the ropes, she dips under a right hook and grabs onto the body of Melissa, who tries to shove her off, the referees steps in to break them apart soon enough.
With seconds ticking away in the round; Melissa is looking to end this but Kaya keeps holding onto her when she can.
The bell rings and even though she has taken a big step forwards in this fight; Melissa a look that says she thinks she has missed her opportunity.
Nia disagrees as she tells her "you've hurt her and she knows it, keep on the attack and you'll get another chance to finish this!"
The Girls Friday corner is more hectic; Kaya has water thrown in her face to try and wake her up fully, they know that Kaya was close to losing the title there, which has Taryn shouting at Kaya to be smarter!
Round 5:
Melissa is stalking Kaya around the ring, the English fighter is on the defensive; looking to keep out the way of Melissa, who is jabbing away at the head of the champ.
The Supergirl star lands a jab between the gloves of Kaya and as she goes to swing a right hook; Kaya grabs into a clinch as clearly she is still shaking the knockdown off still.
Melissa looks frustrated as do the crowd as Kaya keeps hanging on, the referee breaking them up and warning her to stop holding as much.
With Kaya surprising Melissa as the bigger fighter comes in frustrated with a wild right, the champ dipping down and working the body as she comes to life.
Melissa needing to nudge Kaya back; with both fighters trading hard shots, Kaya using her left more to nudge Melissa as the fighting becomes scruffy.
Kaya leans out the way of a left cross, countering with a straight onto the nose of the challenger and a left across her chin to make Melissa step back.
With the bell ringing not long after, Kaya looking relieved as she heads to her corner, knowing that she was in danger but has proven she is OK.
Though Nia remains calm as Melissa heads to her corner, giving her a pep talk as Melissa looks disappointed that she didn't end it that round, telling her that she has a good lead in the final as it heads into it's second half.
Round 6:
Melissa starts the round strong; getting her jab to knock Kaya back to the outside of the ring, the champion needing to bob and weave to dodge the punches from the bigger challenger.
Kaya tries to step in close with a left cross that Melissa dances out the way of, Melissa instead throwing two punches that land squarely on the face of Kaya, blood running from the bottom lip of Scodelario.
The champion needing to cover up as Melissa drives her around the ring, punches raining off the gloves of Kaya, with several punches finding a home on the face of Kaya.
Till the champion is forced to the ropes; where she grabs onto Melissa, forcing the referee to step in as both women snarl at each other.
When Melissa tries to push on; Kaya deflects a jab and slips under a right hook, she comes up with an uppercut that catches Melissa on her chin and rocks her.
Kaya coming on strong as her opponent covers up, banging away to the body as the punches seem to be taking effect, the challenger grunting and gasping as she is driven back, needing to clinch up.
Both women grapple as they kick up sand, the referee manages to pull them apart as they fall into the ropes, warning both to keep the action clean.
The final few seconds of the round sees both women go toe to toe, knocking each other back as they slam punches across the others marked up faces.
The round ends with both women taking a deep breath as they turn to head to their corners, Kaya wiping the blood from her lip as she sits down on her stool with Eva working on her.
Across the ring Melissa shakes her head; not believing the toughness of Kaya, with Nia pointing out "you knew what you signed up for, you will win this"
Round 7:
Kaya looks to be letting Melissa come to her, taking several punches on her gloves as she moves around Melissa, who looks to take control of the ring centre once again.
The champion parries a straight and lands one of her own, with Melissa missing with a right cross and getting caught with an overhand right.
As she gets knocked back a step; Kaya comes on the attack with her punches slamming into the face of Melissa, a right busts open the bottom lip of the challenger as she gets driven on the ropes.
Melissa tries fighting back as both women land stiff shots; Kaya though dips under a right hook and comes up with an overhand left that knocks the blondes head to the side.
Nia looks worried for the first time in the fight as Melissa has to cover up, Kaya pounding at the ribs of Melissa, who pulls her into a clinch.
The referee breaks them up and Melissa manages to get several punches to the face of Kaya to back her up as they resume.
With late in the round Kaya landing an uppercut that knocks Melissa back, the champion finishing strongly as she knocks Benoist backwards.
The bell rings with both women glaring at each other, they slowly head to their corners as they are feeling the effects of the fight, their corners working on cleanly both girls up and keep them fit enough for the rest of the fight.
Round 8:
Both fighters look a little tentative as they come out; knowing one mistake might prove curtains from this point on in the fight.
Melissa looks to try to push the pace first, landing a stiff straight off the bloody lips of Kaya, then following with a left cross to push her back a step.
The champion forced to retreat towards the ropes as Melissa comes on the front foot, but Kaya shows her experience in these big situations, deflecting a straight and landing an uppercut.
Melissa's knees visibly buckle; but she stays standing as Kaya pounds her face with a flurry of punches, looking to give everything it seems in this drive as Melissa is knocked to the ropes.
When Melissa's goes to clinch; Kaya shoves her with her left, THEN HAMMERS A RIGHT HOOK TO THE CHIN, MELISSA SHOWS HER TOUGHNESS TO STAY STANDING BUT LOOKING SHAKY, THE FOLLOW UP RIGHT HOOK SENDS HER SPRAWLING IN THE SAND!
Kaya slowly heads to the neutral corner, looking to the heavens it seems to pray that this is it, 1....2...3 Melissa can be seen trying to clear her head as she stares down at the sand while on all fours, 4....5...6 when she tries to get up, she stumbles back and lands on her back with her elbows propping her up, 7...8...9...10 soon enough she is counted out!

Winner and still FCBA bantamweight champion Kaya Scodelario KO Round 8

After:
Kaya turns back one hell of a tough test, she falls to her knees and can be seen thanking whatever force above gave her the strength to win.
While Melissa can only stare through glassy eyes, she knows she was so close to winning through the middle rounds, that is making this defeat so much more worse for her as she falls to her back and cries.
Nia rushing out to check on her, telling her to stop crying and show the world the warrior she is, helping up Melissa; a large section of Melissa fans chant her name.
Kaya can even be seen nodding, she can't deny that Melissa gave her a lot to handle tonight, though judging by the expression on both women's faces as they are helped up and look across the ring at each other, these two will not be friends soon.
Both women have to be cleaned up and it isn't a quick job after this war, both getting hydrated and cleaned up of battle scars like bloody lips.
Then they come to the ring centre for the final result, both getting a respect round of applause from the crowd, before Kaya gets her hand raised and handed the title belt for her to kiss.
Melissa meanwhile is helped out the ring; telling herself that next time she gets an opening like that, she is taking it and bringing the gold home as she heads to get a much needed shower.
In the ring the sore Kaya doesn't celebrate much; Taryn telling her "you got a big reality check tonight, don't forget it next time you defend that" with Kaya nodding ruefully.
Kaya stands with the belt around her waist and her fists up for photos for tomorrows papers, in a lot of ways she doesn't look much a winner as no smile, clearly wanting to use this fight to motivate her to work harder to keep the title.
She leaves the ring with both Taryn and Eva following her, all of them knowing things are not going to get any easier with the list of potential challengers all being tough fights, can Kaya keep the running going for a long time?
