(Words: Fates / Results: Lookout!)

“I’m thankful that I’ve got a stable again after two years being a free agent. I enjoy fighting, and it’s a lot easier to do when you’re not a free agent, plus you get way more opportunities to actually fight.” Elizabeth Olsen tells her interviewers. “It’ll be a real treat to go out there tonight and fight Claire Holt, a former champion, in my first fight back.”

“It’s great to see that Lizzie has a stable now, but let’s face it, she really hasn’t been the same fighter since 2015, and she already lost earlier this month. I don’t think that Olsen has it anymore.” Claire Holt says in her pre-fight interview. “I’m looking forward to facing her, and hopefully will make her realize that she’s not the fighter that she used to be.”

Elizabeth struts out to the ring wearing a navy bikini, her hair tied up back in a braid. Claire comes to the ring with a white bikini and black trim with her hair in a braid. Both women stare each other down icily before the bell.

R1: Both women come out of the gates, ready to go after each other, and Olsen strikes first, landing a blow to Claire’s ribs, but Claire quickly repositions and lands two quick hooks to Elizabeth’s chest, knocking the actress back. Olsen tries to circle, but Holt quickly able to strike Lizzie back with a solid pair of jabs to her chin. The American actress drops back, trying to keep her distance, and the two trade punches until the Australian throws an uppercut that unbalances the younger woman, and Olsen stays in retreat with Holt pursuing her until the bell signals the end of the round. Claire takes the first, wide.

R2: For the second round in a row, both women are eager to get out and box, with Holt landing the first blow and trying to corral Olsen into the ropes with following hooks for the first minute. Olsen taking it early, but fires jabs at the precise moment that Holt tries to wind up and open the floodgates. Midway through the second, Lizzie plugs leather to Claire’s gut, causing the Aussie to grimace in pain. Olsen quickly follows up with two shots right to Holt’s chest, and Claire stumbles back into the ropes and Olsen keeps her there until Holt pushes Olsen away and blocks her follow up. Olsen tries to close the round pursuing Holt, but the two just exchange blows until the bell. Olsen takes the round on points, close.

R3: Elizabeth and Claire are slower coming out for the third, and they start the round by circling each other. Olsen feints to the chest before landing a jab to Claire’s jaw, causing her to retreat and trying to block as much of Liz’s offense as possible. Holt manages to avoid the ropes for a good period, but eventually Olsen has her back in them. Olsen hits a few body shots, but Holt gets a good lick on Olsen’s face, hitting her just below her left eye. Elizabeth falls back, but manages to avoid most of Claire’s attacks and landing solid counters, despite her relative lack of initiation for the entire second minute and half of the third. With thirty seconds left in the round, Liz connects with a right hook and follows it up with a left, but Claire able to get a jab back in return before the two women circle until the bell. Olsen wins on points, close.

R4: Elizabeth is off her stool quickly, and comes out firing to Claire’s stomach and ribs, though most of her shots get blocked. Olsen shifts her attention to Holt’s head, but doesn’t see Claire’s fist that connects right with her jaw! Liz takes a step back and Holt slings an uppercut, and Olsen falls down on her back in the first minute! Claire already in a neutral corner, and the ref starts counting. Olsen lets out a groan as she rolls over to her belly as the ref reaches a count of four, pauses, gets up to a knee at six before looking up at Claire’s stare. Elizabeth grimaces as she forces herself to her feet at the count of eight. The ref checks Olsen briefly before waving Claire back in. Claire manages to more or less get Olsen to go where she wants to go, but Liz lands a few solid jabs that keep Claire at a distance for the rest of the round. Holt takes it on points, wide.

R5: Holt practically jumps off of her stool, her jaw set, eyes ablaze with intensity, not even glancing away from Olsen. Elizabeth visibly moving slower, but doesn’t back off from Claire. Holt feints to Liz’s head, and Olsen takes the bait, eating a shot right into her chest. Olsen drops back and the two women circle each other. Olsen then hooks Holt in the ribs, drawing a small groan out of the Australian before following up again to her chest. Claire pushes Olsen back and jabs her in the face for good measure on the separation, giving both women some breathing room. Claire and Lizzie circle each other, both feinting, trying to see if they can get some sort of advantage in the dying seconds of the round. A few punches are exchanged before the bell, but at the end of the round, Claire and Elizabeth fight the round to a draw.

R6: Holt and Olsen get off their stools after a deadlocked fifth, and each woman clearly got instructions that whoever took the sixth after the last round would have a solid edge for the rest of the fight. The two approach each other, trading jabs and blocking them with their guards before Liz tags Claire with a jab that rocks the Australian backwards, and Olsen follows up with another jab that puts Holt in full retreat. Claire manages to minimize the damage from Olsen for the rest of the first minute, but at the start of the second, Olsen feints to Claire’s head and Holt takes the bait, opening herself up to a brutal right-left combo that nearly doubles her over, and Elizabeth lands a picturesque uppercut to Holt’s jaw, buckling her legs. Olsen darts out to a corner, and the ref begins his count. At six, Holt stirs and props herself up on her arms. Seven. Eight. Claire tries to get up to a knee, but crashes back down to the mat as the ref counts out nine and ten. Elizabeth Olsen defeats Claire Holt by KO6!

After:

“She really got me in the fourth, but I managed to fight through it and end up as the winner.” Olsen says in her post-fight interview. “It’s great to be back with a stable and win in my first outing with Fates, and I would like to thank Claire for really bringing it tonight. It was great to prove her wrong about my being past my prime, and everyone better be ready because I’m back.”

“It’s unfortunate that I lost to Liz, especially since I should have put her away in either the fourth round or gone after her more in the fifth.” Claire Holt is candid in her post-fight interview. “Losing three straight is never a good feeling, but I have to look to the future now.
