BEFORE:

"People always ask me," says a hard-eyed Jodi, "What would have happened in your career if you'd gotten regular work, had management. And, the answer is that I'd have been a champion in this division. But. I didn't get that lucky, like THIS girl did. So. I'm going to take out my frustrations on her."

"I'm not worried about what Jodi Lyn's plans are," says Antje with a shake of the head. "Because, MY plan is to take her out of there and not waste any time doing it."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that's 'Super Freak' by Rick James, one of the favorite songs of the lovely brunette coming to the ring right now, Jodi Lyn O'Keefe..."

McCarthy: "And, I usually roll my eyes when girls talk about not getting opportunities in the FCBA, because you EARN those like I did, but, THIS girl might have a point. She can fight with a lot of these overrated welters and always could."

O'Dell: "O'Keefe into the ring and helped off with the robe. She's wearing a silver gray number that shows she's been working out hard for this one. And, that's 'Heads Will Roll' by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and here comes 'The Scandinavian Stunner', Antje Utgaard!"

Tess: "No question there's a lot of pressure on Front Street's welters at the moment, as management has just brought in one of the up and coming stars of the division, who you'll see tonight, and has talked about going a different way with the division entirely."

Cassie: "And, Antje clearly knows that. She's all business on the way to the ring."

O'Dell: "Utgaard climbs in. She's helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve to reveal that stars and stripes number we've seen before and the crowd, as always, shows its appreciation. Ladies about ready to go. Time for some picks. Tess likes Antje. Mac/"

McCarthy: "Like I said, this O'Keefe kid could always fight and Utgaard is on her way out. Jodi!"

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "First split panel of the night. Let's see who's right. Ladies setting up at range right away and getting to work, and this is no surprise at all. Both of these beauties are long and like to extend on their punches. Early going sees the brunette getting the better of the ranged boxing though, as O'Keefe's more accurate, and, as a result, more effective..."

Cassie: "All about the geometry right now. O'Keefe's a veteran and she's working angles to get to spots."

O'Dell: "Is, indeed, and she's not only landing from those spots, she's putting punches together, building up a nice lead on the younger woman. Utgaard punching, getting leather on target, but it's mostly one-punch stuff at the moment. Result is that the brunette's building up a nice lead."

McCarthy: "And, if this keeps up, Utgaard will be the NEXT failed Dancing Hooker out the door. My SOURCES say she's on thin ice right now!"

Tess: "I'd LOVE to know what sources YOU have INSIDE Front Street..."

McCarthy: "I'm sure you WOULD, Walmart."

O'Dell: "Final fifteen seconds of the first round, and it continues to be a good one for Jodi Lyn. Veteran brunette out boxing the blonde from the early moments of this stanza and she continues to do it right to the bell. There it is and the first is in the books. And, it's O'Keefe wide to grab the early 10-9 lead."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Second begins with Utgaard getting off first and getting off accurately. All of a sudden, Antje's found the range, and the younger fighter's getting that big, heavy Front Street jab on target, and that's changing the complexion of the fight. O'Keefe getting thrown over to the defensive as the blonde gets the offense rolling..."McCarthy: "Kid's figured out the geometry. And. IT'S A JAB! EVERY FIGHTER HAS ONE!"

O'Dell: "Antje's a lot HEAVIER than most fighters', though, as are the jabs of the rest of the Front Street bigs. And, you're seeing the effect of that on the brunette. Not only is Antje's left stopping her cold, it's actually backing her up at times. And, it's also setting up those hard right hand follows."

Tess: "And, that's the dangerous punch with Utgaard. This is a BIG girl with a TON of power."

O'Dell: "Final thirty seconds of the round. Utgaard's been cruising for the entire period, and that's not changing. Big girl in command, putting punches together and piling up points. Jodi Lyn not hurt, but she's definitely taking the worst of it. Five seconds to go. And, there's the bell. Utgaard wide in the second."

Cassie: "And, we're even at 19."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Fight of adjustments so far, and Jodi Lyn making one now. She's working forward, inside Utgaard's jab, looking to fight at middle distances. Saw quite enough of what happens when you're out on the end of Antje's punches last round, and she's working a different tactic..."

Cassie: "Changing up that geometry again. And it's working, because she's got the blonde out of rhythm."

O'Dell: "That, she does. Jodi Lyn not controlling things like she did in the first, but she's not getting a shellacking like she did in the second. Instead, it's two-way stuff, with both girls able to score in spots and neither able to take command. Antje giving ground here and there looking to create that space she had the last round, but O'Keefe not having it."

McCarthy: "Good, veteran stuff from Jodi Lyn. Making the Dancing Hooker fight on HER terms."

O'Dell: "And, again, Utgaard doing fine at this, but O'Keefe doing just as well if not better. We've got ten seconds to go in the third, and it's continued to be a close, competitive round. GOOD exchange there! Both fighters landing some heavy leather, and there's the bell. Close, but it's Jodi Lyn."

Tess: "And, O'Keefe is back in the lead 29-28."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Again, O'Keefe looking to move to middle distances as we start the fourth. Obviously doesn't want to get in and bang with Utgaard, but she wants to avoid being on the end of the long jab as well, so she's splitting the difference and, once again, doing it pretty effectively, as she's able to score from this distance..."

Tess: "And, Antje scoring at this range as well, but, again, not able to control the round with her jab."

O'Dell: "She is NOT, and that's the key to Jodi Lyn's strategy, I suspect. O'Keefe moving head, feet, hands, playing good defense as well. Utgaard hooking body now, then going back upstairs and FLATTENING JODI LYN WITH A STRAIGHT RIGHT HAND! Landed that clean and O'Keefe ragdolls to the canvas!"

Cassie (singing): "Turn out the liiiigggghhhhttssss. The party's ohhhhhverrrrrrr..."

O'Dell: "Certainly seems to be. O'Keefe down on her right side, not moving at all as the blonde heads for a neutral corner. Count at three. Four. Five. Six. This is going to be as academic as it gets. Seven. Eight. Nine. TEN! And it's OVER! And your winner by KO4 in one-punch fashion is 'The Scandinavian Stunner', Antje Utgaard!"

McCarthy: "Lucky punch is all."

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Antje Utgaard, and, Antje, that was SOME kind of right hand..."

Antje (smiling): "Thanks, Tess. That's the thing. If I can get that right hand on clean, there's not a girl in the FCBA who's taking it and staying on her feet. Not one."

Tess: "Lot of talk this month about you maybe concentrating on some things besides the welterweight title..."

Antje (shaking her head): "Doesn't matter to me. Ice Hotel. JMDD. Fight me on a cruise ship. I don't care. Book the fight and let me know when to show up. I'll get the job done."
