BEFORE:
We're LIVE! at the VIXENs’ Santa Monica Fight Studio and Gym, and the audience is primed and pumped for the final round of the Great Alexis Ren American Bash tournament. The winner of this round will be going on to face Alexis Ren herself in the Grand Finals, and we apologise to the fight fans for the recent mix-up in schedules. The buzz surrounding Alyssa Lynch's title opportunity against Bantamweight champion Nina Dobrev certainly threw some confusion into the timing, but here at VIX, we never turn down a title offer, and the way Alyssa responded when she first found out says it best: “It'll be sweeter to kick Alexis’ ass as a champion.”

In the pre-fight segment, all three women are separated on the dias by an army of ring officials, with Alyssa, Cara and Alexis Ren separated into three portions equally, like a round table of badass b*tches and making for an interesting spectacle as to who's really at odds with whom in this final fight.

“Can I just say that I have no f*cking clue how or why ASS-lyssa managed to score a title match,” Ren speaking first with as much malice as she can muster. “She's what - number 30 on the rankings?? Dobrev is going to *destroy* her, and then I'm going to step on the sorry pieces.” Ren smirking to herself when Alyssa turns a bright shade of red, looking like she’d very much like to jump from her seat and reach over the barrier to pull some blonde hair.

“Excuse me, but no one is going to ignore me tonight. Not you, Ren, and certainly not you, Alyssa.” All heads instead turning to Cara in one corner, with the Brit wild card *the* one who's made it thus far in the tournament and fully intends to stay in the driver's seat. “I didn't fight my way through this tournament just to be a spectator between the both of you. Alyssa, you'll have to go through me first if you want a chance at Ren, whom I think we'd both agree, however, is a nasty little whanker who deserves to have her face slapped.”

Ren's smile evaporating this time in an instant, as she can't decide whether to feel happy at two rivals bickering with each other, or threatened at the same two girls tearing her head off. “Listen you little, self-righteous British bimbo--”

Before she can respond in full, however, Alyssa cuts in with a throaty laugh from her chair. “I think I can really learn alot from you, Cara. Mainly how to demolish a brat like Ren like that. What I'll say is this: I’m beginning to rest easy to know that one way or another, Ren's gonna get destroyed in the finale of this tourney. Whether it's you or me who does the ass-whipping… well let's find out, shall we?”

Alexis has to be flanked by burly men as the two girls who are fighting tonight are escorted from the stage down to the ring. That doesn't stop Ren from continuing to hurl insults at them and attempt to clamber over her ‘bodyguards’ to try and engage in a pre-fight melee, however. No such luck for the rabid blonde though. After Alyssa and Cara are safely in the ring, Ren is escorted to a front row seat herself, where she has little choice but to look prissy and sit quietly with arms crossed across her chest, two bodyguards flanking her on either side.

Alyssa in bright red bikini and donning black gloves, whereas Cara fighting in white sports top and dark blue boxing trunks, red gloves on either hand. HERE we go with ten rounds of Lightweight action!!

ROUND 1:
Girls playing it safe early, their sparse jabs contrasting with the wild energy from the crowds who are chanting and egging them onwards. Both girls too focused to get distracted, however. Alyssa and Cara hiding behind their raised arms, only peeking half their faces out of cover when it's safe to do so. They take turns exchanging jabs to the guard, but Alyssa soon getting tired of the status quo and starts slamming straight hands into the blonde's tummy from afar. Cara grunting out loud early, but little she can do as it's already the third minute by this point. Alyssa with the better exchange this opening round, and takes it by a comfortable margin.

ROUND 2:

More circling from both ladies as they start picking up the punching pace and picking off targets from afar. Alyssa continuing to target the body with rapid blows, but Cara getting the wiser, blocking those body shots more often, more easily, before slapping leather up into the brunette's cheek in some brilliant fits of counter-punching. Just goes to show that these two final ladies of the tournament are nothing like their counterpart Ren - both know to adapt to challenging circumstances, with Cara now the one lifting her hand confidently at the closing bell at taking the next round wide.

ROUND 3:
We have an interesting situation here with both girls done testing the waters and now trying to come out ahead, but attempts to outwit the other girl getting outwitted herself. Cara still trying to counter-punch, but Alyssa trying to adapt too and counter the countering. It's a stalemate for a good majority of this round as a result, with girls smarting at the slightest whiff of action: Cara barely flicking a punch forward before Alyssa doing the same, with both of them leaping backwards at the same time after. Interesting strategy indeed that sees overcautious action. But one gal's gotta throw this to the wind and go all-in sooner or later if they’re looking to score points. For now, judges surely going for a draw.

ROUND 4:
Alyssa is the first one to initiate some aggression, as is expected of the challenger to the Bantamweight belt come December. But she needs to keep her emotions and ambitions in check, as Cara is keeping pace with her with each time she advances backwards, snapping jabs into her nostrils repeatedly. Alyssa’s swings are either taken on the guard or hitting empty air by contrast, and she’s having real trouble getting past Delevingne’s defences here. Looks like that strategy didn’t exactly work out in the end, and Lynch realising as much by keeping her distance in the final minute, panting hard with that reddened nose as a reminder that slow and steady might be the best way to go forward. Cara simply needs to remain patient and her opponent will come to her instead.

ROUND 5:
Alyssa visibly staying back here, and it’s Cara’s turn to attempt an advance into enemy territory. Brunette trying to use same strategy as her foe to keep distance and target the face, but Cara taking her time at testing defences, step by step coming in and shocking punches to the face, then body, then face again, with targeted blows landing. Alyssa getting outworked clearly by the second minute, finding herself overwhelmed. She kinda panics with wild defending allowing Cara taking advantage - she slaps another flurry of quick jabs into the nose and lips, before SNAPPING the Vixen’s head backwards with a choice uppercut to the jawline! DOWN Alyssa Lynch goes - she’s simply WOBBLED by that sudden flurry to the head, losing her balance and going down to one knee! KNOCKDOWN for Cara Delevingne!

Dreams sorta dashed for the surly Vixen as she sputters on the ground, trying to regain her footing. The roar of the crowd in her ears is not helping, obscuring the referee’s steady counting her out by her side. Cara not one for gloating, immediately moving to neutral corner the minute she sent her opponent down, belly now pulsing in and out as she eyes her competitor. Alyssa wasn’t floored to the floor, mind you, but simply taken a nasty tumble. She makes it back up by the count of 8, shaking the buzz from her head and nodding at the referee that she wants to continue.

Last minute and Cara coming inwards again, hoping to finish this, but realistically knowing that it’s gonna be a longer fight than this when Alyssa moves like the wind in the opposite direction. As expected, she’s keeping her throbbing head covered up and her feet moving fast, managing to survive the end of the round quite easily.

ROUND 6:
Cara coming at Lynch hard and fast, hoping to capitalise on her being stunned from the previous round’s knockdown. Alyssa’s turn to keep herself out of the way, at least for the first minute, dealing with her punches quite easily with parries and blocks. Cara’s longer reach however managing to score on the forearms, before she pounds a couple of shots into the tummy. But Alyssa not in any real danger, if we’re being honest, STUNS the blonde back with a hook out of nowhere to the face, then landing another and another to the raised arms hard, forcing Cara backwards with those puppy eyes watering as she struggles to deal with this sudden aggression! Lynch timing her comeback relatively well, ignoring Cara’s counter-punches into her chin - she’s more concerned with swiping that pretty blonde face to the side with her own powerful hooks. Bell rings and Cara definitely looks shocked and bothered on the ropes, mouth open and panting hard at having survived the end of this round, but clearly not feeling like she took it overall for her corner.

ROUND 7:
Here comes Alyssa looking all shades of revived and ready to roar, taking advantage of Cara’s own slowdown to storm forward and resume swinging at her lean frame. Delevingne suddenly like a ragdoll as she takes the abuse at close quarters, tummy getting whacked with side-hooks, then sent reeling to one side when Alyssa switches up those hooks on her upper torso. Cara surviving only by clinging onto her opponent during the lull in punches, clinching up and then catching breath on shoulder. Alyssa growling in her ear, seeking the knockdown, but it’s difficult with your foe clinging onto you at every opportunity. Girls squirm as bodies connect, but the bell rings soon after and the referee has to separate the two fighters, with Cara doing enough to dampen Alyssa’s momentum here, even if she lost the round overall.

ROUND 8:
Girls get into an all-out brawl in the first minute when they decide to meet in the middle, taking turns lashing sharp blows at the face sideways, before pounding shots on the body. It’s Cara’s final burst of energy as she puts in 110% into the exchange, but STILL the one who comes out hurt, that lean body of hers not entirely built for brawling like Alyssa’s! Lynch keeping her arms tucked in and head down, chugging at the blonde’s body nonstop and further STUNNING her with shots to the chest and up into the chin. Cara shocked by the intermittent SNAPS that threaten to break her guard apart, leaves her head open for a split second - it’s long enough for Alyssa to JAM another right hand up into the chin, sending her flying backwards in trouble! OUCH. Cara’s back hits the ropes, clearly grimacing. She takes another one-two to the belly, before a right hook to the side of face SENDS HER DOWN onto her side with an UGHH! Alyssa gets her revenge in a KNOCKDOWN in the final minute! Is this it?!?

Cara floored by the sustained power of those hooks landing - she gets a first-hand taste of what Alyssa can do when she’s in the zone. Delevingne trying to push herself up to all fours, but that rocked head still spinning wildly - referee hits the 10-count and she’s not going to make it! He waves his arms over her and the fight OVER!!

Official Decision: Alyssa Lynch defeats Cara Delevingne via KO8!

AFTER:

That’s it! Alyssa Lynch is the winner! She breaks into a smile and raises a hand high in the air, winded and tired out, but still looking quite elated that she’s made it past this gauntlet of challenges. Cara sputtering on the middle rope as she struggles to stand back up, but soon gets a helping hand from Lynch herself as the two girls share a brief hug and encouraging words on the ropes.

Cameras of course panning to where Alexis Ren is - or should we say - was supposed to be seated. The seat now remains conspicuously empty, the missing blonde probably too embarrassed and intimidated to stay put at the sight of one of her hated rivals celebrating in the ring.

“Ren can hide, but she f*cking knows what’s going to happen next,” Alyssa shouting into the microphone post-fight. “Bring it!”

For now, Alyssa focusing on preparing for her title fight against Nina Dobrev, but you can bet that she has a date with Alexis Ren in the ring thereafter, regardless of the outcome. Join us next year for the conclusion to The Great Alexis Ren American Bash!
