Before: Both fighters need a win here. Between them they’ve lost their last five fights. "Emily's pure hype inside and out of the ring," shrugs Shay in prefight, "I'm going to enjoy bursting her bubble. From what I've seen, she fights like she thinks she's big, but she doesn't have the brawn to back it up. She's perfect for me - I'll hurt her, walk her down and punish her - all night long if need be. I don't see any way she hurts me."

Emily still not thought of as a quality fighter despite winning years in a row since she cam to VIXENS. "I really don't need confidence-boosters. What I need is hard rounds - the kind of rounds I know I'll get here. I know the league and the media don't respect me now, but, one way or the other by the end of this year- they will."

Shay in a red one-piece with zipper-square cutouts and a split above her left hip, black gloves, hair wind-blown wild. Emily in metallic green top, sea-blue bottoms, white gloves hair spilling over her left shoulder.

R1: Emily opens the action with exuberant body-punching in the first minute, drifting a little low to take Shay in the “trunks”, but quick to apologize as she draws a Canadian scowl. By the second, Mitchell’s seeing the telegraphed right hand, shooting her left past Ratajkowski’s ear to block, then getting her body behind the short right on the face with ominous accuracy. Emily wobbly butt en route to her stool after a series of collisions all around the ring end with her eating Shay’s right hand.

R2: Shay has her moments, but Emily controls the action with some of the classiest boxing of her career. Recognizing that Mitchell needs to come forward, work inside to be effective, Ratajkowski takes it all away with good lateral movement and a darting jab. Emily methodically banking hooks in Shay's breadbasket, but also showing her fellow brunette more right hands than usual, catching Mitchell repeatedly by surprise over that left shoulder. Nice straight, textbook punching from Ratajkowksi, Shay competitive but outclassed.

R3: Emily having a fun first minute, circling her quarry, darting in, swatting wide hooks, bending into sharp right hands, pivoting and dancing away. All comes to a halt midway through as Ratajkowski swoops in with a lashing combination, leans out with hands down and gets caught a GORGEOUS hook as Mitchell explodes out of her crouch. Emily blown to ropes, bounces off and wraps up in a sloppy desperation clinch. Shay knows what to do: she's glommed onto Ratajkowski, shouldering her rough into the ropes, chugging away with hooks to the breadbasket and hip, keeping a body on. Nice crowding beat down at the ropes has Emily shabby - Shay blowing her hair back with shouted taunts at the bell.

R3: Great grinding, hardhearted round for Shay. Mitchell quick to get her body on a hurt and sluggish Ratajkowski, pressing her into the ropes and systematically working her over. Shay using her left arm to trap Emily's right, then pressing up chest to chest, employing the right palm to shove at Polish Princess's shoulder, opening up the torso for shoehorning rights. Belly and breasts, Ratajkowksi sagging along the perimeter, suffering under Mitchell's suffocating attack. Unable to struggle free or punch much herself, Emily cries out "GET OFF ME!" at one point - drawing howls of derision from PLP and Foxfire personnel ringside.

R5: Emily getting the extra touch in this round--swinging right hands to the gut, straight criss-crossing lefts and rights trying to pierce the guard. Shay taking backward steps, Ratjkowski banging short right hands between the gloves and a rich, thick hook in behind the elbow. Whenever something appears to shake Mitchell, Emily pipes up “you’re hurt!” or some such, grating on former champ’s nerves. Ratajkowski also tidying up close with a tit scrub--just turning her shoulder side to side to swish her gloves thub-thub across Mitchell’s cleavage. Shay issuing her first clinches of the fight, brief tie-ups, Emily struggling to keep her rhythm in the wrap..

R6: Shay tries to jab and move to her left, but gets her face banged back as energetic Emily’s jabbing and driving straight right hands, knocking the brunette around the ring. Early Mitchell resistance beaten down, drifting to the ropes to defend, Ratajkowski walking her down and working her over. Midway through, Emily goes body with a pair of thick right hands, left hand tight to her cheek--she’s got Shay cringing forward, Canadian shoulder-bumped back, right hand to the same spot, bludgeoning Mitchell’s body without mercy. Ratajkowski digs in a few, bodies up to straighten Shay then steps left, brunette dazed, tilting into the ropes and EMILY UNLEASHES! Ratajkowski letting her hands go, just shredding what’s left and MITCHELL GOES DOWN! Shay on her side, does a few drunken rolls under the ropes and out of the ring. Ref waves off the count, KO 6 for Emily Ratajkowksi

After: Emily proving her place in the bantam title picture is more than just a statistical fluke, positioning herself at the top of the Vixen small girl heap!
