Karolina Kurkova vs Gisele Bundchen

BEFORE: "It's a travesty we haven't met in the ring before! But it's finally time!", Karolina Kurkova can't hide her excitement over tonight's match-up against an all-time modelling legend Gisele Bundchen. These two vets have been ducking each other for a while but the stage is set here in the Turks & Caicos islands where Gisele vows to silence a few critics who believe her catwalk retirement should be followed in the boxing world too: "Look, I've had a solid career, I got the Ice Hotel title so allthough my record is... ahem... not up to my husband's standards, I'm still ready to blow a vet like Karolina away! She knows it and I know it! This will be a fun evening for you guys but I'm going home the winner!"

Karolina Kurkova wears a light blue bikini set with leopard print trim and black gloves. Long blonde hair tied in a sleek ponytail. Gisele Bundchen wears a golden bikini set and neon green gloves. Long light brown hair tied in a curled ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the lightweight division.

Round 1:
Both these vets chase an early success and tangle in a classic war or attrition which shocks the Caribbean audience; Karolina digs her mitts into Gisele's chest but also clips the chin a couple of times and emerges on top of the Brazilian's head-hunting response that loses it's precision very quickly thereafter. Gisele tries not to yield real estate but can't keep up with the blonde's power assault that drives her backwards in the second minute and she scowls in pain when Kurkova lashes out at her with more hooking juice. Karolina goes all upstairs to close out the deal and rattles the Brazilian along the ropes before adding another series on the jugs just before the bell.

Round 2:
Gisele tries to roar back into contention but loses another opening tangle as Karolina's head-hunting pounce prevails in rather quick fashion. Gisele's head snaps back repeatedly as she's getting outworked in the center of the ring so she has to find the escape route fast which only kicks sand all over the blonde's shins. However Kurkova fails to track her down in time and Bundchen earns herself a good respite before trying to make something happen again... ain't gonna work... Kurkova keeps her at bay with more accurate head strikes and has the crowd somewhat cheering for a Brazilian recovery during the break.

Round 3:
The Caribbean support allows Bundchen to finally stick her foot in the door... or more like in Karolina's face as both models engage in another head-hunting rally where the older of the two finds some holes and snaps the Czech ponytail back. Karolina refuses to back off but gets picked off too often to stand her ground and bends awkwardly when Gisele cracks a left hook on the nose followed by a dose of gut-checking leather that exposes the target as vunerable! Karolina trips back and almost goes down alltogether but Gisele is right there to jack more hooks into her guts which allows her to control the Czech babe for remainder of the round and force a loud Kurkova gulp of pain at the bell. 

Round 4:
Bundchen has found her spot and she keeps blowing strikes into the Kurkova's midsection which slows the Czech babe right down to the point she almost has to clinch the older model to halt the beating. Gisele gets vocal as she carves visible bruises into Karolina's ribcage but also bumps her off in jug-to-jug contact before a scything left cross finds the jaw and sends the younger woman reeling onto the ropes. Karolina is trapped for good there and gets picked off up the middle; her squeals get louder and louder as Gisele piles on more pressure and almost shoves her victim through the ropes that meets a massive ovation from the audience while coach Claudia Schiffer is throwing thunders in the LCA corner.

Round 5:
Kurkova's still in shut down mode and leaks more body punches from the charging Brazilian who doesn't have to care much about defense at this stage - she simply smacks the Czech blonde from both flanks and leaves her stuck in the sand pit from the word go. Ugh! Karolina's aerial response meets nothing but hot air whereas Gisele needs another series to wobble her onto her heels but then a piercing hook crushes the solar plexus and has Kurkova whimpering on the spot... she bends low almost to crash her face into Gisele's jugs but she doesn't get there as a right hook NAILS her on the temple and SENDS SLIDING DOWN ON THE SAND instead!!! Gisele thinks she's got this WON but Karolina battles back from all fours to recover at eight and issues a verbal tirade regardless... better save that oxygen for the last minute alas Bundchen is so upset she missed the KO finish she gets carried away too much next and fails to escape a lenghty clinching stalemate that follows. Ugh! Coach Schiffer remains very upset but so is the Brazilian free agent who actually refuses to sit down during the interval and pleads her case to the audience.

Round 6:
Bundchen thinks she's got Kurkova rattled beyond repair but she WALKS into a crunching left hook seconds into the sixth and eats a flurry of uppercuts on the boobs that drop her backwards almost on the spot. Kurkova still doesn't have the speed required to mount immediate recovery but she lands more single shots upstairs to stun the older model into spasms while Gisele almost goes head-first into her chest during a hectic struggle in the second minute. Plenty of sand gets kicked in the process as both women fight for balance alas Karolina goes to business with another body assault that breaks the struggle... Gisele clips her on the jaw a couple of times but lacks the outright juice and slides onto the ropes to simply catch her breath as Karolina punishes her with a late uppercut rally that dissects the high guard very easily indeed.

Round 7:
Both women tangle in the middle of the ring again however Bundchen bounces off the high guard and gets WHACKED on the liver area with a swift response that drops her into a wicked uppercut on the jaw that almost makes the Caribbean audience scream in agony! Huh! Gisele almost half-spins face down on the sand only to go all limp moments later when the blonde NAILS her with another cross on the nose... add another nose-busting hook on the double and Gisele's in no shape to react when a double cross tags her on each temple and BACK-FLIPS HER ONTO THE SAND moments later... Karolina leaps in the air when she delivers that last combo and poor Gisele is left for dead face-down... she tries to push herself up but collapses in the sand when the knockdout daze takes over! KO7 Karolina Kurkova!!!

AFTER: Karolina taunts the Caribbean crowd into a louder response and exchanges warm hugs with Claudia Schiffer while Gisele remains face-down in the sand and has to be revived by the medical team. Her punching resistance just isn't very good these days - in fact it never was during her lukewarm boxing career but she earns a huge applause from the fans which only upset the Lionesses a little further. Karolina tries to slap extra punishment across the Brazilian's face but Gisele turns to Portuguese to shout some abuse which is bold given her defeat. If these two didn't still wear gloves they'd probably engage in some quick hairpulling but Claudia Schiffer finally gets in there and tells Gisele to step the heck back. Huh! It's not exactly 1994 but Claudia still rules the house and Gisele has to take her arguments elsewhere for the time being!
