When these girls last fought each other in 2015, Liz won on points, mainly because the younger girl sat Caity down with a right hook in round 9, but Caity’s recent form has suggested that she might just have the edge on Liz, especially after that tough fight at the recent PPV with Hailee Steinfield

The girls make their way to the ring, Liz in a red leotard, with Caity in a baby blue bodice and knickers

Round 1

These girls look well matched as the fight begins, Liz more aggressive as she looks to make a statement early on, bopping Caity’s face with her stiff left jab, but Caity isn’t too bothered, and hits Liz hard with a straight right to her gut, which makes her back off, but the blonde doesn’t follow her up, and Liz recovers, then, with her trademark scowl in place, she gives Caity a few more stiff jabs, and a right hook to follow it, pressing the older girl against the ropes, telling her, “I did you once, now I’m gonna finish the job!” but Caity wrestles her way out, and bangs another pair of punches into the brunette’s body, promising her, “Plenty more of that to come!” as Liz winces, her return punches lacking any venom, but she was the more aggressive girl in the opening round

Round 2

Liz is still bristling with aggression, and starts quickly with her left jab homing in on Caity’s pretty face, but the blonde counters solidly, and she bats Liz with a right jab and left cross combo, stunning the younger girl, who blinks and backs off, then gets caught again with a solid left hook to her jaw, Liz’s head spinning sideways, and she staggers a little as she bounces against the ropes, covers, and takes punishment, Caity laying into her body, really whipping in those punches, Liz gasping and whimpering, and now Caity starts trying to open her up a little, rifling in some uppercuts, finally splitting Liz’s defensive gloves, and down she goes! Liz is on the canvas, nose bleeding, and she rolls over, pushing herself up to her feet at 8, unsteady on her feet, but the bell rings to save her from any more punishment

Round 3

Most fight fans are stunned by Caity’s sheer physicality in that second round, and a patched up Liz is doing her best to take the fight to her blonde opponent, who takes a couple of jabs before unloading a thudding right jab on Liz’s damaged nose, then whipping a shortarm uppercut into her jaw to daze her, Liz being forced backwards, punching almost aimlessly, Caity standing back, and letting the younger girl use her energy, hitting her to the ribs in retaliation, but she gets caught by Liz’s left cross, and has to clinch to recover, Liz pushing back, and landing again after the ref resets the pair, sending Caity backwards with another sweet left, but she can’t quite press home her advantage, the older girl defending well, absorbing Liz’s punches on her arms and gloves

Round 4

Looking to follow up, it’s Liz landing the crisper punches at the start of round four, her nose swollen, but not bleeding at this stage, and she’s encouraged by Caity’s hesitation to swap punches in the early seconds, Liz now sure she’s hurt the blonde, and she’s boxing really neatly, keeping her gloves high, staying behind her jab, Caity looking slightly untidy, until she changes tactics, and crushes a left hook in under Liz’s ribcage, again making the brunette gasp loudly, and drop her right arm, opening her up for a swift and solid trio of punches to her face, her eyes wide with shock, and her nose is bleeding again as Caity takes her defence apart again, working her body over with hard and accurate punching, the older girl taking her time, picking the gaps in Liz’s defence, and the girl looks hurt as the bell rings again, Caity back in control

Round 5

Back the girls come, and on comes Caity, working Liz backwards with a series of right hooks to the body, setting her back on the ropes, and she puts Liz down with a left hook, her glove just crashing into the brunette’s right cheek, and she smacks onto the canvas, most fightfans cheering now, backing Caity, but Liz gets up again as the count reaches 7, the ref looking concerned, but waving the blonde in, and she starts again as if she’d not put Liz on her ass, softening her up by punishing her to her body, Liz getting horrible outclassed now, Caity drawing her in, Liz throwing a punch or two, before Caity lets go, left jab, right cross, left hook – down goes Liz again, on her back in the centre of the ring, the referee counting over her for a third time tonight, and Liz getting up for a third time tonight, this time at 8, her right cheek swelling, Caity content to push her into a neutral corner, and work her body for the remaining seconds of the round

Round 6

Caity’s just toying with Liz as round 6 begins, goading her, beckoning her to come and have a go at her, then she hits her in the face, left, right, left, right – not big punches, but punches that will hurt and damage the brunette’s already bruised face, but Liz still tries to fight back, the girl on autopilot as she advances, Caity dancing on her toes, avoiding Liz’s lunges, then jabbing her, really schooling the girl now, the fightfans cheering, many laughing, as Caity hands Liz a total lesson in boxing, her sharp punches opening the brunette’s face up as well, cutting her left eye and her right cheek, that pouting face now a glistening, crimson mess, as Caity busts her up without actually trying to finish her off, then, as her corner shouts, “Thirty seconds, doll!” she lays into Liz’s poor, battered body, leaving her on her hands and knees at the bell, sobbing and whimpering in pain

Round 7

The referee has lectured Caity between rounds, “You’ve had your fun! Either knock her out, or I’ll stop the fight!” Caity grins back, “Sure!" The action starts again, with Liz clearly struggling to continue, and Caity just goes about her business, hammers Liz’s body once again, just so ruthless in the way she softens Liz up again and again, taking nothing for granted, pressing the brunette back into her own corner, where she gives her a savage straight left to her belly, bending her over, then she stands her up with a stunning right uppercut, before finishing the job with a left hook to Liz’s jaw, sending her down for a fifth time in the fight, and this time she won’t get up, as Caity snarls, “And stay down, you b*tch!”

Result: Caity Lotz knocked out Elizabeth Gillies in round 7

Caity was just incredible in this fight – really up for it against a girl she clearly doesn’t like, and she grabs the microphone afterwards to announce, “Gillies thinks she’s tough! Now she knows what tough is!” She hauls the hapless brunette off her stool, and parades her around the ring.
