Nina Agdal vs. Emily DiDonato

Before:

Two Sports Illustrated models square off tonight in lightweight action, and while Sports Illustrated is fairly good about keeping model beef under wraps, some sources have leaked it to the press that these two women really don’t like each other.

Nina is the first one to be asked about it, and she keeps her response brief: “Look. For DiDonato, you’re looking at a girl who has basically no name recognition. She lost her opening three bouts, and Fates picked her up only after she defeated the awful Hannah Davis, who basically anyone can beat aside from the very bottom of the division. She’s gotten cocky in her last few fights, and I would love nothing more than knocking her out tonight.

Emily similarly has a feisty response to the question: “Agdal is one of those models who got a lot of press early on and has fallen off as she’s gone through her career. We don’t see eye to eye, and that’s fine. It just makes tonight even more special, especially for the woman who ends up with her hand raised at the end of this.”

Agdal’s hair is braided for the fight, wearing a red sports bra and matching short shorts and red gloves. DiDonato has her brunette hair up in a bun, blue sports bra, white shorts with matching gloves.

Both women stare daggers at each other before the fight begins.

Round 1:

Emily starts off the match by using her extra reach to jab at the younger model. Nina retreats, trying to induce Emily to go lunging after her and overcommitting. DiDonato does not overcommit, wisely remaining at a distance and forcing Agdal to react to her jabs. Agdal darts in and lands a solid right to Emily’s chin and follows up with a left to DiDonato’s breasts, but Emily rifles a shot straight back into Nina’s nose, temporarily stunning the Danish model. DiDo quickly slides a left that gets Agdal’s liver and then crashes a right into Nina’s mouth, driving the model backwards into the ropes. Emily starts pounding Nina’s belly and breasts and Agdal is forced to clinch and the referee eventually separates the two women. Emily and Nina circle for the rest of the round with Emily landing just a few more shots than Nina. The bell rings and at the end of the first, DiDonato comes out with the round on points, wide.

Round 2:

DiDonato opens the second the same way as the first, using her reach advantage to get after Nina, but this time, Agdal is ready. The VIXEN boxer lets Emily jab and then quickly moves in and drives a left into Emily’s face, drawing a scowl from the American. DiDonato tries to drive Agdal back with more jabs, but Nina is too quick and smacks Emily in the jaw and then stays on the offensive, pounding Emily’s jugs as the American gets her guard up. DiDo able to counterpunch a bit, but Nina just has Emily retreating and eventually gets her into the ropes. Agdal buries more punches into DiDonato’s body as Emily finally manages to clinch and the ref has to break the two women apart. Emily stays well away from Nina for the rest of the round, getting her jab working towards the end and making good contact on occasion. After the bell rings, Agdal returns to her corner with a slight smile, taking the round on points, wide.

Round 3:

Nina opens the round by feinting at Emily, landing a few punches as Emily bites for the weaker punches only to open herself up. But Emily quickly learns and reestablishes her jab, making good contact with Nina’s chin and nose more than the Danish model would like. Agdal drops back, but Emily doesn’t overcommit and just keeps on punching away at Nina from a distance until she quickly darts forwards and lays a good right hook that catches Nina off-guard. Agdal stumbles backwards yet quickly regains her footing, but DiDonato is already capitalizing on Agdal’s retreat, plugging leather into Nina’s body and breasts, revisiting on Agdal some of the punishment of the previous round. Agdal gets some good counterpunches in, but DiDonato fires off a pair of jabs that get Nina’s head. The bell rings and the two women go back to their corners with Emily taking the round on points, wide.

Round 4:

Agdal immediately starts out more defensively and at a distance, forcing DiDonato to either commit or begin circling. Emily opts for the latter, and the two women begin to circle, each jabbing at their opponent and landing blows with neither woman getting the advantage. Agdal starts planting her feet, sending a hook, then retreating to reasonable success, but Emily is always able to match her with her own hook later, and the two women are literally going blow for blow in the fourth. DiDonato starts to adopt a more hit and run strategy as the third minute starts, but Agdal prevents Emily from abusing her extra reach by getting in close and punishing Emily on the retreat, and neither woman gains a clear advantage by the bell. The judges decide that Emily and Nina fought to a tie in the fourth.

Round 5:

Emily and Nina emerge from their respective corners ready to go after each other again, a grim look of determination on each model’s face. Agdal is the first to strike, baiting DiDo with a left only to slam a right home into Emily’s mouth and a follow up to DiDonato’s breasts. DiDo gets her guard up and fires a solid punch that catches Nina in the shoulder, preventing her from launching another solid strike. Agdal backs off and Emily gets a jab off into Nina’s nose, but Agdal quickly retaliates with a shot to Emily’s jaw and then her belly and DiDo lets out a soft groan. Nina tries to capitalize and targets Emily’s head, but DiDonato repels Agdal’s offense and lines up a solid left. The bell rings right after Nina clocks Emily with a right cross, and Agdal is the one who takes the round on points, close.

Round 6:

Agdal the one with the momentum entering the sixth and she comes out of her corner blazing, catching DiDonato off guard. Nina wastes no time on connecting with a right that gets Emily’s chin and Emily staggers a bit as she gets her guard up. Agdal quickly pounces and drives home three punches to Emily’s belly and breasts, breaking down DiDonato’s guard and then rams home a right that sends Emily to the canvas! Nina smirks as she steps away and the ref begins his count over a moaning DiDonato. At three, Emily rolls onto her belly. At five, she’s up on two knees. Six. Seven. One foot under her and a knee. Eight. Nine. Emily gets up and before the ref can even ask her if she’s ready to go, she tells him to back off and the two women resume fighting. Agdal trying to press the attack on DiDonato, but Emily staves her off. Nina starts to dart in and out, but Emily pounds home a right that catches Agdal as she advances and the Danish model wobbles on her legs! DiDonato now the one who pounds away at her opponent’s body, and she leverages her power as she plugs leather into Agdal’s tummy. Nina lets out an audible moan and Emily slams a right that breaks Agdal’s guard and then smacks a left into Nina’s jaw and the Danish model goes down! Now Emily is the one to the corner as the ref begins his count. At three, Agdal moans a bit more and tries to move around. Four. Five. Nina gets her arms underneath her. Six. Seven. One knee. Eight. Nine. Nina tries to get up but she faceplants on the canvas! Ten. Your winner by KO6, Emily DiDonato!

After:

Emily beams as she picks up a victory in her tenth FCBA fight, raising her arms up high and showing off her toned model physique and curves. After enjoying the atmosphere, Emily trots over to Nina, bending over to whisper in her ears, “I told you so” before leaving the ring.

DiDonato jubilant as she talks to the press: “Hey, I told you Nina got a lot of press early on and then fell off. Now as for my future,” Emily pauses, savoring the moment, “I have plenty of fights left in me, and there are some women who I know I want to meet in the ring to prove that I’m the better woman. There are some other beefs I want to settle.”

Agdal furious as she comes in for her interview: “DiDonato got lucky – I got her down first and she got lucky. She’s still a nobody? How many of you heard about her before Fates signed her? Nobody! She’s going to go belly up soon because she doesn’t have what it takes to be a top lightweight, and she’ll always be second fiddle to Swift while both are at Fates” Nina angrily gets up and leaves, leaving the press to wonder if this feud is remotely close to being settled.
