TESS VALMORE

The first Asylum fight of the new year was a shocker. Levy entered the ring as Front Streets lead flyweight and ranked as number eight in the flyweights. She didn’t leave that way as she suffered a shocking upset at the hands of Kieman Shipka. who I had never heard of before the card was announced. Levy had a slight lead going into the sixth when she got hurt by a couple counters and ended up in the ropes just taking punches and not responding and the fight was stopped with Shipka getting a TKO6

Lil Reinhart continues to impress, She won with a fourth round KO of India Eisley. It was Eisley’s debut, but Reinhart is not exactly a veteran. She should move up in rankings

Gemma Arterton had to come from behind to beat Artemis Sosa in her debut bout. Sosa dropped Arterton in the first. Sosa had a four point lead at the end of five and still had the lead at the end of eight. Her hope of winning her debut fight went by the boards when Arterton caught her with a right uppercut that put her down of the count. It was not an impressive win for Arterton. The question now is, is Sosa that good or did Arterton just have a bad night even though she won

The rest of the bouts went as expected with Swan, Hill and Stewart all winning.
