TESS VALMORE

The 20th Anniversary PPV was a huge card of 41 bouts with all four of the titles up for grabs. None of the titles changed hands. Michelle Williams turned back Lilly Collins to retain the flyweight title in her sixth title defense. The bantam title contest was a great fight that went 12 rounds with Dobrev retaining the title. Danes retired after the bout. Winstead looked terrific in pounding Palicki into a stupor and Righetti was Righetti, in KOing Ferguson in eight to retain the welter crown

In the flyweights, Stewart upset Portman and Scerbo got back on the winning track by beating Vikander. Carter edged closer to the Hall of Fame, but is not there yet. Danielle Campbell’s loss in that fight, put her top ten ranking in jeopardy. Watson beat Roberts in the battle of the “Emmas’ and should remain in the top ten

In the bantams, the big wins were Kosarin’s win over Scodelario and Olsen beating of Lynch. Lilly won as expected as did Winnick. McCarthy’s win over Beckinsale was not expected, but then not terribly surprising. She is going to be hard to live with now as I have to sit next to her at the Asylum

There were no surprises in the lightweight bouts. Strahovski should get a big boost in the top ten with her win over Swift. Rohrback’s win over Swan should help her. Ambrosio and Jenner’s wins were expected.

In the welters the big wins belonged to Tahnee Atkinson and Hillary Rhoda. Prinsloo surprised me with a win over Taylor Hill. Freeman beat Nolin, whose use by date has long past

Now to what amounted to the shame of the FCBA. In the 20th Anniversary card, the FCBA in full collusion with the incompetently run Chimera, whose real manager hides behind the name of McMahon. intentionally arranged a bout to humiliate the GOAT, the one fighter who had done more to popularize the FCBA than anyone. Theron, 16 years older, 20 pounds lighter and years past her prime was put into the ring with a top two welter in her prime. This bout should have never been allowed. This bout was not to highlight Upton, who had nothing to gain in this bout, but to humiliate Theron. They succeeded The FCBA knew Theron had no chance, but Theron surprisingly did not make it easy for “Kate The Great”. Is this the way the FCBA is telling the GOAT You’re finished, we don’t need you anymore? Let's hope this disgusting episode in never repeated.

We have previously said, Tractorpull coined term “Golden Goddess” and applied it to Theron. The name belongs to her and to no one else. The name is not up for grabs as a trophy. Tractorpull will not allow Upton or any one else to use the name.
