Kyra Santoro vs Allison Holker II

BEFORE:

Definitely a few people still left scratching their heads at Holloway Boxing’s release of Ms Allison Holker in May last month, with the bulky blonde winning all three of her three matches and seemingly doing no wrong to incur such an early dismissal from her old stable. One of those three girls she managed to beat was none other than the VIXENs’ Kyra Santoro, in an upset victory scored back in November of last year.

“I don’t want to answer any questions, stable-wise,” Allison getting the obvious out of the way early. “I just want to concentrate on my rematch tonight with Kyra. You know, I put her away last time in six rounds, so I’m quite sure that I’m capable of doing that again. Santoro should know when to stand her ground and when to quit. This fight, however, is going to prove to all the haters out there that I still have what it takes to put people like Santoro away, with or without a stable.”

Santoro trying to smile sweetly from her own corner, but that bitter memory of getting knocked out last November still vivid in her mind. “Support is everything. I don’t know the exact circumstances of Allison’s departure, and I’m not here trying to guess, but what I do know is that without a stable backing her, her chances of making it to the very top just got a whole lot dimmer. I’m hoping to capitalise on her misfortune with this rematch. I’ve learned a lot from our previous fight, and think I have the tools to put Holker away for good.”

Apparently, Kyra’s new BFF, Alexis Ren, believes in her prospects as well, with the resident Ice Queen letting out a WHOOP of encouragement from the side as Kyra ends off at the mic, before both ladies shoot Holker death stares out of the corner of their eyes.

Still, it’s going to be just Santoro in that ring tonight, and as the two women face off in the middle of the stage, it’s a small wonder to see how Santoro still towers over Allison with a four-inch height advantage, but Allison making up for it with a well-toned and fighting-fit body. The crowd lets out a cheer as the two girls pose for the cameras with their fists cocked at each other’s chin.

Fight night is ready to rumble hours later as both these ladies enter the ring, bouncing on their toes in corners. Kyra in a dark grey sports bra and white bikini bottom, red gloves on either hand. Allison going for a loose white top and hot denim shorts, black gloves for herself. Referee waves his own hands and HERE we go with ten rounds of Bantamweight action!

ROUND 1:

Girls trade headshots in the opening minute, staying at jabbing distance but boy do they make full use of the opportunity to fire punches at each other. Kyra landing at least three straight shots into Allison’s face, and Holker responding in kind with three of her own, and the two girls end up starting to trade body shots on instinct, perhaps mutually deciding to test to see whose abs are befitting the title of the fitter woman. Santoro however surprising the blonde with a rocking shot across the face mid-combination, whereas Allison is still thumping hooks off the side of the tummy. The fitter blonde sent reeling a couple of steps as a result, has to contend with Santoro giving chase with more jabs peppering her head. Bell rings and it’s an inspired lesson in how to steal the round from your opponent!

ROUND 2:

Kyra must be taking some lessons from Alexis Ren as she’s showing plenty of aggression that’s uncharacteristic of her persona. She comes forward guns blazing once again, and Holker meets her in the middle, fully prepared to throw down as well. Girls exchange pot-shots into the face, each snapping the head backwards with straight fists landing on the nose and lips, but then Allison returning to her body blows as Santoro great powers barrs those stiff shots sent into the tummy. Kyra’s wild charge doesn’t look like such a great idea by this point - maybe she lacks the menace to go all out apeshit on her opponent. In full retreat, she manages to score counter-jabs into Allison’s face, but appears to the rest of the arena as though she’s just trying to keep her head afloat. Judges giving the round back to Allison Holker by a small margin.

ROUND 3:

Kyra should try utilising some of that power she demonstrated recently, with wins against Joanna Krupa, regardless of whether it was JMD or regular action. She spends the first minute trying to survive multiple jabs thrown at her head by Allison, her back almost hitting the ropes and giving her opponent a sudden free-for-all chance to decimate her. But no, Santoro keeping herself moving, swerving backwards to avoid another one-two punch that’s flung at her head, before PLOWING a right hand straight into Allison’s face from the side! THERE we go! Hook landing hard on the cheek rocks the new Free Agent back to her corner, and Santoro not shy about following through with more powerful right hands that crashinto her guard, even one or two making it through to ROCK Holker on the chin repeatedly! Allison looks absolutely gobsmacked as she collapses back into the ropes then falls back down onto her haunches down It’s an early KNOCKDOWN for Kyra Santoro!

What did we tell you about this girl’s power? Alexis Ren pleased as punch herself by ringside, clapping loudly for her fellow Vixen as Santoro makes her way to neutral corner, fully expecting this fight to continue past the third round. But Allison appears to be having some difficulty rising back up, shaking her head hard on her knees, still looking dazed. Referee runs all the way up to an 8… 9… 10!! And he waves her chances off just like that! Kyra Santoro gets a taste of her revenge!

Official Decision: Kyra Santoro defeats Allison Holker via KO3!

AFTER:

After putting away Joanna Krupa, Melia Kreiling, and even before that, Ginny Gardner, Ms Santoro is on the biggest winning streak of her career thus far, hoping to start and end this year on a similarly clean slate. With a victory over Allison Holker, she makes it 4-0, and what a bittersweet win it is after getting knocked out by the former Holloway starlet last November. Santoro roars back at the crowd as she puts the blonde away in half of that time needed. She embraces Ren at the corner, who’s wildly gesturing towards Allison still lying by the ropes, no doubt suggesting that Kyra seal the win with an offensive post-match attack of some sorts. Santoro certainly looking uncertain - it’s beyond uncharacteristic of her persona to even think of something that unsportswomanlike.

She makes her way over to Holker, who’s still lying on her back and getting checked over by medics at this point. Kyra stares down at her former opponent for a good long while, her chest rising and falling, before she unleashes a tirade of pent-up stomps on her rival! OH no! What has Ren turned this sweetheart into??

Santoro finally leaving the ring with Ren, big smiles on both their faces at this new partnership slash deal with the devil. Holker still writhing in the ring and contemplating her future, taking a moment to catch her own breath before demanding a third rubber match some time in the future in order to break the stalemate.
