Shenae Grimes vs Sarah Jeffery

BEFORE: "Here we are again, another day, another undercard opener for me! Bwoah!", Shenae Grimes has realized she might never become a Main Event ticket seller but she hopes to steal some headlines to rise above Jessica Lowndes' sparring partner fate going forward. Several pundits think she could extend her career by riding the go-to-girl wave and serve as a benchmark for all these upstarts trying to make a career in celebrity boxing even though Grimes is only 29 years old and has plenty of juice left in the tank. In fact, Sarah Jeffery is one of these upstarts who seeks immediate profit from knocking the former 902010 lead heroine off her tracks tonight: "Let's get real, Shenae had her moments but she's gonna be stuck on TV forever! She doesn't have the IT factor like I do! Enough with these trips to the Asylum! I'm gonna win big and this starts right here! No excuses!"

Shenae Grimes wears a black crop top, red panties & red gloves. Medium lenght dark brown hair in loose curls. Sarah Jeffery wears a red crop top, matching hotpants & white gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a half-up ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.

Round 1:
No excuses or not but Sarah's high guard is woefully exposed early in the going as she gets blitzed by the older brunette who picks her off up the middle and just gashes her face from both flanks. Being Jessica Lowndes' sparring partner requires some attitude and Shenae pours it all over the unmanaged upstart who just can't live with this jabbing pace at all. She gets bumped to her heels but not before too long she's brushing the ropes with her butt as Grimes just pounds her backwards and leaves stranded on the turnbuckle when she really picks up the heat. Sarah gets crushed with more head shots and tails off behind a desperate earmuff as the older brunette keeps piling more leather until the bell halts this one-sided beating.

Round 2:
Sarah uses some nifty footwork just to stay out of Shenae's range and that's just about the best idea she could have put into place as she refuses to slug it with the aggressive rival who actually thrives on this defensive approach. Shenae realizes she has the upstart spooked and flies in with more aerial assault; Sarah can only duck as many of those as she can before she gets whacked on the temple and drops back onto the ropes again. She clinches the older brunette but Grimes belts her on the tummy several times to gain separation and lands a vicious uppercut on the jaw that sinks Jeffery into spasms late. Ugh! Shenae gets vocal and demands Sarah to show some balls but she'd be better off knocking her down instead of the taunting regardless of the rampant ovation she receives from the Toronto audience.

Round 3:
Sarah needs to show some offensive magic or else it's gonna be a whitewash but she just can't steer her jabs on target and gets duly outworked in close range when Grimes injects some pace into her tactics. It seems like Jeffery is on her way to become Shenae's sparring partner at best following another belting drive that stuffs the younger actress in the center of the ring while Grimes seeks a haymaker finish outright. She drops the high-volume attack and settles to bash Sarah right up the chimney with the fellow brunette unable to get away from close range but those efforts bounce off the guard and Jeffery rallies back with a dose of midsection punishment come the final minute. She stumbles into a slugging run almost by accident and forces Grimes to clinch her which earns the former 90210 heroine a lenghty pep-talk from coach Eva Mendes during the interval.

Round 4:
Shenae goes back to the hassling drill but Sarah covers it up and jumps into an overhand counter mode which earns her some quick success as Grimes gets nailed a couple of times on the lips and has to think better off it. However she just can't back off wholesale and both women engage in a gruesome slugging to raise more volume around the arena come the second minute. Punch-for-punch attack leaves Jeffery bruised but she squashes Shenae's lips along the way and belts her on the belly button before a crushing uppercut rattles the LCA sparring partner onto her heels and allows Jeffery to thump her onto the ropes where she plugs more leather on the exposed breadbasket. Grimes is shut down for remainder of the round and runs out the clock with another lenghty clinch which earns her more misery from coach Mendes.

Round 5:
Sarah believes she can turn this fight around now and follows on the slugging pattern, she lands the initial combo on the swollen lips but fails to duck away from a wicked right hook that nails her on the nose and wobbles into a brutal uppercut on the chin moments later. Ugh! Sarah trips over her own feet and just can't raise her arms in time as Grimes SMOKES her with a nose-busting hook that spins her to the side with a loud whimper. Another haymaker on the run? You betcha! Shenae WHACKS the stranded opponent on the left brow ridge AND SENDS JEFFERY CRASHING DOWN ON THE CANVAS!!! Uh-oh!! Sarah goes limp as she tries to battle back to her feet and collapses on her right side when the count reaches eight so the ref has no choice but to wave this one off! KO5 Shenae Grimes!!!

AFTER: That's a good win for the Toronto faithful who keeps taunting the fallen brunette to the point Sarah is on the verge of tears. She remains woozy upon getting back up and refuses to seek eye contact with Shenae who demands more high-profile opportunities going forward: "I hear Selena is moving up to bantamweight so why the hell do you need an open competition for that spot? Just promote me and..."

"Jessica Lowndes vetoed it and you damn know it!", Eva Mendes provides the clear cut answer and one doesn't argue with the Lioness Alpha unless you can become the Alpha! Shenae just can't so she pours more insult on Jeffery instead: "Right! I'm still better off than this sucker! Call the Philly boys, wimp! You're all Asylum cannon fodder and not much frickin' else!"
