BEFORE:

"My FCBA debut," says Ellie with a smile. "I hear there might be some openings in this stable soon. Maybe I'll just have to go out tonight and open some eyes."

"See, here's the thing," says a hard-eyed Ariel, "She's not going to OPEN any eyes, because I'm going to CLOSE hers."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that's 'There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back' by Shawn Mendes, and here comes the star of that video, beautiful redhead Ellie Bamber!"

McCarthy: "And, we're getting back to our NORMAL theme at these things...NO FCBA WINS!"

Cassie: "I'd point out that this is her FCBA debut, but then you'd say something stupid about YOU having FCBA wins BEFORE you had an FCBA fight..."

McCarthy: "Because I DID. And, SHUT UP, SCABBO!"

O'Dell (sighing): "Bamber into the ring and helped off with the robe to reveal a black two piece and a body that's gotten the attention of the crowd. And, that's 'I Knew You Were Trouble' pounding through the arena, but that's not Taylor Swift singing, it's the young lady coming to the ring right now, Ariel 'Dangerous Curves' Winter!"

Tess: "Winter a girl who's done pretty well since coming to Front Street. Lots of folks think she has a bright future. But, she hasn't secured her roster spot yet, so, this might be a good fight to win."

O'Dell: "Ariel into the ring and helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve. She's wearing that white two-piece we've seen before and the crowd showing its appreciation. Ladies are about ready. Time for some picks. Tess likes Ariel. Mac?"

McCarthy: "NO FCBA wins. Winter."

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "Unanimous for the first fight. And Ariel quickly to work. She's stepping to, taking the fight to Bamber right away. Ellie trying to get some space here. Definitely doesn't want to be in the phone booth with Winter, but, that's the way this is going at the moment, and the redhead doesn't like it..."

Tess: "If these are the terms, this fight isn't going to last very long..."

O'Dell: "One would think not. This is Ariel's bread and butter right here. She's in tight, working body, thumping those ribs and testing that tummy, then going upstairs with hard, short hooks and uppercuts. Bamber not able to get anything going in there. Just trying to tie up and cover up..."

McCarthy: "Kid's got to get the feet moving. She's not moving enough and Winter's making her pay playing the Campbell card."

O'Dell: "Final twenty seconds of a very rude introduction to the FCBA for Ellie Bamber. Ariel digging, digging, digging. Bamber tying up, trying to get a break, but Winter simply punching free, landing a SOLID right to the head and there's the bell. Not at all close in the first. Winter by a mile."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Second begins with Bamber giving ground and getting that long left hand on target. Redhead has a big reach advantage, and she's using it well now, circling back and right, creating a little time to get her jab on target and slow Winter's forward motion..."

McCarthy: "THIS is what I'm talking about. Move. Stick. Move. Stick. It's death to fighters who fight like Campbell..."

Cassie: "Then why didn't YOU use it? Because Neve beat YOU like a rented mule..."

McCarthy: "She did NO...I was ROBB...SHUT UP, SCABBO!"

O'Dell: "Ellie's got something going right now. She's got the geometry down. She has the space she wants. She's able to get right hands on target behind those jabs. This fight has taken a completed 180 degree turn, and, after Winter ran roughshod in the first, it's Bamber controlling the second."

Tess: "She's definitely gotten into a rhythm."

O'Dell: "Has, indeed, and, as we come down the stretch, she's continuing to press the advantage, scoring with both hands and keeping Ariel at bay. Winter just can't get to her spots right now, and it's made all the difference. Five seconds to go. One more combinatiion from Bamber and there's the bell. Ellie. Wide."

Tess: "And, we're even at 19."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Bamber back to the circle and drop, but Winter beginning to use the right theorems and corollaries to solve this little geometric problem. She's angling forward, slipping Bamber's jab, getting inside, crowding, banging body. Ellie trying to tie up, but Winter leveraging, opening her up for more body work..."

Cassie: "Truck, send a bucket of water out here. Mac's head is smoking from trying to figure out what theorems and corollaries are..."

McCarthy: "I KNOW what a corollary is! It's a heart attack!"

O'Dell: "I might just have an aneurysm before this night is over. Winter working body. Bamber ties up, finally gets a break from the referee. She's working the jab again, but, again, Ariel inside, WHACKING that body and ROCKING ELLIE WITH A RIGHT UPPIE! Bamber staggered and DROPPED with a left hook!"

Tess: "THAT landed pretty cleanly..."

O'Dell: "Redhead down on her right side. Ariel to a neutral corner. Referee's count at three. Four. Five. Not much movement from Ellie. Six. Seven Eight. Bamber rolls to her belly. Pushes to all fours at nine. TEN! It's OVER! Ellie still on hands and knees as the count passes her by and it's OVER! And your winner by KO3 is Ariel 'Dangerous Curves' Winter!"

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Ariel Winter, and, Ariel, tough second round, but you turned things in the third..."

Ariel: "She has reach and she knows how to use it. But. I've dealt with all this before. Once I got the angles down, well. You saw."

Tess: "Down under six months now until the Tenth Anniversary..."

Ariel: "You can stop right there. There's no QUESTION I've proven I deserve to be on this roster. And, if management doesn't think so, I'll go somewhere else and kick Front Street's A** for the next two decades!"
