BEFORE: Former BBU lightweight champion Malika Menard claims she's NOT out of her league tonight despite facing a future Hall of Famer Brooklyn Decker who tries to bounce back immediately following a costly loss to Courtney Tailor over the weekend which dropped her out of the JMDD title picture for the time being. Wear & tear plus jetlag could work against the Ohio native but she's not called "21st century Goddess" for nothing as she remains poised to follow a career path of Charlize Theron - which includes fighting on week-to-week basis which the South African mastered in the early 2000s.

Malika Menard wears a white crop top, matching hotpants & blue gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a custom ponytail. Brooklyn Decker wears a black & turquoise themed bikini set and silver gloves. Long blonde hair tied in a curled ponytail. Both fighters are barefoot. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the welterweight division.

Round 1:
Malika hopes to catch Brooklyn tired or downright running on fumes following the long jet trip and she dominates the early exchanges bursting into the blonde's chest which could be still hurting from that Courtney Tailor experience. She stuffs the American on her heels and keeps plugging away at the midriff while Decker just doesn't fire back at all which makes the French girl even more aggressive. She tries to smack Decker back to the ropes outright but gets clinched and has to make another go thereafter with Brooklyn still reeling and stuck in offensive neutral. Couple of big hits bounce off the belly button and Malika lands a promising uppercut on the jaw that appears to rattle the 'Goddess' but she escapes the trap with another predictable clinch.

Round 2:
Malika tries to follow up with another immediate body assault but Brooklyn keeps her at bay through superior overhand strikes that drops the brunette back wary of all that elite threat. Single-punching back & forth follows where Malika tries to convince herself she should be more aggressive but Decker still sticks the leather upstairs and makes the Frenchwoman think better off it. Menard kicks more sand anticipating when to attack but gets picked off with another overhand and Brooklyn easily neutralizes the former BBU champion despite barely moving into second gear according to several fans. Malika still smiles back at the audience after the bell but did she really impress anyone with that cagey display.

Round 3:
If Brooklyn is truly vulnerable tonight then Malika should explore her alleged weakness ASAP and she jumps into another aggressive route to move the Ohio model around. Brooklyn avoids the initial rush but eats single punches along the way while missing on the counter herself. It's like she wants to smoke Menard away with a single haymaker but it's easier said than done against a tricky opponent like Malika who knows her way around despite low-profile on the FCBA market. More back & forth striking that leads into another cagey stand-off and let's be honest, Menard just doesn't make the most of Decker's subpar attitude. The brunette wins the eye test battle but hasn't done anything to punish her opponent and some fans around the Ibiza club begin to wonder when will Brooklyn finally unleash the dragon?

Round 4:
It appears the Lioness camp has had enough of this slow-burner and Brooklyn catches Menard off guard with a huge right hand that nails her on the nose. Malika tries to swing back but bounces off the top of the blonde's shoulder and has to yield real estate in a hurry as Decker ups the tempo and begins to stalk her downstairs before a quick uppercut sends Menard reeling on the ropes. Malika shows enough wheels to bounce away to the right but it's Brooklyn who pounces on the chase and has the Frenchwoman running around for cover. Ain't gonna find it anywhere so she has to slug it out once Decker traps her in the corner come the final thirty second stretch where some good punches tear into Menard's guts and sink her behind a high earmuff. Decker cleans out shop but remains unmoved not to say bored judging her body language.

Round 5:
No more fancy takes from the French girl who awaits another quick blonde pounce but Brooklyn remains moody and refuses to jump into another high-octane attack. She's almost too shrewd to lure Menard into a slugging trap so the pace of this bout suddenly goes down the drain with Decker unwilling to attack and her opponent too scared to do it. Back & forth sizzle follows but nobody's gonna make an impression with these single punches so it feels like another wasted chance for the brunette in particular. She tries to be more aggressive in the final minute but eats a quick stinger on the boobs and backs off straight away with Brooklyn giggling at the bell. She knows Malika is struggling to live with her elite status and that's quite a bad look for the BBU champion.

Round 6:
Okay, here's a genuine eye opener as if those late giggles actually upset the French girl who tees off upstairs and literally catches Decker off guard. The American seems like she never expected such a quick bounce and before she knows it, Menard is blasting uppercuts on the boobs to follow the JMDD path that Courtney Tailor explored last week. That's the spirit and many BBU fans in the crowd begin to cheer for the dark-haired underdog who keeps piling more pressure and has Decker moaning against the run of play. Still, the intended haymaker is nowhere to be seen from the Ohio native and Malika drills the breadbasket during a furious leather rush before plugging Brooklyn's solar plexus in the process. She adds a belting hook on the liver area and DECKER TAKES A KNEE!!! Oh, my! That leaves the crowd stunned even if it was a tactical move from Brooklyn! Did the Frenchwoman land that one spot on target? Decker takes the full eight count before getting up and even the pundits are unsure if she's really hurt now. Malika stares at her with eyes wide open but the clock runs out on the potential clean-up mission as Decker moves sideways to avoid the body assault and bleeds out the clock amid wild cheers from the Ibiza fanbase.

Round 7:
Time to finish this one off! Malika smells the Upset of the Month and... and... WALKS into brutal hook on the jaw before Decker cripples her with a wild shot on the nose. Ugh! French model sinks on her knees and Brooklyn drills her on the jaw again to showcase the haymaker she was chasing all night long... Malika doesn't even have time to raise her gloves again as she gets SMOKED with a left uppercut on the chin that FOLDS HER LIKE A JACK-KNIFE on the spot! DOWN GOES MENARD!!! Proud brunette collapses face-down at the blonde's feet and she's outta here!!! KO7 Brooklyn Decker in come-from-behind fashion!!!

AFTER: How about that? The Goddess sucked the air out of the proverbial room literally seconds into the seventh and blitzed the former BBU champion into a complete heap with one good series. That's called elite especially when you consider the extremely short break since her last outing and the jetlag issue. It doesn't change the fact she applied a hand-brake for majority of this fight and Malika is guilty of showing the Ohio model way too much respect that she should have. Brooklyn kicks sand over the brunette's back and makes her way out of the ring which begs a question if she came to Ibiza for something else than a mere boxing fight. The Lioness entourage refuses to address any rumours including a potential top secret training session that would make the blonde ready for all these elite welter/JMDD operators on the other side of the pond.
