CBAD: Jessica Clements vs Cara Jocelyn Delevingne (Lightweight)

Jessica:

(24, 5’9, 6:0 FCBA, SIRENs)
Cara:
(27, 5’8, 8:9 FCBA, Free Agent)

BEFORE:
“Going unbeaten. That’s how I would describe my greatest accomplishment thus far,” Jessica saying with a confident smile. “Well, over here in the FCBA, at least. I’m not saying the girls here are less tough, but hey, it’s either that or I’m doing something else that’s right, at least.”

“Hmph. Proud little girl, isn’t she?” Cara scoffing back and flashing those dangerous long eyelashes at the audience. “She’s fought some tough competition for sure, but not against someone like me. It’s a little ironic that we both belong in the BBU, but I’ve flown all the way over here to America to kick her ass.”

Tonight is a special fight on home-VIX soil as the newest Siren import looks set to overtake her current winning record and establish herself strongly on both sides of the Atlantic, whereas Cara suffering a recent defeat at the hands of Lipa earlier this month, now looking for redemption. Girls face off at the podium and they’re about the same height and weight, with Clements’ slightly bulkier frame sure to slow her down, and Cara’s lankier body meaning she might get blown apart by her opponent’s power.

Only one way to find out: we’re in the ring hours later, preparing to kick things off proper. Clements in a flower-patterned bikini, red, white and orange fiery colours as she caps off the look with a pair black gloves. Cara bouncing on her toes in a simple white / pinkish-hued bra and panties set, tying on red gloves as she gets into position. HERE we go with ten rounds of Lightweight action!

ROUND 1:
Clements showing off her newly acquired skillset by lighting up Delevingne's face at the opening bell, pressurising the smaller woman with constant jab jab jab action that makes it look like an entirely one-sided affair. Cara's corner pulling their hair out already as their girl starts eating leather to the cheek, her guard too weak and flimsy to block all of Clement's combined power and speed. Cara getting in some occasional good hits throughout the three minutes as well, but each time she leaves herself open to blatant counterattack from the Siren, grunting out loud as Clements powers through another return fist into her face before she manages to scurry away again, having learnt her lesson to not go toe-to-toe with Clements. Wide round goes to the brunette.

ROUND 2:
Pundits have Cara pegged as the underdog here tonight, and rightly so. The British model / actress / boxer has had her fair share of wins and losses over the years, but her continued popularity still hasn't won her a permanent home thus far. She proves her skill with some excellent footwork, surprising Clements when she evades her punches now, especially after having succumbed to them in the previous round. Clements chasing after a bone like she's fully entitled to grabbing it between her teeth, shaking it loose, now shocked when her jabs hit empty air and Cara begins firing back with her own jabs from afar, that begin to slam into her face. Delevingne's lanky form giving her the agility to evade most of her bigger does and she puts it to good use this round.

ROUND 3:

Clements however doubles down and chases after her opponent with even more tenacity. Cara gets caught by a stray right that slams into her arms, almost throws her off her feet there and then. But the Brit model rallies, recovers her composure soon after, takes a couple more jabs to the arms before she manages to circle back out of reach. Quite a scare there as Jessica almost scored an early knockdown! Instead, Clements tries to floor the accelerator and go after the blonde, sensing a possible victory parade. But all she gets for her efforts are a few hits to the body before Cara slaps her own fists into her lips, keeping her away with her jab and jump tactics. Clements taking it wide for now but doesn't like the fact that she ain't scoring damage as much as she'd like to.

ROUND 4:
Delevingne dominant! Brit blonde landing a flurry to the nose early in the round, lightning hands making Clements grunt out loud, forced to cover up and scatter! Even someone lightweight like Cara can pack A punch as she landed those punches in quick succession. Clements with a look of frustration as she covers up and blocks more jabs, but Delevingne breathing steadily and advancing on her, methodical chop chop chop of forward attacks landing all over her body and arms. Jessica takes a big swing to dissuade the Brit from advancing further into no man’s land, a one last effort to stop her before it’s too late. And it’s only then does Delevingne hang back, satisfied with the damage she's inflicted in these three minutes. Round ends with Clements looking like the fool and steaming back to corner, thinking to herself this is harder than it looks!

ROUND 5:
Only question is how long Delevingne can sustain her momentum, and whether lightning can strike twice? The Brit tries to do exactly that with another quick sprint forward and pounding jabs upon Clement's guard, but this time, the Siren is ready, blocking a majority before slamming a return hook fast and furious into the side of her head! Delevingne should have seen that one coming! But her pride perhaps making her complacent as the Brit is flung halfway across the ring! Then, she’s forced to dodge more wild lunges at her head by Jess Clements, who's eager to take the fight back to her corner and put the blonde down to the canvas. Cara groaning but surviving, her body takes a couple more straight hands until the bell rings and the referee has to come between them.

ROUND 6:
Clements perhaps not having faced a more slippery opponent than she has here tonight, and you can tell by her heavy breathing and slower movements that she's getting winded. Delevingne having done more catwalks and movie stunts of her own, perhaps, easily maintaining her pace tonight, and that steady stream of jabs that pester Clements to the face, preventing her from getting in close. Clements still manages a timely swing or two that connects with the arms or smacks into her side, but the brave Brit takes the abuse and dishes it right back out: flurry of fists FLY in both directions and it's Clements who's LIFTED off her feet when a snap uppercut LANDS STIFF to the jawline! Holy moly! Jessica's vision a wild blur as she collapses onto her back, wide-eyed seeing stars and wondering where the hell that uppercut came from!! BOOM - the newest Siren laid out on her back and has to struggle to recover by the count of 8, looking embarrassed and red-faced. Cara's fans in the audience finally sitting up and taking notice, as the Brit steals the round in resounding fashion! Could she possibly steal this fight??

ROUND 7:
Clements in trouble as she fends off more pesky attacks from Delevingne, whose late round knockdown has emboldened her plenty. Cara harassing her with relentless fashion, jamming fists into the face and poking at tummy repeatedly, driving Jessica across the ring in all directions. Clements scrambling to find a counter as she passes the second minute, then EATS another stiff combination to the nose and lips, making her see stars again! Cara capitalising: a double hook SWIPE across the challenger’s face, and DOWN GOES CLEMENTS FOR THE SECOND TIME TONIGHT! Jessica left groaning as she's put onto her side and this time, she stays there! Referee hits the 10-count and it's all over for her undefeated streak!

Official Decision: Cara Delevingne defeats Jessica Clements via KO7!

AFTER:

Cara Delevingne beaming widely as she's congratulated by everyone in her corner, turning a grateful hand to the crowd as she receives pats on the back, hugs all round and of course, the rabid roar of approval from the crowds.

Clements still groggy and breathing hard, seated on her butt with her back to the ropes, disheveled brown hair partially covering her shocked expression that says it all: she did NOT expect this outcome tonight and neither did her corner!

"I pounded her out pretty good, didn't I?" Cara laughing to reporters later. "Now imagine how much arse I would kick if I were officially part of a stable?"
