TESS VALMORE

I’m not sure when the Wiz is going to announce his lineup for next year, but for some Front Street fighters, this was their last chance to make enough of an impression to remain members of the stable.

McKinney has had a good record with Front Street being 10-2 in the last two years. Her big win was over Regan last year. Maybe I underestimated Ratchford. I thought McKinney would have an easy time. She didn’t. What I thought would last four, lasted eight. McKinney won, but was it enough?

Arterton doesn’t have to worry about next year and she didn’t have to worry much about her opponent. This was nothing more than a stay busy fight that Arterton chose to end in the fifth.

In the lightweights Taylor Hill looked good beating Joanne Kelly in four. My guess she will remain in Street. Katie Perry faced a fading Erica Durance. Perry won, but it is too little too late?

Bennet and Winter, who had already been renewed for next year, had little trouble with their opponents.

We await the lineup for next year. There will be some new free agents, but who?
