TESS VALMORE

The Watson/McNamara bout was a basic mismatch. Granted McNamara gave a better account of herself that I expected, but in the end she lost and that was no surprise.

Of the four bantams on the card, Lynch was the lowest ranked and she had lost to Olsen earlier this year. Olsen was ranked higher, but that is probably going to change as Lynch KOed Olsen. It should be noted that Lynch had taken two of three from Ren who was fighting later in this card.

Larson came back after her defeat at the hands of Lovato in September to beat Ratajkowski. Larson survived a fourth round knockdown to win. Would you believe the fight ended in a KO. Surprising isn’t it.

After wasting time fighting JMDD, DiDonato is back on the title hunt. The Rohrbach fight was a tune up for her big match with Ambrosio on the upcoming PPV. Rohrbach is not an easy opponent and DiDonato increased her chances of a title fight assuming a win in the October PPV.

Barros had lost to Krsmanovic in her very first fight. If she expected revenge, she didn’t get it. I think that evens Barros career record in conventional bouts.

Ren lost the rubber match with Swift and also her title as the Queen of the Ice Hotel. Not a big deal as that title and four bucks can probably get you a pumpkin spice latte at Starbucks.

Prinsloo has a brief stay in the top ten. Very brief. Now she may be lucky to stay in the top twenty as she has lost four of her last five. While the loss hurt Prinsloo, it won’t help Ferguson’s ranking of a title shot hopes much, if at all.

I note that VIXENS’ next stable war is against Chimera. Is this for real? Is this a joke? Vixens have three flyweights ranked three, four and ten. Chimera has one average flyweight. Chimera has one good bantam If the plan is for five fights, three will have to come from the welters and lightweights. Chimera has only two welters one of whom has won only two fights. They have three lightweights, one has never won a fight, one is average and the other a fighter who is six years past her prime and whose abilities management graphically pointed out in the past fight comments of the 5/26/17 Kloss fight. Since that time that lightweight has beaten only two of eleven younger fighters, both considered upsets. She now fights cougars and VIXENS don’t have one This is a slam dunk for the VIXENS It should be reconsidered.
