Charlize Theron vs. Navi Rawat (Cougar)

BEFORE:

Golden Goddess continues her Cougar Tour with a stop she's, surprisingly, never made before. Navi Rawat is a contemporary who somehow evaded Theron's attention during Rawat's run in 2007. Navi spent that year beating girls like Righetti, Nichols, Casta, and Bell, but, before the inevitable battle with the GOAT occurred, it all fell apart for Rawat. She lost management, got only six fights over the next three years and managed a single win before disappearing from FCBA rings for good. But, not having fought at the top level in a decade hasn't diminished Rawat's confidence. "Fact is, I was as good as any fighter in the FCBA in 2007," the brunette beauty says. "And I proved it. But, when the Crimson Furies went under, no one would touch me. They were all afraid and it killed my career. But, I'm back now to prove I was as good as Theron THEN and I'm as good as she is NOW."

"There weren't many good fighters who, over the years, didn't get into a ring with me," says the blonde with a smile. "Navi is one of those. We fix that tonight. And, I destroy the illusions she's apparently carried all these years."

ROUND ONE:
Theron right to work. She's using that length and reach advantage very well. She's sticking that long left jab in Navi's face over and over again, then following on with hard, accurate right hands. Rawat, meanwhile, looks every bit like a girl who hasn't been in an FCBA ring in a decade. She looks rusty, slow, lost. She's taking a thumping from, arguably, the best technical fighter of all time, and she has zero answers. Theron in a nice rhythm, getting what she wants when she wants it, and doing just about anything she wants to do. Rawat's corner shouting at their fighter to move more, but Navi isn't listening or can't listen. Instead, she's just gamely taking a pasting. Last twenty seconds sees Rawat land a nice combination that finally slows the Theron train, but it's too little, too late. Charlize wide and up 10-9 after one.

ROUND TWO:
Rawat seems to have shaken off the rust. Now she's angling, getting to spots where she can punch. She's slipping some of those long jabs, and giving as much as she's getting. Theron unconcerned, keeps boxing with. She's clearly expected some resistance here and isn't surprised now that she's getting it. Navi showing nice foot movement and excellent defensive skills, moving head and hands very well. All seems to be coming back to the lovely brunette now, even after a decade on the sidelines. She's boxing skillfully and holding her own with one of the best in the business. Last minute of the round sees the work rate increase as both fighters look to not only gain the points but take over the proceedings. No one succeeds in the later, but Navi gets the former narrowly, evening things at 19.

ROUND THREE:
Rawat really getting going. She's pressuring now. THIS is what we used to see more than a decade ago. She's working forward behind the left, forcing Charlize to give ground. Theron, all of a sudden, back footed as the brunette watches the years fall away. There's even the hint of a smile on Navi's face, as it all comes back to her. She's got everything working. The jab is landing, she's able to build combinations off of it. She's got her opponent on the defensive and uncomfortable. Theron trying to manage, slow this down. She doesn't want a slugfest with the brunette, but that's what Navi's working to establish, and, late in the round, she's just about got Theron where she wants her, landing hard shot to head and face right to the bell When it rings? Rawat. Wide. And up 29-28."

ROUND FOUR:
Navi continuing to press. Theron using a drop step now to gain a little extra time, but even that isn't helping much. Rawat's so aggressive, but effectively so. She's getting her offense on and not allowing Charlize to get her feet set. Instead, there's too much back pedaling as the brunette looks for time and space to get her own offense going. Two minutes in, everything changes. BOOM! Charlize a blistering right hand counter and Navi is GOBSMACKED! Rawat stumbles backward and gets CLOCKED with a straight right. DOWN. GOES. RAWAT! Navi crashes to her back in the middle of the ring as Theron heads for a neutral corner. Brunette stricken. Looking up at the referee as he begins to count. She tries to sit up again and again, but can't get it done. She's still trying when the count passes her by. It's OVER! And your winner by KO4 is Charlize Theron!

AFTER:
CT takes a minute to go check on/talk to Navi in the aftermath and is all smiles in the post-fight. "It's a shame this girl didn't keep getting fights," the blonde says with a shake of the head. "You can see what she still has. If she'd been working consistently the last ten years? Maybe she'd be in the Hall of Fame. Who knows?"
