MMA special: Olivia Munn vs Scarlett Johansson

 
You could say this fight is over a decade in the making, both Olivia Munn and Scarlett Johansson have risen to the top of the bantamweight division in their careers, but have shockingly never laced up the gloves against each other.

Now though both women find themselves on the free agency lot, when this fight was first announced by a start up MMA called "Elite MMA" as their maiden cards main event, lots of people wondered if it was both women's attempts at catching managers eyes back in the FCBA.

As the fight neared footage of the women training in MMA cages were shown, both women throwing themselves hard into the training it was shown.

In Olivia's video after she finished ground and pounding a punch bag, she takes off her gloves and says to the camera "Scarlett you've been lucky you haven't run into me till now, with more ways for me to kick your ass I don't see why you think you can beat me" pretty empathic in why she thinks she will be victorious.

Meanwhile in Scarlett's video, she finishes taking down a sparring partner with a double leg take down; after some grappling, Scarlett submits her partner with an arm bar.

Taking out her gumshield, Scarlett wipes her brow before saying to the camera "Olivia you always talk too much for me, I am simply going to step into the cage and enjoy snapping you in two bytch" full of confidence herself.

At the weigh in the crowd of press and spectators was buzzing, first on the stage was Olivia wearing a violet silk robe, she smiled as she waved to the crowd, no hint of worry on her face.

Next up came Scarlett on stage, she wore a black robe and her eyes were firmly on Olivia, only giving the crowd a quick wave as she was all business about this fight.

The crowd was told this was to be a 115lbs contest; full contact MMA rules, with three rounds of action possible, making the crowd joking says ooh after each sentence.

First on the scale was Olivia; taking her robe off to reveal a skimpy violet bikini that definitely didn't hide much, flexing her arms as she showed off her toned body, Olivia weighed in 115lbs dead on the money, she grins as she looks over at Scarlett.

Whose turn comes up and Scarlett certainly shows off, throwing her black robe at Olivia, who has to be held back, while Johansson poses hands on hips as she comes in at 114lbs.

The face off is intense to say the least, they grind foreheads as organisers are on hand to pull them apart if things turn nasty, the fighters stick to threaten each other with a brutal knockout in the cage tomorrow night when they fight.

Separating with no incident as some boos ring out, most though are looking forwards to two stunning warriors clashing in the cage, knowing only one of them with leave with their pride intact.

Fight night:
We are live in the Honda Center in California for the main event of the event, three rounds of celebrity MMA action between two of Hollywood's most beautiful and toughest women fight it out.

First out the curtain is the Oklahoma native Olivia Munn, she is 39 years old, she stands 5'4, in her fighting career she has held the FCBA bantamweight title in boxing, tonight marks her MMA debut.

Stepping into the cage, Olivia is wearing a white sports bra and tight looking trunks with "Munn" in black letters on the waistband, with black MMA gloves on, while her brunette hair is tied back into a braid.

Olivia feels the mesh as she heads around the ring, getting to know her surroundings as her fans chant her name, she stops in her corner with her coach outside the cage telling her to show why she is the baddest woman in celebrity fighting.

Scarlett heads out now with her coach behind her, the New York native comes in at 5'3, she is 35 years old, while she is a former FCBA bantamweight champion, two time FCBA flyweight champion and even a former FCBA JMD champ.

Stepping into the cage; Scarlett is wearing a black sports bra, matching trunks with "black widow" in red letters on her waistband, black MMA gloves, her blonde hair is kept short.

Scarlett is giving her laser like focus on Olivia, stretching as her coach tells her to make Olivia regret accepting this fight, knock her out or tap her out.

The referee brings the fighters to the center of the ring for final instructions, a duelling chant breaks out as both women seem more focused on their rival then the outside world.

Returning back to their corners, the cage door is locked so there is no escape for either women, the bell rings to start three rounds of five minutes.

Round 1:
The first minute is tentative, for all their talk before the fight, neither wanted to make a mistake this early, leading with jabs and inside leg kicks to start.

It is Scarlett who steps things up by firing a right into the cheek of Olivia, then a left kick into the side of her rival to make her grunt out and step back.

Feeling confident after that combo, Scarlett goes for another with a jab/right kick to the outside of Munn's leg, with Olivia showing good footwork to step back and counter with a left across the cheek of the blonde.

Leading to both standing and trading, the crowd standing and roaring the fighters on as they focus on attack more then defence, heads getting knocked back and legs stung with kicks.

Till they both retreat back if on command, eyes locked in a hate filled stare, when they move closer together, Scarlett throws a feint left which lifts the guard of Olivia up, allowing Scarlett to dive down so she can single leg take down Olivia to her side.

Suddenly as the round ends it's finally minute, Olivia has to wrap her legs around Scarlett's waist to stop her freely grappling her, still some hammer like blows catch Olivia on her face as she tries to cover up.

When the bell rings to end the round, Olivia has a cut bottom lip as she returns to her corner, her coaching team telling her to use her striking more.

While Scarlett is stretching her arms as she talks to her coach, a few marks on her but she seems relaxed after her first ever round in a real MMA fight.

Round 2:
Knowing what to expect now; they both come out their corners harder, dodging punches before throwing some of their own, most punches and kicks are glancing blows then full on clean.

When Scarlett tries to feint into a take down again; it is too predictable this time, leading to Olivia landing a front kick into the chest of the New Yorker to knock her back a few steps.

Seeing a chance to get back at Johansson after the opening round, Olivia steps in with a left cross to her cheek and an attempted right head kick that Scarlett just about ducks out the way off.

Olivia is pushing back Scarlett around the outside of the cage with her striking, Scarlett certainly not being overmatched exactly, more outworked as Olivia smashes her head back with combinations.

Blood now runs from the nose of Scarlett, who forces a muay Thai style clinch with Olivia, knees hammer the others side as they look to be gritting their gumshields.

With two minutes to go, Olivia breaks free from the clinch, but again gets taken down by Scarlett, who is working Olivia with clean head strikes before Olivia can pull Scarlett's head down.

Rolling them to their sides; both are locked in a power struggle as they exchange positions, Scarlett though looks the better wrestler as she takes the back of Munn, trying to get in a rear naked choke in the dying moments of the round.

The bell rings though to maybe save Olivia from being choked out, both fighters corners work to patch up their fighters faces, swelling is forming on their cheeks as they glare across the cage at each other.

Round 3:
Final round and both women yell "f***ing bring it!" To their rival, circling and trading stiff fists and kicks that has the crowd roaring again for them both.

Deflecting a straight gives Olivia an opening, she lands an uppercut that snaps back the head of Scarlett, WITH A LEFT HEAD KICK SENDING SCARLETT DOWN TO HER SIDE!

Scarlett looks buzzed as she turns to her back and tries to cover up, Olivia gets several hammer like rights and lefts through to the face of Johansson, blooding her nose with two hard strikes.

The referee looks closely as Scarlett is trying to fire back from the bottom, with her guard more open though she is getting hammered, A RIGHT ACROSS HER JAW SEEMS TO HAVE TURN SCARLETT'S LIGHTS OUT! THE REFEREE DRAGGING OLIVIA OFF HER AS IT IS ALL OVER!

Winner Olivia Munn KO Round 3 (time 1.14)

After:
Olivia gets up to her feet and yells to the crowd "I f***ing told you I'd knock her out!" Raising her fists into the air as the crowd chant her name.

The ringside doctor along with Scarlett's coach checks on her, with smelling salts needed to bring her back to the land of the living it seems as she splutters awake.

Getting helped to sit up; Scarlett holds her head as she admits "f*** this is harder then boxing" getting told off her coach that it certainly is, but they praise Scarlett for doing great up till the finish.

All the while Olivia is getting her gloves taken off and a drink, she thanks her coach for the support and training that got her this win, hugging them even as she is covered in sweat to a chuckle from her coach.

Scarlett sees Olivia come to the center of the ring for the final result to be announced, with both women exchanging a cold stare as Olivia gets her hand raised.

The winner asking her new rival "got something to say to me?" Making Scarlett against advice from her coach and the doctor square up to Olivia, the crowd seem to be loving the fact these two seem far from over.

"Yeah I have something to say, you may have kicked my ass in this cage, I know you could never beat me in an FCBA ring though you bytch" replies Scarlett with eyes full of fire.

Smirking at the blonde, Olivia tells her "well maybe we are long overdue finding out whose better in the boxing ring hmm, let's find out bytch" putting her hand out to Scarlett, who accepts the handshake and clearly the challenge to a boxing match in future.

They part ways as Scarlett leaves the cage, she gets applaud for her effort here tonight, which she thanks the fans for by blowing them kisses, she will be enjoying the rest though as her cheeks are puffy and her right eye looks like it will be a hell of a shiner.

Meanwhile in the cage Olivia poses with her coaching team, she smiles even as her face bores the marks of battle, she gets a roar from her supporters when she asks "should I do this again?" She smiles though doesn't look in a hurry for another MMA bout.

Leaving the cage Olivia gets a gold medal from the organisers at the top of the aisle, wearing it proudly as she poses with her hands on her hips, though talk quickly is turning to when will Olivia and Scarlett fight in an FCBA ring?
