(Downunder Boxing vs Holloway Boxing)

Intro:
Next up Miranda Kerr looks to stop Dua Lipa's rise up the rankings, Chicago's Sears Center is the battleground of this lightweight contenders clash.

Miranda is 36 years old; she stands 5'9, her record is 32 wins, 30 coming by way of knockout, with 10 defeats, she is the current ACB bantamweight champion, a former BBU bantamweight champion, BBU lightweight champ and a former Queen of the Ice Hotel.

Dua is 24 years old; she stands 5'8, her record is 13 wins, all coming by way of knockout, with just 3 defeats.

The fighters were interviewed by Lucy Liu on the set of the FCBA Network, first up Miranda stepped on the set wearing a red dress with black heels, she was beaming as she hugged Lucy before sitting down.

First up Miranda is asked about how she is feeling going into this contest, the model answers "I feel in great shape, even after having a big Christmas dinner here in America as I trained for this fight" winking at Lucy as the laugh.

Miranda then tells her "but I am feeling good going into this bout, Dua is an exciting fighter and will test where I am right now" looking truly excited by the fight ahead of her.

The final question is what are her goals over the next twelve months, Kerr grins and taps her gut before replying "I want an FCBA title to wrap around this tight waist, becoming the first ever ACB, BBU and FCBA title holder in history" Lucy telling her she has a hell of a chance to do it.

Next up on the set is Dua, she is wearing a black T-shirt with denim jeans and black heels, she gives Lucy a big hug before sitting down.

Dua is asked about her feelings on Miranda, the singer replies "I have a lot of respect for her, she is in the argument with Yvonne (Strahovski) on being the best ever Australian fighter in celebrity boxing" Lucy seemingly nodding in agreement.

She is asked how she feels she matches up to Miranda then, Dua thinks before answering "well she might have a harder punch then me, I have speed on my side though to give her big problems"

Continuing after she sits up straighter "at the end of the day this fight is about me announcing to the world that I have the talent to be a champion, i'm going to grab this chance with both hands" Lucy shakes Dua's hand before she heads off the stage.

Fight night; Miranda heads out first with Nikki Visser behind her, she is waving to the fans as she is jogging down the aisle to the ring.

The Aussie is wearing a green sports bra, green trunks with a gold kangaroo badge on her left leg, green shoes with gold on, gold gloves, while her hair is in a ponytail.

Stepping into the ring with a big smile, she jogs over to her corner and poses for the crowd arms in the air, beginning her warm up routine as Nikki tells her to beat some Dua ass.

The Holloway coach is behind Dua as she heads out on the stage, looking ready to fight as she nods while staring at the ring, beginning to strut down the aisle with her arms out to her side.

The British fighter is wearing a black sports bra with gold stripes down the sides, matching trunks with "Lipa" in gold letters on the waistband, black shoes, gold gloves and her hair is braided.

Getting inside the ring, Dua bows to each side of the ring, getting a cheer from her supporters as she smiles warmly at them, returning to her corner with her coach telling her to bring the heat on Miranda and knock her out.

The fighters both look relaxed around each other, no hint of any hate between them as they listen to the referee, just purely business for them tonight.

They respectfully bump gloves before returning to their corners, both looking serious now as they are ready for the fight to start, with the bell ringing to start 10 rounds of lightweight action.

Round 1:
They kick off trading at the center of the ring as they circle, Dua dipping her head to dodge punches aimed at her, landing nice body shots to the toned abs of Miranda.

Who shows off her power is land a left hook across the cheek of Lipa to turn her head, forcing Dua to retreat back when a straight smacks her flush in the face.

That seems to make Dua realise she can't stay in the pocket with Miranda, using her footwork and her jab to keep the Aussie on the outside, slipping most punches now when Kerr tries stepping in close.

A double jab to the abs of Miranda makes her grunt out, with Dua stepping back when a left cross is aimed at her head, the Holloway corner looking excited to see.

In the final thirty seconds of the round, Miranda shows her experience to read where Dua is going to go, landing a straight to her face, then switches up to hooking the body as she steps in tight.

At the bell they tap a glove with their opponent to show respect, then jogging back to their corners to be giving advice now they know what they are facing.

Round 2:
Dua starts off on her bike to start the round, drilling a sweet jab through gaps she can find in the defences of her opponent, switching the target up so Miranda can't adapt her guard.

Slipping a straight though allows Miranda to land a counter uppercut that doesn't land flush, bust Kerr steps in with a left cross that knocks back Lipa.

The hard hitting Miranda lands a left/right cross around the guard of the Brit, forcing Dua to have to fight off the back foot, which isn't looking great right now due to the pressure she is under.

When Dua does get some space, she is able to keep Miranda to the outside with a crisp double jab square to the face of the model to knock her back.

Again the experience of Miranda shows, she steps to the right with Dua, landing a right cross as she cuts off the ring, forcing Dua into a toe to toe exchange as Dua can't get on the move.

The round comes to a close with Miranda returning to a happier looking corner crew, they tell her "keep on top of her, she won't take your power all night long"

Round 3:
Back out the come with Due getting clipped as she moves side to side, Miranda looking to keep on top of her as she looks more aggressive.

A missed left cross from the Aussie though leaves her open to a double jab to the side of her face, Dua slipping a right before countering with a left hook to the opposite side.

Dua is seemingly back in control of things with her speed, Miranda mostly landing glancing blows as she can't really set her feet to pound the face of the singer in.

While the younger fighter is drilling in combinations when she finds an opening, a little blood runs from the nostrils of Miranda as she steps back to the outside of the ring.

As we get into the late part of the round, Miranda catches an overly keen Dua coming inside with a straight to the top of her head, followed by a left across her face.

Miranda stepping in tight as she let's her hands go, both women trading stiff body shots as their corners roar them on alongside their rabid fans.

At the bell they take a step back before turning on their heels, Dua looking the more relaxed of the two, Nikki telling Miranda to not be so tense, yes it isn't going to be easy to match speed with Dua, out smart her is the message.

Round 4:
Thudding her gloves as she comes back out to fight, Miranda is stalking Dua more aggressively around the ring, leading to them trading stiff jabs and straights through the others mitts to faces.

Then Miranda times her attack better by leaning out the way of a right cross, landing an uppercut to knock back Lipa onto her heels, sweat flying off the hair of Dua.

Who finds herself being powered back onto the ropes, Dua covering up as Miranda starts trying to break her down, body shots seems to be the main weapon of Kerr as she tries to open up the singer up top.

Instead she takes a right across her face as Dua tries to fight her way off the ropes, Miranda takes a step back before getting back into the fray, toe to toe go the fighters, even as the Holloway team look to be biting their nails.

But Dua does move away into the space she wants, to do it though she has blood running from her bottom lip, Miranda still hunting her down too across the ring.

Leading to them trading stiff jabs as the seconds tick away to the end of the round, at the bell Miranda gets a thumbs up from Nikki to say good job, though when she sits on her stool she is told "you need to step up a gear, so far you two are fighting neck and neck, you need to put on the afterburners and leave her in the dust"

Round 5:
The crowd roar as the fighters let their hands go more, Dua planting her feet more so she can get off combinations, mostly aimed at the head of her opponent.

Who will happily sit and trade with her, sweat and some blood fly off them through the air, eyes locked in intense stares as they look to be making a stand this round to try to prove whose better.

Dua steps back to open up space, Miranda follows her and lands a left cross to her cheek, a follow up straight pushes back Dua onto the ropes as Kerr steps in to hammer in several body shots.

Pulling Miranda into a clinch, Dua knows she can't be pinned back, the referee tapping both women on the shoulders to break, which they do cleanly enough, Dua using the break to move off the ropes.

Where when they resume she drills a jab/straight into the blood nose of Miranda to make her step back, Dua puts her left forearm across the guard of Kerr, while her right is like a piston going to work on the abs of the model.

Now it's Miranda needing to clinch up with Dua, heads rub as they look angrily into each others eyes, frustration showing as they can't seem to be able to take break the deadlock that's forming.

After they are broken apart, they stand and hell breaks loose as they both land hard hooks to the others cheeks, all the way till the bell rings to end an evenly fought round.

Sitting on their stools looking across the ring at each other with blood on their faces, their corner teams work to clean them up as they speak to them on what they need to improve upon.

Round 6:
At the bell they come out again looking for control of things, Miranda is the first to land with a left/right straight into the mouth of her opponent to make her cry out.

Miranda took the center of the ring and kept making Dua move around the outside of it, both landing some stiff straight shots, Miranda's landed more often though to make her supporters roar her on.

The left cheek of Dua was looking puffy from the big rights it was taking, still she gamely fought on by ducking under a right hook to counter with two lefts under the ribs of Kerr.

Who nudges her back but finds it hard to keep Dua pinned back, instead it becomes more evenly fought again as Dua is slipping more punches to come in tight to work.

A left across the bloody lips of the Brit though make her back up, a follow up right snaps her head back as Miranda regains control, pressing a covering up Lipa into a corner.

The dying seconds of the round sees Miranda throwing a flurry of punches, Dua doing enough to block most of them, the ones that get through though send sweat flying off her impressive body and beautiful face.

The round ends soon enough, Miranda sitting on her stool hoping she is finally breaking down Dua as Nikki wants her to do, they seem to be gaining confidence that the fight is theirs right now.

Across the ring Dua gets patched up as she listens to her coach telling her to not stand and trade as much, they know she is tough but that doesn't make it smart to get into the firing line of her opponent.

Round 7:
Miranda comes out her corner looking to keep bullying back Dua, she misses though with her first two punch combo, leaving her open to an uppercut on her chin that sends her back a step.

The Brit ducks a left hook from Miranda as she seems to have smartened up on how to attack the veteran, landing two hooks to the body before she eats a right across the top of her head that makes her retreat back.

The Aussie lands a nice jab/right cross combo as she looks to get back on top, starting to press Dua back near the ropes again till she is pulled into a clinch by the singer.

Broken up by the referee; Dua doubles up her jab as she moves around the ring, Miranda looking focused on closing that gap up, SHE SWINGS A LEFT CROSS THAT DUA DIPS UNDER, AN OVERHAND RIGHT TO THE TEMPLE OF MIRANDA MAKES HER FALL TO HER KNEES!

Dua looks stunned to see Miranda down on her knees, the referee needing to nudge her away to begin their count, 1...2...3... Miranda is blinking as she tries to clear her head, 4...5... Trying to push herself up, 6...7.. Her legs give way though and back know to her knees she goes, 8...9...10 all Miranda can do is watch herself being counted out.

Winner Dua Lipa KO Round 7

After:
Even though she won Dua still looks shocked she pulled it off, her puts her hands on her head before it sinks in and she jumps up and down.

Jogging back to her corner, the Holloway trainer hugs her and tells her "that's my girl, you're moving up in the world!" Making Dua look proud of herself knowing she beat an elite fighter.

Meanwhile Miranda has to be helped up onto her stool by Nikki, the ringside doctor checking her out as she admits "I left myself too open, sorry Nikki" who can't hide her frustration at the result, but tells Miranda she will come back stronger from this fight.

Both women are cleaned up before they come to the center of the ring, Miranda still a little shaky on her feet, makes it a point though to come out on her own for the final result to be announced to prove she is OK.

The fighters exchange a fist bump of respect, saying great fight to the other before the referee gets between them, lifting up Dua's hand to a loud cheer from her supporters, which she can't help shed a tear of joy listening to.

Miranda let's Dua have her moment in the spotlight, leaving the ring with her corner team, already they are talking about training on the Monday and where they need to work on, that's how focused she has become on getting better to win a title here in the FCBA.

While things are more cheerful inside the ring, Dua bowing to each side as she gets her name chanted by the fans, her coach telling her "imagine when you win a title, the roof will blow off the arena you fight in" getting a big grin from Lipa.

Who then heads out the ring and up the aisle, this could be the first statement win of many for Dua as she moves up the rankings quickly.
