TESS VALMORE
The FNL Proving Ground 2020 PPV was essentially a one bout card. There were actually five fights, but the first four paled in comparison, when the final bout made the fights four bouts forgettable. The Jenner/Righetti fight promised to be a great fight and it indeed, lived up to its expectations. It was nine plus rounds of mayhem between the two top pound for pound rated fighters. I have always said that Righetti would win until she didn’t. In this fight, she didn’t. Righetti survived a third around knockdown to continue the fight. Jenner survived a sixth round knockdown. In th final minute of the tenth round Jenner caught Righetti with a short hook and Righetti went down. This time she didn’t beat the count. A great win for Jenner.
In the first fight, Beer beat Cabello who was in the ring for the first time in a year. Cabello has to make a decision. Either fight more or leave.
The Regan/Azalea was pretty much of a gimme as Azalea lost her seventh fight out of her last eight.
Looks like Kerr’s days as a top ten lightweight are over as she lost to Lipa.
After losing eight of her last nine Shay Mitchell won, beating Olsen who while having a career winning record, now has a 5-7 record under the Fates banner.
